Hey guys! (Sorry, first posted this in the wrong channel)
MemphisMan replied to Tedtheman5's topic in Immigration
See you in the Square. What other games have you invested in? I'm playing Star Citizen (acquiring quite a fleet of ships) and Escape from Tarkov. -
Welcome South Dakotian! I had no problem purchasing back in December. I think they're undergoing some website changes to accept new payment options. Oh, I've done several upgrades lately and had no issue either. See you in-game. Drop by the apartment and have some coffee!

Welcome! Hope to see you soon! I've purchased the Upsized package so you'll see me cruising around on a used motorcycle.

Looking forward to meeting you. See you at the Cinema. I'll be the one throwing popcorn! :-)

Bonjour! and hello from the home of Elvis and Bar-b-que, Memphis, TN in the USA!

Welcome. I've gone for the "Upsized" package. Looking forward to meeting everyone and hunting a few rabbits, going to the movies and then letting all the air out of the tires of RVs being used for meth production. Meth is some bad stuff. Ruined the lives of 2 of my relatives that I know of.

I've been following fairly closely and, in summary, since May 3rd when there were 64 total tasks, they've removed one on May 4th (Character Art), then they removed another May 9th( in Environment tasks) and then, finally did add one May 16th to User Interface. This brings the total to 63 as of May 24th. So, they've had a net reduction since May 3rd of one task. Sorry, don't have anything before May 3rd. And the beat goes on. Hang tough. They'll get there.

Will you be able to shoot inside of buildings?
MemphisMan replied to SunDiego's question in Tourism (Q&A)
I'm guessing there will likely be some "safe" zones so you can always be assured of shopping, for instance, without being shot at. Now, once you've left the store you're probably fair game. Good question. -
Doesn't appear to be any changes today compared to May 18th. Right?

I see the "wait-until-its-perfect-because-of-first-impressions" position but I am also a firm believer in the customer is always right side. And the customers to date have thrown 1 million 200,000 plus dollars towards development. I don't think it's being whiney at all to say "Heah, let us play with it and tell you where it needs tweaking." Not to say Star Citizen has done everything right but they HAVE handed the product to the patrons with all it's imperfections from very, very early on in devlopment and thereby given the backers some ownership in the game and, buggy as it is, some satisfaction that 1.) the game is tangible and 2.) they are helping to make it better with their hands-on feedback. I would much, much, much more prefer to have it buggy and hands on and seeing improvements along the way than to just wait and wait and wait. But, that's me.

@Not_ErgalNo, we're still waiting on the first module (Town Square) to play.

Could be quite soon (2 weeks?) given that 5 of the 15 are in testing. I have a little experience testing defects with my current job and depending on how involved the problem was, testing can go very quickly or a matter of days. I'm testing totally different software changes but the issues being tested are usually very precise in nature so sometimes it may be one very specific thing (testing goes quickly) and sometimes it's one simple thing that needs to be tested in several different scenarios (taking slightly more time). I'm going with June 20th, my sons birthday. A better guess might be June 21st - 30th because I'll be on vacation and unable to play! Yeah, let's go with that.

Number of houses available vs number of players desiring a house
MemphisMan posted a topic in The Town Square
Are there a fixed number of houses in the game? If so, what happens when they're all bought up and new players to the game want to own a house? Can they build a new house or will the map be so large with so many homes that the 300-500 people per server could all have one if they wanted? Second question: How do I ensure I get on the same server each time so my house will be there with it's furnishings, my things, etc.? The servers are linked somehow I think is what I heard one of the devs say. -
I"m not positive which pledge I did since it's been awhile. 1.) how can I find out? 2.) how can I upgrade to an apartment?
-
So, where can I find out which package I signed up for? Been so long I've forgotten. Is it in my profile?

Heah all. Looking forward to meeting you guys in-game. So...is there somewhere in our account info that reminds us how much we donated and what "level", (Citizen, etc) we'll start with?
