Whats this new Town Square Thing?

Title pretty much explains my question. Really confused about what this whole Town Square thing is. Please help thanks

Basically "Town Square" will be a small portion of the game that will be released before the game is finished. It will allow players to interact with others such as talking, via Text or Voice, allow them to do tasks such as character customization, go to the pub, cinema, do small "Social" things etc.

I believe the devs are planning to release the modules in the same format as Star Citizen, with one coming out every few months, depending on development.

I can't wait for this to come out and create our characters, and get a first look at what this awesome game will bring. The whole module thing is the best idea for this game.
