If you look at the pitch of "Everywhere" it's very clear he wants to make an AR game a la Pokemon go. This is a completely differemt genre from Identity. Not to mention he hasn't even srarted the game yet, while Identity has been in developmemt for 2 years now.

money Money making difficulty estimate
uncannierlink replied to Prevantis's topic in The Town Square
The value of money will be determined by the player driven free market as will the value of everything else. As far as how easy it is to earn money, this depends on the job market, inflation rates, how willing banks are to create debt etc. -
30% is a lot. It all depends on what people are willing to agree to, but I would drop that if I were you.

Ah yes, I do remember that.

Source? I never heard the devs say there would be an automated system punishing corruption.

Ridiculous, but plausible.

The police system won't be like altis life right?
uncannierlink replied to Sjondefries's topic in The Precinct
Corruption is not an abuse of power in the sense I was saying. I was talking about kiddie cops acting like assholes and harassing people. -
I can't find anything this company has done before. Their FAQ doesn't exist. It looks like they just ripped some screenshots from RDR

If the streets are dangerous to travel on, the price of housing will go down as per the free market.

It doesn't take away from roleplay. It just makes it so you can prove an agreement actually happened to exact terms. Instead of just going by "he said, she said" in a courtroom, you actually have some hard evidence that exactly defines the terms of an agreement.

spatialos THE GAME WILL OFFER A LOT FROM WHAT I HAVE Watched
uncannierlink replied to Asupra's topic in The Town Square
You're gonna need a much bigger game dev team to use this tech to the fullest extent you said. however the fact it is there does give some potential. -
I see a lot of people bumping their post so it shows up first on the list. Is this allowed? It seems a bit like unnecessary spam. Edit: ironically this got double posted due to an internet connectivity Issue. @HairyGrenade could you delete the older post of this?

Revolution and political power
uncannierlink replied to Mori_Tomokata's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
You assume people are very willing to overthrow the one who pays them. This also doesn't make room for any compromise, as it doesn't address a scenario where there is disagreement on whether the accepted bill is consistent with the constitution. Also you have yet to answer, Who determines what is constitutional? Who has the final say? In the US, that is the supreme court? In your system, you seem to think this is something everyone will just magically agree upon. Rephrased as a hypothetical: What if group A believes the law is unconstitutional, but group B believes the law is constitutional. Do they just have a civil war every time this happens to decide who's right? -
Revolution and political power
uncannierlink replied to Mori_Tomokata's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
Laws that aren't enforced hold no power. You can create as many laws as you want, but whoever controls the ones who enforce the laws holds the power. Legislature creates laws, executive enforces laws, and judicial makes rulings on the laws. In your system, the majority makes the laws, chooses the enforcer, and makes no mention of the judicial system. -

the peoples revolutionary party The People's Revolutionary Party (P.R.P.) [HIRING!]
uncannierlink replied to DLimit's topic in The Podium
So "The Party" controls the head of state? What are the requirements for being a member of the party? Also, just because he isn't supposed to veto proposals that are constitutional, doesn't mean he can't. Unless that gets him thrown out of office, but then any vetoed proposal the party doesn't like will get him thrown out of office. ALSO, you keep saying "constitutional" as if your constitution is perfectly objective. It's not. It can't be. Language is inherently subjective as the meaning of words changes not only over time but from person to person. My question to you is; who determines what is constitutional and what is not and how are they put into that position of power? P.S. you don't have to reinvent the wheel here, America's had the longest standing democracy on the planet. There's been a peaceful transition of power for 250 years for a reason.- 147 replies
