No, progress most definitely won't save because well you will have to re-create your character for beta and also the devs don't want anyone to miss all the character customisation on release. Kareoke, go in the cinema( watch films), try the apartment customisation, Socialise!, try character customisation, play mini games like pool or chess. I know everything I have listed may not be but these are all social aspects too, the whole idea of the Town Square is to socialise and have a go at these features as it is called "The Social Module" for a reason. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted January 5, 2017 Sure that sounds logic to me, but in townsquare will also be some shops and we would need to make some money to try them out.. maybe find bugs.. also if we could earn/spend money we could find money glitches etc. Which can be fixed for the beta or even for the end game. I mean, of course it would be great to have money, and then something else like transportation for the economy to work, etc... but what we are getting is one of the modules in advance, not the whole game. There's also the convenience of the feedback we can give from this module soon enough before implementing heavier features like economy. Only when you see the real playerbase behavior you can detect things (not necessarily bugs) that need adjustment or balance. It's better to tackle those before you really have to change deeper features like economy. I mean, economy needs social interaction first, so let's play and balance this before moving to the next step, and we won't regret not having done so in an earlier stage.
