Not Your Average Leftist Party

Recommended Posts

hmm after reading a bit of the CCPs platform and the other platforms of the Moderate Party and the Anarcho-Capitalist Party, I'd be inclined to join the CCP due to its organization and well thought out platform which obviously reflects on them as devoted players who take this seriously. Unfortunately, as a left-leaning libertarian (libertarian socialist if that makes it easier for you, i don't like to call it that because it brings out ignorant stigmas due to its connotation) - though i don't support a complete free market like most libertarian socialists do, but rather a mixed market economy (free market with some government regulation) - so my ideals conflict with a couple areas of the CCPs and Moderate Party's platform. Due to these conflicts I'd be interested in forming a left-leaning, libertarian political party. If anyone is interested in forming a legitimate left-leaning political party to offer the people of Identity an alternative choice to their current options please contact me so that we can get organized and develop a throught-out platform that caters not only the the left-leaning, but to all citizens of Identity as well.

P.S. I don't have anything against the CCPs, Moderates, or the Anarcho-Capitalists, but i feel that while they held a few shared views, there were too many conflicting views that have pushed me away from wanting to join their respective parties. Good luck to all of you, wish you success in the future! If things here don't work out then I will be giving each of you another look over and join one of you three (assuming no other new parties are formed between now and then).

I am intrigued by your label of "left-leaning libertarian."  I am interested, how can one be a collectivist libertarian?  I acknowledge that you do not like to use that label, as to the rest of us, it is very contradicting.

Personally, as a libertarian myself, I do wonder what you have to offer.  Most of our agreement probably relates to social issues.
I will see what issues matter most to me on election day and vote on the candidate that prioritizes those issues, and so I could very well be a supporter of you, one day.

Kind regards,
Jared

Yes, most of our agreements would be along the social aspect. I support the social aspects of libertarians and on the economic side I am more supportive of Keynesian economics. I recognize that this game is not real life, so we'll need to truly wait until the release of the game to see how economic systems will truly work in Identity (i have played other games where state capitalism is economically superior, and others where a complete free market works the best). So until we are able to truly see how things work out I'd believe it would be best to have a semi-regulated free market, with government intervention only happening when necessary to keep away from severe economic depression. If you're still interested, I'd love to speak with you about possibly going into further detail. As a pretty open-minded person I believe that if we are able to work together to form a party we'd be able to create a party that could cater to people from all walks of life and backgrounds, something necessary to put up good showings in elections.

Ultimately, that is the case, we'll need to wait until the game is released.
That sounds like a good idea, working together to form a party to cater to a wide range of individuals.  I definitely look forward to the future of the development of this community, and seeing where the political aspect of the game takes us.
It would be a pleasure to go into more detail with you.

Thank your interest and support so far! I have sent you a PM with more specifics about possible ideals for this party that I hope will come to fruition.
