Welcome to the introduction of the RealLifePlayer Real Estate! As some of you might now beforehand this was a page called Turtle Beach real estate! Info concerning me (you can skip this and got to business): About me: To begin with, I want to introduce myself, my Name is Patrick aka RealLifePlayer (Steam Name). I am 15 years old and come from Germany. I think thats all you really Need and want to know about me My plans: In Identity I am planning on being a businessman (as my Name tells) and opening my own real estate company. First of all though I need to get Money to be able to afford the houses I will rent to my customers. However, I have thought ahead as I bought the Speed Demon pack where I have all I could possibly Need (A car, a bit of Money, apartment) so all I really have to do is make money to buy houses and when I make Profit I can buy a new car etc. I think you get my Point! Business: The Business will be called RLP Real Estate (RLP Standing for RealLifePlayer) and will own multiple houses spread across the Island of Identity. The comapny will be owning a Office (If Offices are a thing) and will at the start have no employees. If the Company grows I will start employing. The rates of the rent are going to be 1% of the real estates worth every in-game week (for example if a house is worth 1 Million the rent per week is going to be 10K). If it turns out the Price is to high we will of Course work out a fair Price! Real Estate: As the devs of Identity have confirmed you will be able to add a co-owner to your home and that is going to be you guys (The People renting). So what I was thinking was that if someone rents a house the Person is not allowed to Change the interior colour of the walls and the flooring. The Person is only allowed to change the furniture of the house to their taste and desire. Question towards you guys: 1. Would you want to rent a house from me? 2. Is it possible to own more than one house at a time maybe 2/3? 3. Do you guys have any other suggestions? 4. Do you agree with the draft of the map? If you have come this far thank you for taking the time and reading through this thread!

I was imagining playing the game. And I thought of working black market. So I was thinking of the police breaking into my house to search for the weapons i'm selling. If I don't have a secret "area" such as a trap door in the floor. Because I'm pretty sure that the police would find an AK-47 if it was hanging on the wall in my living room. So I would like a trap door implemented into the game.

Will Real Life Money Be Required to Access Main Features ?
Prussian_V posted a question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
Hello, the reason I've come here to ask this is because me and a small party of friends have been traveling from many different mmo's trying to find a new game to really sink our teeth into but the biggest issue we've had is having to spend A LOT of money just to get access to half of the games features after paying for the game itself. Example: we've purchased a game for £25/$30 which allows us access to create our characters and play BUT if we want a house or maybe a car/mount we'd often end up having to pay ANOTHER £25/$30 just for that. We don't mind paying for the game itself after all developers have to earn money and we all don't mind putting money towards that and we are no strangers to hard work so things such as grinding are completely fine so long as theres no pay to with issues. Anyway what we want to know is... 1). The houses we can buy within the game could we earn the money within the game OR do we have to place real life money towards it ? 2). Things such as vehicles, clothing, decorations ect ect can we also purchase it through hard work in the game OR do we have to put real life money towards it ? 3). For us to climb up in rank (if there is a ranking system in the game) do we have to put real life money towards that as well ? NOTE: I know this will come off as ungrateful so I do apologize in advance, we've had some real nasty luck with up coming mmo's lately and the biggest issues are either having to put large amounts of money towards them just to get anywhere or "pay to win" issues. We are really interested in this game because it really appeals to our role playing BUT we just don't feel right purchasing a "passport" without knowing the following questions above so I hope you can understand where we are coming from here.- 2 replies

Once Unlocked how many houses will we be able to buy
TheWiseOne13 posted a question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
I was wondering once you are able to buy houses, or appartments can you buy more than one... ie have your original apartment and then live in a house, I get the feeling you can but wanted to make sure. Also does anyone know when buying housing (apartment or house) will unlock to buy with in game money? -
So after reading the FAQ a bit more in dept I saw this sentence in one of the questions: "Players cannot access another players home without an invitation." This makes me a bit concerned since that means no robbing of players houses will be possible. Robbing houses is one of the most fun and thrilling things to do in Gmod DarkRP, and if the developers think that robbing peoples houses will have a negative impact on the housing aspect, here are my suggestions: * Give players the ability to buy alarms for their houses (Locks come with the house). * Nerby cops and the player owning the house gets alerted immediately when a house alarm has gone off. * Robbers have to buy a crowbar/lockpick to be able to get inside of the house if the door is locked. * Crowbars/lockpicks will be very limited in stores. * Robbers are only able to slowly carry one object/furniture at a time making the robbing process take loads of time. * Players can buy cameras which can be accessed via your phone (this will probably take loads of time to implement and I don't think it's really that necessary). * To keep certain things safe in the house, players can buy safes. * Robbers are only able to rob a house if it's empty of players (Just to keep the houses safe places to chill and hang out with firends) With only a few of these suggestions implemented, robbing houses would become very hard, which is a good thing since you wouldn't want players houses to constantly get robbed. Also one thing to keep in mind is that the houses in DarkRP are often empty which means that you can easily find the valuable stuff fast, while in Identity, the houses will be filled with loads of furniture making the search harder for robbers. I really hope that the developers will consider these suggestions since I think it would add to the immersion of a game like Identity. EDIT: After some discussion I feel like I need to clearify a few things. Since the developers have said that the only way to enter a house is through an invitation, because the performance will be an issue, I will try to explain my ideas how this could be fixed. So since houses will feature an instanced loadingscreen, the robber could be transfered into the house with a loadingscreen, exactly the same as when a player gets invited. The only difference is that the robber didn't get an invitation. And for example if a player could only invite 10 people to a house, then only 5 robbers and 5 cops should be able to enter the house and there wouldn't be any noticeable differences in the performance. The only problem with this is that if the loading times are long, there could be situations where the cops and robbers could be in a loadingscreen at the same time, which would result in them passing by eachother without the cops or the robbers noticing eachother. The solution to this problem could be to have a display on the door indicating if a player is about the get in/out of the house, or have a blurred verson of the avatar remain standing outside the door while loading. Another thing with the houses is that they are places where you are able to just chill out with friends and such, without any action or robbers. How to fix this problem is to only make robbers able to rob the house if there are no players inside (which includes the owner and the players invited).

So I know that Apartments will have their own instances, but the houses will be things that people will actually have to own. If you own a house on the map, do you just drive/walk up to it and just open the door and bam your in your house? Or is this an instance of it's own, like if someone was outside your house could you look outside and see them? Would this open up opportunities for criminals to break in somehow?
