If you die on Official servers, you will wait for a ambulance or respawn at your last bind location.

You will lose majority of your items on-hand such as physical cash, drugs, any weapon, etc. Things like clothing, phone, ID will all stay with you though.

Sorry to resurrect but I wanted to follow up without creating a new topic. 

@LightBringer you said “on hand” so anything you’ve got stored or in a bank is safe? Just making sure I understand correctly.

Correct xport;) even some stuff "on hand" is safe, and some stuff is "dropped"

If you’re carrying anything in your player’s inventory (except clothes) like a vape pen or a handgun or something.  It will be lost.  But, similar to GTA Online, you will still keep your car, your home if you have one, any money deposited in the bank, etc. Really, anything on-pocket that you have on you can be lost if you’re killed.
