Not accurate. Map loading is based on the hardware of the user. For example, PUBG on PC vs. PUBG on XBOX. One takes forever to load because of hardware limitations. You're not wrong about servers, but your internet connection is not the primary factor in load times.

The first model comes out on March 21 ????
xLambx replied to yakir77's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Originally the release date for the Town Square Module was the 21st. A recent Developer Blog pushed the release date for this Module to the 23rd of April (still subject to change). Only founders will have access. -
The devs also moved into a larger building so a good chunk of their time was spent settling into their new location and hiring staff. I suspect now that things are back on track we could see the first module by the end of this year. Thats just speculation though.

I move around a lot, which means the quality of my internet changes regularly. Does anyone have an idea what the minimum bandwidth should be? I know at this stage of development it'd be hard to find out, any feedback is welcome.

That's not what I said. OP and I are talking about the players voice, a small amount of pre-recorded messages bound to a hotkey or something along those lines. NOT converting all the players words into a different voice. I agree, converting player voice won't happen, but that's not what we're talking about.

Where at do the developers talk about this? I understand that devs want players to use mics, but where do they say they won't have character voices?

Town Square is at 89% completion as of now. Devs plan to have it ready mid to late April.

Your characters voice hasn't been touched on by devs yet. I assume they'll add many different options because of the wide customization the devs have planned. but, we won't know until Town Square is released (or the devs answer)

It's hard to predict how demanding Identity will be this early in development. Motown and Paratus address this issue in their Q&A. Its estimated right now that a mid tier gaming rig will be able to run Identity at its release. Lower tier may not be so fortunate. Since you have a GTX 1060, you'll be fine. (but im sure you already knew that).

I think its better that they stray away from perks for donating. Games that adopt that policy get a bad rap for being "pay to play". This way, new players won't feel pressured or left out because they don't have disposable income like others. I love flare, but sometimes its better to go without.

I like what you've written here. As far as I know (which isnt much) the vehicles will be more realistic in terms of not having machine guns mounted on them. No doubt there is customization planned. However, I find it unlikely the devs would get as detailed as spark plugs. Im hoping that a game such as Identity will pride itself for realism, and have officers enforce traffic laws. I guess we'll find out once Module 3 launches.

When you start getting into forums and currency, it'll be hard to find a free assisted website design. Most free website hosting limits you to "widgets" and text information. If you're serious about hosting a website, i suggest buying a domain name. They're pretty cheap to own.

You've got to realize that a "small team" creating such an ambitious game will take some time. Have you ever coded, modeled, or designed anything? Its an extremely time consuming job and requires patience from every party. Smaller games (below 1 GB), often times, sport a couple hundred thousand lines of code. On top of that, add the community. We keep asking the devs for more and more, and as they see fit, add more and more to their list. So it makes complete sense to me that this game is delayed.
