Posted January 4, 2016 I want to be a SWAT member, however I don't want this to be like GMod where people go SWAT, and run into a combat situation untrained and end up getting shot. I was wondering, will there be a training academy with player instructors for members of SWAT? This would be incredibly immersive, realistic, and just flat out helpful. I'm also wondering the same for regular cops, but SWAT is mostly my focus.
Posted January 4, 2016 I'd imagine the chief of the police force would be training others how he wants them to go about this- hopefully a real cop can assist in the police force official servers, that way there is actual tactics and strategy to the police arrests and it's not Just pure hope. I guess, it depends on if you get a crew to learn how to work with. But personally, I don't see why you couldn't start the training and be the swat leader.(:
Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) If you choose a law enforcement career; you'll have to go through a series of steps, challenges or achievements in order to be promoted. Through this you'll inherently learn how to do things correctly and not just gungho all guns blazing into something as simple as a petty theft case. Notwithstanding your fellow officers are most likely to correct you, and worse if the Chief finds out you may be demoted! Detectives could actually check guns for fingerprints which is also helpful. Posted March 28, 2016 I hope SWAT doesnt turn out anywhere near to ARMA3 or GMod RP servers, they are shit, ineffective and to be quite fair the majority of those are simply unskilled. SWAT, like any other specialised unit, should and most likely will, be either cherrypicked or have very harsh try outs where failing is a real problem rather than something you do for fun. It's not hard and I'm sure they will be able to pull it off, I just hope they take their times doing it.
