I think a cover system may be but not blind firing.

The map should load faster as the server network will be based off the SpacialOS servers system. 1 Server is not made up of just 1 server, it is made up of many servers in a server. This won't make there be loading screens, it will be seamless but essentially it will load faster due to it being the many servers not just a single server like in GTA.

Q: Console Port? A: We will try our best to secure a console port in the future. It's dependent on how many hoops we need to jump through for proper licensing and publishing. Note that while Identity is being built from the ground up for PC, we will be offering Controller friendly options in regards to UI and gameplay. Console porting won't come for likely until a few years after full game release for PC.

town square beta How long will the public beta last?
LuckyDuck replied to Mastahakill's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
Hey, Beta is after all 3 modules. Module 1 will last all the way until the Beta and same with the 2 other modules when they release. They are 3 small separate standalone pieces of the game. The Beta will be after those 3 and will be the closest thing to the full game. Beta will last up until full release. Citizen will get you the full game at a heavy discount, and Founder will get you access to the modules and Beta + the full game.- 6 replies

Can the car battery go dead?
LuckyDuck replied to bukkityt's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
Cars can break down/ stop working, but you have to fuel the car every so often when low on fuel. -
Security Guards ?
LuckyDuck replied to Doge's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
It will be down to the player creating the business. You would have to get any weapons separated as it won't be a thing coming with the business and so it would be up to you to get guns / supplies if you wanted them. Most of it will be down to the player for that type of Business. -
A few questions
LuckyDuck replied to juliih's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
1. On Official servers, you can have up to 3 characters. 2. You can only enter different "Official" servers with the character you created on an Official server. If you create one on a private server then you have to recreate the character for other servers. 3. You will not have the same house on any server and if you started on a private server then you will lose everything when joining to a new server; meaning you will start from Zero. If you have a pledge apartment then you will have it for all servers, however if you decorate it in one, you have to start over again with the decorating in other servers. 300 - 500 players per server. The developers have not decided how many, as that will be down to stress testing and general testing to choose the best amount. -
Well I cannot vote as because. Module 2 will come faster than Module 3. They won't be the in development the same amount of time, because The 3rd module will be harder to develop as the devs will hit obstacles while coding/ creating the car physics etc from the ground upwards.

Where i can find the system requirements ?
LuckyDuck replied to Doge's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
There is no official system requirements at this time as because it is too early to get the most/ best accurate results as it is very early in development. The system requirements will be given closer to the full game release when the game is more optimised and the devs can get better and more accurate results! -
GTA 5, lets see, it was 7 years in development before it hit the stores. That is; The identity Team is roughly 20 Full time developers strong and more freelancers. Roughly 30 devs. Not to mention they had even less a year ago. Games are better delayed than rushed. Other developers give into their communities pressure, not for the benefit of the game but to satisfy the consumers. It is never better to rush games out. (IMO) We all need to wait for something, and not rush the developers because that is what happened with "NMS". The community pressured them and the team collapsed because they also had the publisher push them too. The pressure from the community is good but when it goes too strong devs release because of the stress, which is for consumer pleasure not the benefit of the game. All constructive criticism is good and like small pressure is also good but when the pressure is asking for a earlier release with more bugs, and problems than the later release, that is when the pressure has gone over the threshold of being good. We all want the same thing here; Identity in our hands. If we can get it early then it is good but if more time is needed then it is better to get it later as that is better. Comparing GTA is hard to do seeing as the team size difference, funding and development time. You state it should have been released 2 years later than it did, well then it would have been 9 years in development. The devs do show things on their twitch every Tuesday and Thursday @ 4pm till 5pm EST. Also remember, this game won't have a SP campaign, it won't have all that AI complex coding which GTA has with the roaming AI. PS: You have made some great points though.

Cars in town square?
LuckyDuck replied to Paul96's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
@Paul96 @LordBenjiYes the orange one above is the concept art for the sports car, however that concept art is old! You won't be able to see the pledge vehicle on launch of the 1st module and it will come eventually like @LordBenji said above. However it is not something going to be straight away added. You won't be able to drive it indeed, driving won't come until the 3rd and final module, the racing module. -
No hacking/ hackers in the game. It also won't be on the list of things to be added as it is a better sacrifice for other viable mechanics to be added.

No, you won't get such perks like in PERP on Gmod. With this sort of thing it could be something that could be added but I don't believe it will be anything still. Everything is always "Subject to change" and might stay the way they are. We will never know until we make that turn down the road.

Brand name cars?
LuckyDuck replied to Owl's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
You won't be able to name car brands, nor will you be able to create a complete custom car. You won't be able to create a complete new car "Box cars" if the game has not got the design then you cannot get it. -
The developers want newer players to be at the same level as a veteran would be when they join, having it give rewards or unlocking special items will be going against that. This game is going on realism and a level system giving bonuses and what not, goes against realism. That is for the other MMO's and this game will not change the MMORPG genre if it adds in the things which will make it the same like the rest.

Question about packages currently being "heavily discounted"
LuckyDuck replied to hubba's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
Most of the packages will be removed if not all of them. The price for the citizen package will be $45 roughly and so you are saving $30 for getting the pre-order of the full game (No modules or Beta included with lowest). The $30 pledge will also raise but no one knows how high it will rise to but if we assume it will rise by the same amount as the citizen package then it will be about $60. However for the $30 pledge it is unknown on what the price will rise to. All other pledges will likely will be gone and won't be available no longer. -
No Police Officer will have plain clothes. They all will be in Uniform.

Adjustable Laws/Penalties & Political Structure
LuckyDuck replied to stickNmove's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
Private servers can enforce people to write up reports but it won't be enforced in Official servers. -
Adjustable Laws/Penalties & Political Structure
LuckyDuck replied to stickNmove's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
All you have to do in court is, to have a good argument to why you are innocent. You are to convince the jury of your innocence if you want to get out early. Their is no parole, no plea either. -
Buyying Game Help?
LuckyDuck replied to cenkmert's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
Module 1 == 23rd April is the release date! Module 2, 3, Beta and full game release is TBD! There will be a few / more payment options when the new website launches and you will have a few days before prices increase. We however don't know exactly when the new website launches. We will make sure everyone knows before it happens when we know ourselves via Discord, the forum and other areas/ social media. -
Adjustable Laws/Penalties & Political Structure
LuckyDuck replied to stickNmove's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
@stickNmove On Private servers, the person who controls the server will be able to change the sentence of the prison time and make it more severe, There are many other things which will be changeable on private servers. However no one will be able to be a judge, the jury is randomly selected and you can go to court to plead/ try to get free. You can hire a lawyer/ a player who can argue your case to try and get you free from prison. -
There is not such a system for XP. The game won't really have XP levels or such with actions performed.
