Posted August 12, 2016 Max Goodwell was born in 1988 in Detroit Michigan to a single mother and a motorcycle club. His father left his mother when she was 6 months pregnant with him. When she was around 8 months pregnant she met a man named Daniel Smith. Daniel was part of a motorcycle club by the name of The Sons of Liberty. He was acting President of the club at the time and decided to settle down with Max' mom. When Max was born he was given a life expectancy of only 6 months. But he surpassed that number and grew into a violent child. Max started experiencing black outs that caused him to go into fits of rage. His mother took him to the doctors and the only thing they could see that triggered it was stress and anguish. Max didn't care, all he knew was that he had a new toy to play with. Whenever Max would get mad he'd purposely go over the line and make himself black out. This was the case in 6th grade when Max blacked out and attacked a fellow student. He broke his hand in a door and hit him with a chair several times. Max was expelled and home schooled for the rest of his teenage life. Rarely going outside because of his problem, he started feeling like and outcast and grew hatred for everybody except for Daniel. Daniel made Max feel okay about who he was. And later made him feel like he had a cause. At the age of 15 Max was brought in the The Sons' warehouse where they had him kill. They told him that the man they tied up was going to kill him and his mom. That he wanted to rape him. Max didn't want to get mad, he wanted to control it. The man who was tied up started calling him names. Saying things like "You're nothing you pansy." Max felt anger, instead of for it to go away he embraced. He picked up a nearby wrench from the ground and beat the man to death with it. What Max didn't realize is that he had just killed the right hand man of one of the most dangerous Chinese gangs in Michigan. Daniel had him do it not as an initiation, but as a favor. Daniel didn't want to go to prison so he had Max do it for him. Max was eventually caught and sent to juvenile hall for 8 years. In that time Max' mom was shot and killed by the Chinese gang. Max was furious, he knew what Daniel did and wanted revenge. But unfortunately that was taken from him too. Daniel was killed by his own MC for betraying family. For 8 years Max spent his life hating and wanting to be angry. But in that time in jail he learned how to control his anger. Make his black outs less frequent, and learned how to fight without them. Max was 23 years old when he got out. And the only people waiting for him were The Sons. They offered him a full patch for the time he spent and for not ratting on them. In his eyes he was given a second life. A chance to be free from what he'd done in the past. So for 5 years Max rode with them and became high up with them. He was on his way to becoming VP, but then shit hit the fan again. The Chinese gang came back for Max. They killed for Sons and came after him after one of them squealed. Max packed his shit and left Detroit as soon as possible. He took his bike, vest and a bag of money and guns. After leaving Detroit Max stopped and thought about things. About if this is what he wanted. He dumped the guns and ripped off his patch. It was time for a start in a new place. And he found it with The Island.
