They plan to have the game be possible to run on lower end PC's, around a 750ti -
Hey, I am here.... Totally haven't vanished... Not going to argue with the sceptical members. My Opinion is not needed within this because well I agree with some and not so much others, I have seen too many of these posts with poor feedback and also some good feedback, some utter rage things which are not needed and well nothing will change the opinions of all those people. Why do moderators need to comment? We are not paid staff and only are Volunteers, we are here to keep the peace and when ever we do, we get things thrown at us for it. I could give my opinion on your points you have made if you want.

SoarRP [Hardcore RP] [Serious] [WHITELISTED]
LuckyDuck replied to BlueJ's topic in Private Server Discussion
The comment you replied to was because of the statement in red.... (If there are to many of one citizen, we may have to split you up for RP purposes.) The way it will work is that you must do things as a cop to be paid, careers are not paid like every 10 min with "x amount of money". It is on what you do. Your actions = pay. Players cannot drive the s.w.a.t. van, they also cannot be s.w.a.t. without something like a bank robbery going on. You cannot be s.w.a.t. all the time and only when tasked for it. I didn't mean that and that isn't totally how it will work. The Governor chooses which laws he wants, (You can state default laws and server rules on what can be done" but the citizens only vote for a governor and so far as we know, there are no other positions that players can vote on..... Something I also forgot is that, "Developers" of what? you can't develop things, you won't be able to mod the game; as of yet modding is undecided and the decision to add modding won't come until Several(5) years after the full game release. So really the only thing the developers will be for is your forum really or other game servers not any Identity servers until the far future. You will have a Control Panel to customise the server but really it will be the same stuff as all the other private servers options. -
SoarRP [Hardcore RP] [Serious] [WHITELISTED]
LuckyDuck replied to BlueJ's topic in Private Server Discussion
Hey there @BlueJ Welcome to the community. This is very nicely detailed but I have a few friendly critics/ suggestions. Firstly I would like to ask a simple question. 1. What police rank will it be that you then can qualify to be a "Detective, S.W.A.T, DEA" position? Now Fire Department. 1. Fire Department and the EMS is separate things and not together..... It is not how most american states have it, it is like England; separated and so will be 2 different departments. 2. For the Fire Dept., EMS Dept, and Police. There will not be a "Salary" for Public Official servers or Private community servers. Now Politics... 1. I know you want it totally under control but the point of politics is to allow players to create their party themselves and not just have 1 singular party be in power as that is no fun / dictatorship especially putting stuff like it as "Staff Only".... You should not try dictate how political things are run. (Just my opinion really) as their will be a ballot where people can vote for candidates to become Governor. Now Citizens...... You have no power as admin to stop players really doing what they want. They have their choice and if they want to do that then if you want realistic RP then dictating them is going to make you lose players as "In Real Life" you choose who you want to be and not someone else. It is the players choice. You trying to force something on them because you want things equal will not make the server fun for the players. (Just my Opinion again) and Finally; Private Servers won't come until the full game release, which is Unknown yet. Good Luck and hope this helps you improve on somethings! Kind Regards, LuckyDuck -

What are the reccomended specs for running Identity?
LuckyDuck replied to ratdog's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Q: Recommended/Minimum System Requirements? A: There is still a lot to optimize and stress-test, so we don't yet have the data to support a proper conclusion. While a lot of the game's textures and models will be highly detailed, we still plan to offer lower graphical settings for those running older hardware. I will put it in basic terms; The game is not near the full release and so any specs will be for the modules and could/ in my opinion would change over time. However it is still early for them to give recommended specs for the entire game and so it will be for the Modules first likely. -
Thank you for pointing out that but I did also read that they took away tasks altogether earlier on as I also found: So they removed character art and eventually added in a UI (programming) task to replace it? so is it now understandable on the matter a bit more? GTA is not a life simulator or even near to it really. It is more about the PVP than it is interactions. It's not a Real RPG. Just one of those games which game devs call a RPG. (My Opinion) like I agree with @Cstove

Will you be able to shoot inside of buildings?
LuckyDuck replied to SunDiego's question in Tourism (Q&A)
No, Guns are going to be hard to get and you can store your money in your bank. -
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HE14PqMDiLEVKomb7ZC9sQYyQQ6M3vZcCTs7idZjDQY/edit#gid=0 This is a link to the spreadsheet version of all the tasks on the tracker. This is created by a community Member and is updated "Daily" by him only. If you can find the point where they added a new task then this would have been recorded here by the member doing it. I do not seem to see where this "So called task" was added at and so I still stand by it is never added with new tasks, it is only moved them to "In Progress", "In Testing", "Completed". Nothing has been added to "New" as far as I see.

