Posted May 1, 2017 (edited) Hey Well I bought the game, long time ago actually, but dident play it yet. Now im about to give it good go, and was thinking to buy a new ship as well. I did buy the standalone Squadron 42 but its only missions, with are ok, but I would like to fly in the universe as well, witch leads me to this package:https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Packages/Avenger-Stalker Is that a good starter choice ? I have the Aurora MR on the singleplayer, so was thinking to try something new. Or was actually thinking to maby buy this instead:https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Packages/Cutlass-Black Those packages gives acces to Universe right ? I dont think its standing there very clear. Best regards Turaxishttps://www.turaxis.com/ Edited May 1, 2017 by Turaxis

Posted May 2, 2017 (edited) Turaxis You only need to buy 1 "package" to get in to the MMO Star Citizen. The single player game is called squadron 42 . You don't need to buy a ship to get that, that can be bought for $45 alone or you can buy a ship package combo that has the single player game ( sq42 ) and SC (the open world mmo) for 60 bucks. Once you have 1 "package" that comes with the digital download of Star Citizen , you never have to buy it again. From then on you can just buy Standalone ships , that are cheaper then the game package ones. So for example you can buy the Aurora MR with just the MMO Star citizen for 45 bucks here https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Packages/Aurora-MR-SC-Starter And you can buy the single player game Squadron 42 by it self and never play the MMO here for 45 bucks here https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Packages/Squadron-42-Standalone-Pledge NOW, if you want to play both, like the single player and the mmo, like most peeps do, you can buy just one package combo for 60 bucks here. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Packages/Aurora-MR-Star-Citizen-Squadron-42-Combo Now those other 2 ships you where talking about the Avenger Stalker package for 75 bucks and the Cutlass Black package for $115 bucks can be bought as standalone ships here https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/extras?product_id=72 As a standalone you only need to pay 60 bucks for the Avenger and $100 bucks for the Cutlass Black. Now, if you already bought all these packages its NOT the END of the world. Cloud Imperium Games AKA CIG, allows you to cash in ships and packages you bought for credit to your account. Just login into your account on the website and go to your hanger, Then click on you ship and it will give you options like gifting it to another person or to Exchange for Store Credit.. So if I understand what you are saying , You want to play the Single player and the MMO and you want the Aurora MR , Avenger Stalker and the Cutlass Black (which by the way there are re doing this ship and making it bigger so now's the time to buy it cause it may go up in price) . If this is true then what you want to do is exchange in all your packs and then buy these 3. 1. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Packages/Aurora-MR-Star-Citizen-Squadron-42-Combo <--- this will come with the single player and the MMO, you never have to buy ether of them again. 2. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Standalone-Ships/Aegis-Dynamics-Avenger 3. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Standalone-Ships/Cutlass-Black total cost will be $220.00 US dollars I know the store can be confusion at time to new peeps, so just drop a line on there forums or live chat and a lot of peeps will be happy to help. I hope I have helped Kami Edited May 2, 2017 by Kamikaze
Posted May 2, 2017 (edited) That was a lot of info I did buy the squadron 42 long time ago, as a standalone package, and yestoday I bought the black cutlass package, I will however not be playing it alot for now, untill after my summerhollidays. Im doing 2 websites same time (one regarding Identity, and another regarding Star Citizen. And I also have planned a custom pc build, soon as I get back from my summerhollidays). I am helping a friend to build up an org. in Star Citizen with all what that means and it will take some time. What really did confuse me was the 2 packages they called for start packages, and the rest of the packages, they was not called start packages, even that they actually do the same, and then there was single ship sale (sold not as a package), and no explanation on the website about the diffrence. I asked on SC´s forum, and they talked about some perks, that could be reset by buying a new package, I was like sigh. I got it solved as I wanted in the end, but I really hope for other players that they will make their website more understandable for other players. Alot of the info there are either writed very strange, or simply missing. The referral code are another thing, its easy to find on own account, but not very easy to figure out what to do with it for other players, that want to actually use the code. - not saying its impossible, just made far from logic. (I did write a mail to SC about the missunderstandings that I had with their website, so lets see if they change anything in the future). @Kamikaze you explained it fine, thx.
