Hello everyone,

I read an interview a few days ago in which Asylum Entertainment answered general questions to Identity.

One question was about private servers and if they will exist.

The answer was yes. I guess the Idea is a server structure similar to Altis Life or something like this.

But I think a mega-server based game would be much better.

The reasons for that are really simple:

- It would increase the feeling of living in a real town (300 people or something like this arent enough)

- It would increase the effort it takes to get at the top of every career (more competition) and also makes it more attractive, because you would have power over thousands of people. Just like in real life.

- There are just always people. So you dont have the problem that for example no taxi driver is online or something like this.

Yes. It would be effort for Asylum Entertainment to provide the servers for this, but I think for the idea, which stands behind Identity it is the only real way to get as far as possible to real life.

Please bring in some arguments whether youre supporting my idea or not. Im interested in a good discussion.

If my informations are wrong (there isnt much information and I´m pretty new to this) please tell me.

Greeting,

Michael Adams

@MichaelAdams I like the idea, but to pull that off and not have instancing would ruin the game and the experience entirely. The map won't be big enough by far and so it wouldn't really work.

The possible numbers of players being in the thousands is good but it doesn't necessarily mean it is the best optimal player amount to have and also just because it is possible, it don't mean there has to be thousands of players. 300 might not seem a lot but it is more than any other game has really.

I think a optimal amount of players would be 500 - 1000 players but anymore will be too crowded and will make it not as fun.
