Yeah why not. As long as it's not rdm and you commit to the role and preform it in a serious and creative way, I dont see why not.

When does the Module release? You decide! (story)

Well my original prediction was way off -
Oh of course RDM can get you perma-banned.

Honestly as long as they're mature, we should be mature as well and respect them, even if their voice is different.

You will not lose money from your account when banks are robbed. New currency will be created and given to the bank robbers should they succeed. -
"God mode" won't really be a problem because there are limits to what you can do in Identity, he can't just type "dodges bullet and flees before being harmed" because if he gets shot, he gets shot. Though the other ones... OH MY GOD you hit the nail right on the head. People who try to make their role-play "funny" just end up sounding like a retard. I disagree with you on the streamers part. I think big streamers like Lirik are part of the reason people act this way in RP servers, putting on a "funny" voice and saying dumb things to try and sound ridiculous, though that's just my opinion.

Cashier vendors are going to be NPCs as no one wants to sit at a cash register all day (exhilarating gameplay) but the customers shopping there won't be.

$450 in 6 months? That is not very much money. I am not entirely sure what you are asking, but I believe you are saying that no one will start a business when they could just live off the interest payments my company gives? If this is the case, (again $450 is not very much money), my company can still administer housing and auto loans, ensuring we make a profit. I doubt this market will become saturated as people are always selling homes and buying cars. -
could someone assassinate the governor or will that be against the rules

Short answer is that banks cannot be robbed as confirmed by devs. Long answer is that my bank does not physically store money, only pays out digital interest payments and gives loans circulating money in the economy while also making a profit. -

I predict that the economy in Identity will move at a much faster pace than that in the real world. As such, when we give out loans, the payments on these will also be much higher and expected to be paid out much sooner (You will be expected to pay out a home loan in say 6 months, as apposed to 10 years. As people can just stop playing the game, I wish to insure that people are scheduled to pay back their money in a shorter amount of time. On the flip side of this, in order to attract people, the gains made on savings accounts must be much more "short term." As i can assure you people will not be playing this game in 30 or 40 years as well as the fact of inflation, the potential of long term profit loss is not an issue. (also a secret among bankers, you don't actually have to pay out to people's savings account until they withdraw.) I hope this makes sense. -
can you explain why we cant put 10,000 players in one server?
uncannierlink replied to OmegoGanla's topic in The Town Square
Also taking into account map size, real estate, the economies of the servers. I'm just want to make it clear though, the technology is being implemented to allow as many people in one server as they want. -

theroyalfamily Mr. Lucious Times For Governor ( The Royal Family Party )
uncannierlink replied to LuciousTimes's topic in The Podium
Alcohol will be legal, however, the governor will be allowed to decide the legality of marijuana. This is how it was in Asylum life, and I see no reason why the devs would change this.- 817 replies

See, this is something where people sell Identity short. You don't need an in-game algorithm to check whether clothing is too close to another. You can literally sue another player, summon him to court, and have a jury decide that.
-
That is actually a very interesting idea, however, if the differences are purely aesthetic (as the items are virtual) and the aesthetic difference is only a 1-pixel difference (or 1 hex value color shift) there isn't really a reason to buy the original. However, I think in that case you can take them to court.
-
It was announced basically with the Kickstarter. But If you played Asylum life they announced in that forum that they were working on a standalone game, and you could subscribe to their email service for more updates. Here's a screenshot of the original email:

Well, first things first, you don't patent clothing, you trademark it. Patents are for inventions. Trademarks are for artistic designs, names, logos etc. Second, you could RP it out, take them to court (with lawyers) and depend on the jury's ruling have a cop issue them a ticket (fine) or jail time.

Identity is in desperate need of advertising firms. I am ecstatic someone finally saw the void in the market and is taking this opportunity to make a profit. I would also talk to some of the radio stations and see if you can strike a partnership with them.

uncannierlink replied to OmegoGanla's topic in The Town Square
I would like to make 2 points here. 1. The reason Identity could not put 10,000 players on one server, but blizzard can is because of money. That type of computational infrastructure is incredibly expensive as you need a very power computer (or server synonyms in this case) to process all of the inputs of every player connected, relay those inputs to all nearby players, process a response for the AI, etc. Blizzard can afford such a machine, Asylum cannot. 2. Identity actually can support 10,000 players on a server. This is due to the partnership with Improbable and the spatial OS technology. Spacial OS essentially divides up all that computing into smaller tasks that many computers can then work on, allowing the use of much more, much cheaper machines, to do the computational processing. If you want to learn more about how spatial OS works, go to their website, Improbable.io. They have a really nice graphic that explains it in layman's terms. -
I believe they said they wanted to implement detectives who could find evidence. But I imagine the CSI will be very simple.

Hello, For those of you that do not know, my name is Carpe Pecuniam. I am the owner of Dollabank LLC and former economic adviser of Gene Smth. In the wake of Mr. Smith dropping from the race, I have decided that the only way to save the economy from becoming a stagnant, underground mess is to run myself. My position is very similar to his except I have a few ideas of my own. The first is to form a congress. This will be a committee of approximately 10-20 elected members from yet to be districts that will be drawn once the game is released and we have a better understanding of where people live. They will have the responsibility of creating bills that are signed into law by the governor. They, however, can override a veto with a 3/4ths majority. What I hope to achieve with this is to: A. Create a separation of power, so it is not all concentrated in the governor and the police B. Allow more people to be involved in government than just those running for governor. The second Idea involves my business. If I am not elected, my business will continue as a privately owned company with me as the sole holder of equity. However, if I am elected my business would be run by an appointed (by congress) committee of 12 members. They will be responsible for running the bank as a non-profit, managing interest rates in order to keep businesses and the economy growing. It would be a "national" bank. The third is that I hope to outline the responsibilities of the governor. I believe the governor should have a 6-month term, with a 3 term limit. I also believe he should be the head of police and the chief of police should have to enforce the laws he enacts. Finally, the governor should NOT be allowed to issue pardons, except if a majority in congress agrees with it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask below, and I will provide you with an answer to the best of my ability.