Question 1
LuckyDuck replied to AlconSystain's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Well theoretically, you could create a reaction for the player to pull out his gun on you but there is no mechanic and is really down to the opposed player. This sort of thing cannot be predicted because every player is different.... "No human is the same" For the court, you have to be arrested and the only way you can be arrested is if you have committed a crime. You need to argue your way out or get a good lawyer to argue your case for you. Hope this helps a bit. -
There are no new tasks being added, they are the same tasks getting done.

Houses are not enterable without the permission of the person who owns it. Safe Zones are there to stop things, they also allow people thier personal space which cannot be invaded. We might not like them nor will they be realistic but it is a necessity more for gameplay reasons. Official servers will be more Casual Role Play than anything and there will be the people who want to play the game like it is GTA Online. -

Game play has to stay fun for everyone and having things like this is not so fun all the time. Yes it is unrealistic but thing have to have restrictions for balancing like it was said above by @YouKnowBroand also it is a game after all and so everything cannot be like real life. The housing acts as a social gathering point where players will be able to show off what they have done with their place. If you could rob a house, every troll or criminal would rob them every chance they get. However Housing is also still partially instanced. -

The University is more of you go to it and do a tutorial to get a qualification, however the rest of it is for RP and not you don't get degrees from it; as it is entirely Role Play if someone decides to teach something and not an actual paid job in the game. I get what you mean yes and no to it. On Official servers this is how it is and not everyone will like it but Safe Zones are so if people want to relax and just socialise then they can in these areas, free from harm. (Instead of it being in "Ghost" mode like GTA). Houses are safe zones in every server, however you cannot just enter someones house. You have to be invited in and you cannot rob it either. This is to ensure that players who want to decorate/ customise their home, know that after 5 minutes of doing it then it won't be just ruined by other players. Apartments are fully instanced and so are automatically safe zones. Hotels are safe zones because those people without a house / apartment will get a hotel room so that they have a place to go to. On Private servers houses still cannot be robbed/ are not enterable either way without the persons permission. Safe zones can be turned off for like pubs etc. but the hotels/ apartment/ houses are always safe zones. -

Hotels, The University and other buildings including houses are safe zones and so no you cannot shoot inside them, however normal shops won't be safe zones and there will be some Bar's that are safe zones. If you die, you will have a few minutes you have to wait to either die/ respawn or be revived if the paramedics make it in time. There will be hotels in different locations but they won't be 5 stars etc to how they run but wit location you might give it a rating for that. You won't need to pay anything when revived but if you had any cash or guns etc on you then you would have dropped them for anyone else to take as theirs. -
Will Town Square be released if Website is not ready?
LuckyDuck replied to ECorp's topic in The Town Square
Yes, however it is the payment part that needs to be integrated properly with the proper CC Company account as the one they worked with was a temporary test account. Now it is to get the real account sorted into it! -
For the pledge vehicles, they are insured automatically, however when your car gets destroyed, you will need to wait out a timer before receiving it back.
-
That is my opinion that I am hopeful for it to come next week.
-
3. It will last until the full game release. and Nothing for us yet, not sure but will ask tomorrow and hopefully Beach ball will have an answer he =can get from Paratus or Motown.
-
Official servers will be in most regions which likely will include Australia. Joining the Police or other career type won't be difficult to do. You will have to go do a little tutorial to get your qualification before you can become an officer or such.
-
No, if you redeem the pledge money before the full game it will just reset to before you redeemed it meaning you have it back for the full game.
-
Yes, indeed it would have probably been quicker in theory but because work was done with a test account with that CC company, it was faster waiting for a response instead of Liam having to do all that work again for a different company.
