Cool, but ETA?
LuckyDuck replied to Whyplan4it's question in Tourism (Q&A)
http://www.identityrpg.com/info/modules/townsquare/ @Whyplan4itThe link will show you the progress, no official ETA. When the progress on the tracker is all finished/ green, that is when Town Square is finished. -
He won't, but I will be sure to give you one all the time Don't speed!

Hey there, so. Firstly the devs are not always going to be in the office every weekend as their normal hours only include 9am till 5pm EST/EDT from Monday till Friday. This is the reason why the 2 days were not updated, however here you go, as community member made a spreadsheet to keep everyone updated on the progress made from the tracker.: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HE14PqMDiLEVKomb7ZC9sQYyQQ6M3vZcCTs7idZjDQY/edit#gid=0

Technically 4 delays, but The one for kickstarter was a fixed 2 years max deadline which Asylum could not make it to 3 years or whatever and so had to have it as 2 years. (I don't count this as something as a proper delay because it was not changeable and unavoidable for the devs). The website saying 2017, yes that is a estimate they chose and I I still count it as something but again it was still going on a kickstarter sort of deadline and was under estimated. This was more of a point where it was delayed however there was not a Official "Release Date" but a Open time schedule. The 2 proper delays I would say was the ones from no, march 21st and April 23rd. Technically all 4 of these are delays but not essentially a proper delay if you get what I mean by that. However yes I guess if you wanted they do count.

identity release Question when the game will come out ??????
LuckyDuck replied to Koster's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Meta (How do I get my Steam key? Do I log in on the Identity site?) https://clips.twitch.tv/DifficultFastRedpandaPastaThat You can most likely expect a "get steam key" button to appear on the Identity website the same day Module One goes live. You'll be asked to sign into your steam account to claim your key. An email will also likely be sent out to alert backers that they can do this. -
There won't be a vigilante feature, however, you can go and hunt down the criminals but a vigilante is a criminal thing and so you will be arrested if caught.

Okey, firstly yes that phrase is always used. I also know that Games take a very long time and also know that un-foreseen problems occur in Game Development. Games are delayed all the time and you probably know that Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed by a year and then Delayed again till later this year too. That game has been in development for more than 7 years now and still gets a delay. They also have 100x more devs than this team does and well they face delays yet when a small team does, it's completely different; yet of course it isn't in reality but people tend to take it differently because it is a small team who are not high in reliability for decent games in the market of today. They have not earned a position yet. This is my understanding to why people complain about small companies/ small teams. TBH, NPC's roaming make the world less immersive completely. Firstly you cannot interact with them and cannot have immersive RP with them being around, or if someone wants to drive around the map e.g. bus' as there job, the AI for example in GTA, they do not recognise that you are there and so if you take a wide turn like in your bus around a corner then they go and drive into you even though you were there already. It is annoying when the AI in GTA doesn't even have knowledge that they need to stop for other cars to turn. I myself want rid of the AI as it is not immersive and players will react differently to scripted AI.

They work in the Office which is open from 9am till 5pm EST/EDT. The building the Office is in, they do not own it. Also the devs have worked for more than what I stated but a typical set of Office working hours is 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. However it can vary over the week with hours but the devs who work in the office do not have access at home except Paratus and Motown.

Guns won't be until Module 2 and so it is not essential yet. 1. Would be cool yes indeed! 2. Police won't be able to tell if someone is a criminal or civilian and the criminal could be wearing the same outfits, however police are players and won't just shoot on sight. 3. I guess it will be cool for this. 4. There will only be 1 type of school and that is the University, there will be no character under a age of 18 (Basically only adult characters in the game) So no schools for little kids. 5. There will be animations for these but not sure how many for each. 6. Dispatch will be players a lot of the time and so it is a player that will be saying things to the officers. 7. There will be multiple police vehicles in the game. 8. No this won't happen, because AI won't be in such places. 9. A working clock will be in the game world and it will show the game worlds time of day. (4 hours = 1 game day, that is 3 hours day, 1 hour night time. Real hours). 10. That would be cool but un-necessary I believe. 11. Not sure if this will be something but I can tell you that this game won't have AI roaming the world like GTA has go them. All cars on the road will be player owned and driven! 12. No NPC's roaming in this game. They will all be players driving vehicles. Cops and everything player driven. 13. There is no NPC's on foot walking around either, this is a game far from GTA and will be player driven. 14. yes this is possible for shops and is for anyone to be able to do it. 15. There will be no hacking in the game. 16. I guess this would be a nice feature. This game is not a fake. Also please have a look and research more upon this game using the links provided in my signature.

