I've always found it rather annoying in ArmA Life or Gmod Life mods that driving into town can sometimes be quite a hassle as upon exiting your vehicle it is unlocked and random players will just bolt for your car with the intention of going on a joy ride. Will there be measures taken against this occurring?

There will probably as in Arma 3 be a system with car keys allowing you to lock your car. As in real life if people are standing next to it they could steal it before you lock it but that would only make it so you will park it in more expensive parking lots faster. Otherwise the cops will notice a speed devil and stop them.
