Posted June 14, 2016 Hey I've been following along with development and this is my first time posting here. I have the 'Founder' Rank and like the rest of you am looking forward to getting to try the Town Square module when it's ready. I have a burning question for the developers, and that is about virtual reality support. This is a more than fitting experience for both seated, standing and room-scale VR? If VR support isn't going to be in the first module(s) is it planned? 1

Posted June 14, 2016 We absolutely have plans to implement VR into Identity. John, our project lead is very excited for that. We're still working out the best solution for movement, but we imagine most people will use it when driving. VR probably won't be in the first module, unless John sneaks it in before launch. It would be awesome to have it ready for the movie theater though.

Let him know that there are about 50% of VR users that like (and actually prefer) classic style movement over the teleport-to-move mechanic. You could also have 3rd person (adventure game style fixed camera) for movement while on foot if you (like me) dislike the idea of teleport mechanics, the game I'm development will be using both (can be chosen by the end user). So if he 'sneaks' it in, even if it's a debug setting tell him to leave standard fps style movement on for first person VR movement. It's good to hear that you'll be investing in VR support though as I'm sure a lot more people will be interested from the VR community. 7 minutes ago, Shimozukachi said: if it's not you can download a free vr tool Those 'tools' aren't that good, they might work ok for some games but not without a lot of modding and poking about. It's always ideal to have first party VR support.
