I plan to do what IRL banks will do. I don't a problem with storing other people's money using the in game banks and paying them interest. People used to give money to banks not because they wanted a safe place to store it, but because they wanted to collect interest on their deposits. My character/characters won't be walking around with shiploads of cash on them. Most likely I will store this in the in game banks. But i still will use the deposits of people to administer loans as banks IRL do.

That's what I plan to be doing. I don't think the automated banks will do that though.

Based on our assessment of your borrowing capacity and the income you earn, we regret to inform you that we will have to turn down this loan. If you wish to renegotiate the terms you are free to do so. But as it stands we cannot loan you 1 million dollars. The reason for this is as it stands this investment would have a very high chance of defaulting. Upwards of 90% in fact. Another reason is that this loan does not fit into any of the deals we offer. In the future please consider the deals we offer as this greatly increases the chance we won't decline you We would be happy to loan you a smaller sum of money with a specific purpose, such as a home loan. Thank you for your time.

I will Eventually be going public with my company. IDK about a market unless a large amount of companies also go public, but I'll hold investor meetings and pay out dividends.

Paratus has also said " While you can't own one of the banks in the world itself (which may be prone to being robbed), there's nothing stopping people from forming a corporation and advertising loans. In fact I imagine you could get incredibly wealthy doing just that if you had enough capital to invest and get started. Given that people are unpredictable, I'd say the hardest part would not be degenerating into a loan-shark and threatening people. " Banks in real life provide other services aside from atm's and "safe" money storage. I don't imagine the banks in the game will provide such services such as interest on accounts and administering loans. The bank I plan to be running will be mostly for long term investments and savings and not as a repository for non-cash.

What kind of specs will it take to run a 100 Identity server? What are the rules when it comes to server ownership, IE collecting donations? Will a private server be able to use the official server character database if so chosen? Will we have to rent servers from the developers or can we use 3rd party hosting companies to run private servers? Post any questions or answers you guys have down below.

Questions Regarding Private Servers

I'm fairly certain there are private DayZ servers that are connected to the official character server. It really depends on how configurable the devs make the servers. If there isn't an option to change game breaking mechanics, for example gather rates, then i see no problem with this, however if there is an option to change things like this than I can see your point. -
Thread is getting a little out of control. If you want to work for/with me please send a PM with credentials/skills so it's easier to keep track of the people who want a job. Thank You.

I plan to have several branches across multiple servers. As far as enforcement we'll mostly be offering collateralized loans and once we have a trustworthy enough client base will we offer uncollateralized loans. If the collateral isn't sufficient to recover the loss of profits repossession may be necessary and handling this will be a separate position in the company.

Actually most likely the game will not be rates. Online interactions are not rated by ESRB and this game is entirely online. Also ESRB is voluntary and I think that having them rate this game would only hurt sales. As far as what I think it's most likely rated M. GTA has complete nudity in some cases and they still get away with an M rating so why wouldn't this?

The fact that you Specifically Want or at least hope a community server will be more popular than official servers is very encouraging to hear. The biggest problem with community servers vs. official servers is population and priority. The official servers are always at the top of the list. Do you have any plans to encourage players to try other servers aside from official ones?

Possibly. But It's also a reasonable assumption that they will react in a similar manner to the way they have reacted to roleplay previously. Now the instance I'm talking about IS anecdotal evidence and it could be the only time in the history of the forum that it has happened, but the hours I have put into the altis life servers are not. In my experience, people were very removed from the characters and the players just didn't want to RP because there was no benefit and a large risk of making a fool of yourself if the other guy is like "WTF are you doing."

My God!? I would never dream of putting the lives of my clients in jeopardy. I am sure that the Identity police force will gladly assist me in the collection of dept that are due through methods such as repossession and jail time due to the violation of a legal contract. If however the police are uncooperative....

You can check the Job bank for players owned businesses. One player is running a transportation company and there are 2 "Mega Corporations" which are pretty much guilds from what I can tell. Aside from that in Asylum there were resource collection jobs where you went to a designated area and grabbed as much as you could carry of whatever resource you were gathering (Apples, Oil, Diamonds, Fishing, Salt, Marijuana to name a few). I believe they also want to implement a system to be able to sell artwork in game, as well as the ability to own retail stores and factories. They also said that hunting would be a career path. Finally my obligatory plug: I'm planning on running a player bank, check out the job bank for my offer and send in an application if your interested.
