Will you ever release the game? Or is it just a fake Website to make money???

I know it's a lot of work to do this game, but you said it will release in early 2017. But now it's late 2017 without any Progress in town square...

Firstly, please realise that this question gets asked ALL THE TIME so please use the "Search" bar and navigate around the forums to find the answer before posting.

This is not a scam website. You can keep up-to-date with the progress by checking out posts at the Dev Blog and by looking around the community.

 

Please find below some useful links which you can visit to find out some more about the game. With such a small Dev Team (in comparison to larger game companies) of course there are going to be a lot of setbacks but it's a lot better than releasing the game with a lot of bugs and when it's not even finished. For anyone who has the "Founder" package or higher, first access will be released when Town Square module is finished which will allow you to create a character, go to the barbers and socialise with others until the game is fully released.

Hey there, as you know and said you know how hard it is, you should also know games get delayed all the time and you wouldn't go and call them ones a scam for money and so why be any different here. The game was delayed 3 times because of many things including technical stuff.

I have a question for you if it is a fake website to make money why would they even issue a refund? They even mentioned they do issue refunds in there live gaming stream on twitch.

Beta does not release after town square, it releases after the 3rd module which is racing, just thought I'd make that clear before this kid goes off about not receiving beta after first module  but yeah all correct and same with the next two replies from @LuckyDuck and @Xzothi

Allow me to correct myself: Access to the Town Square is what I actually meant. Once the Town Square module is released, you'll be able to get in, create your character, go to the barbers, etc. and socialise with others who also have the Founder or higher package. However, you won't be able to go anywhere out of the Town Square.

That is because it is a alpha but anyone with a beta module will get access from what I understand.  @KennyBatin17 @xBrianHx   Also according to there webpage with information about the town square module.

I already knew about the Town Square Module, I simply worded it wrongly in my original reply to them.

I just wanted that information to be more clear because I have been confused already about what has been said. Just so it helps others not get the same confusion I had.

Tomorrow, on Friday the 25th there will be a new dev blog posted. This was confirmed on this evening's stream. That blog will feature an update of how they see where they are, etc. Also the new office they have, and stuff like that. Also game related info, of course. With a blog like that, you can estimate yourself how long you'll think it will take them. They'll refrain from giving estimates regarding release dates now and in the future. They've made that mistake before in the past, but will never again. So I suggest you read the upcoming dev blog several times over, and make your own conclusions. I believe that's the safest way.

On june 19th they posted an update saying "Once the clothing store interior is complete following that, the Town Square environment is ready to go" And It's been over two months now so yeah. I remember back in march when they said it would be released "soon" and I'm saying the same thing I said back then, it wont be released anytime "soon" as the devs like to say a lot. The way It's going I don't even think It's going to be this year.

If you bothered to read @Genesai's post above, you'd see that he mentioned how the Devs have said estimated dates in the past and "They've made that mistake in the past, but never will again".

Rather than simply complaining about it, just do some research and entertain yourself in the meanwhile with other things and reading up on some things around the community. Plus, the dev blog should tell us quite a lot since it's been a while since the previous one.

I was there during the stream. I personally do not care about release dates.(Good information for people who do.) They are fluid anyway. I still will check it out though. I liked some of the information I was able to get out of the stream.  I was only going on about who will get access to the town square module or not.  That is where my confusion was.

I thought they said expect the new video before the next dev blog on the last one? Where did that go 

Here's the quote if you want proof they said it:

Identity's funding and progress has exploded since we showed you the workings of the housing and apartment systems on YouTube, and now we want you to see vehicles, drug production and weapon systems.

I can't promise any dates on this video, but it'll be soon. In fact, I expect you to watch this video before you receive the next dev blog. This coming video is sort of a catalyst, and I can't wait to show you what's in store after it."

The video was delayed as they are starting or will be starting to film it very soon. 

Also the reason for the video being delayed was that some stuff were not back from an artist as it wasn't complete but I am sure we will see something soon.

While also on Thursdays stream, they did say that the video was delayed.