Guys, the devs updated/ was working every day with no days off from last Monday till this Friday just gone and so they was working for more than 7 days with no days off including last weekend. They have families like we do and so they are entitled to have at least 1 weekend without working and spending time with the family. They will update the tracker today, but please don't expect them to work 24/7 when they have lives like we all do, as everyone is entitled to a break.

Server staff?
LuckyDuck replied to johannes67890's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Hey there, no. Official servers will be Casual RP and RP will not be enforced. You will be able to go and play private servers that can choose and enforce their server. Official servers, will only be enforced with things like hacking. -
economy Is Identity completely Player-Economy based?
LuckyDuck replied to BSagar87's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Yes and no. Yes the items are delivered by players, there are however some shops that are AI controlled which have unlimited supply. Most of the economy is player run. -
Yes, it will come before or with the modules release. @TOPGUNGUY123We haven't had 5 real delays over 3 years. Kickstarter only allows for 2 years of a deadline. 2 Years is not enough for the small team size Asylum has. Normally the game would be in development for a year before the devs kickstart their game, but Identity was on Kickstarter from concept. They only started development from the end of the kickstarter campaign. It wasn't there thought for that estimate. So we have had 2 Real delays and 3 general estimations being too short. I count 2 real delays which were the latest things announced. This is my Understanding of course, that I only count 2.

There is no kill on sight, cops are players and not AI programmed to shoot instead of arrest.

Everyone makes mistakes in life, no one is perfect. Game development has unforeseen delays including with Triple A companies..... RDR2. Well also the task bar not being updated has nothing to do with the devs dates given. Half the community wanted a date, which also pressured them to give 1, then that got delayed because they underestimated and then it happened to be underestimated again and so they are going with the other half of the communities answer and not to give any dates.

The weekend is likely the reason why it has not been updated today as the devs are not in the office and are likely home with their families with a day off.

What counts as evidence?
LuckyDuck replied to abababababa's question in Tourism (Q&A)
finger prints and more. Details can be found within the twitch directory linked in my signature. -
Game will be similar to Second Life/IMVU initially?
LuckyDuck replied to Million's topic in The Town Square
3 years. Also the 1st Module is all the base game mechanics and so will take the longest of all 3 modules. It is also a small team which is growing. However the first year (2015, they had 1 developer and gradually grew to about 20+ devs not all full time but some freelancers. -
The devs started on the stream Thursday that they are sorting out an issue with the company that will handle the payment process information and is out of there control on how/ when the issue is resolved, the devshave no influence on when it will be done by the company and so they are waiting for that to happen before the new website is launched; however the new website is ready to go.

@Lrodrg11 Yes, it may not be a branch off of the police department but the police will do everything stated. There are no Agencies separated from the police department in this game. DEA is even apart of the Police department branch. This is just how the department is done.

@HAWK The game is already accepted onto steam. The store page is just hidden from the public.

Extra rewards as a compensation for the constant delays.
LuckyDuck replied to Plumis's topic in The Town Square
Like @Gometzlersaid, the Speed Demon pledge is well worth the money while the $150 pledge is barely scraping it. The speed demon pledge still gets more but not as much more.- 51 replies

Question about Town Square.
LuckyDuck replied to RampageAU's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Here is a few reasons to why the 1st Module; Town Square has taken soo long to develop: 1. It is the very base game meaning that all other parts of the game is built upon the TS Module. If they get it wrong then it can be very hard once more has been stacked on top of it, for them to find and fix the issues which could be game breaking. 2. The Module had to be redone 2 - 3 times. 3. Nothing in game development goes as everyone wants things to go, unexpected delays happen especially with a small team of developers. Well if the game takes 5 years more that would just be better in the long run for us. Yes it is a long time but Each and every GTA game takes around 7 years of development, some games have taken 10 or so years before releasing. The 1st Module is and will be the longest in development. The second module will be fastest and the 3rd Module will be a bit longer than the 2nd but not as long as the 1st. The 3rd Module (Racing), will have unexpected complications and unforeseen bugs or errors. -
@HAWK I said the exact thing here. More towards the end
