Warrants and Arrests

Recommended Posts

So my question is this, before the police arrest someone, unless of course the cop witnesses the crime or is called to the scene to arrest someone, will police require arrest warrants to arrest someone?

I'm also curious about housing, now obviously I think police should be able to enter homes to arrest someone, but with the whole metal detectors thing at the entrance of each housing door, will this be made possible? Or will it be that the owner of the house and the police are allowed to carry weapons into the home?

Thanks!

I think it will be like real life, if it is a he said she said, they cant do anything, if there are witnesses, then they can arrest you, if cops believe you are supplying drugs to dealers, then they can gather evidence and get a warrant to arrest you and search your cars, property, etc.

i think there will be an awesome witness/evedence system. with the judge or jury having the final say on wether the acused is guilty or not

It would be good if it were like Australia's state of New South Wales laws how police are allowed to search both premises and vehicle if you are a registered firearms owner to ensure correct storage of the firearm.

Police should always be armed whilst on duty, just like in real life. I think someone said something about this on Identity's facebook page, but I can't find the comment at the moment.

I actually love this idea, it would be really neat to have, but it should be it's own thing, separate from the other warrant and arrest laws :D.

Depending on which country you live in of course. In New Zealand, our officers aren't armed with guns, they're taken through basic training of firearms but not assumed competent and permitted to be holding firearms during day-to-day patrols. A typical officer has a pepper spray, baton, taser and cuffs. If firearms are required for whatever reason; a request for a specialist team is made over the radio to attend the callout.

Drones are also used in investigations.

In Australia, if you're out in the outback without a gun and call for backup, you would probably be waiting for a very long time haha. On the island that Identity will be on in the Eastern USA seaboard and the fact that there will be "dirty cities" it would be almost idiotic for police in the city not be armed with a firearm, but maybe train police could remain unarmed? Arming officers though should be the discretion of the server owner, with maybe options like New Zealands Armed Offenders Squad able to be implemented?

Drones are a good idea though.
