  1. Gene Smith for Governor

Your tax plan will leave no funding for public servants and completely devalue currency from inflation! Free healthcare means that NO ONE will work as EMS. Sorry, but you will not be getting my vote. I like my economies functioning.
  2. The real reason behind my gang/business PLEASE READ!""""

TLDR? I doubt his idea is that complicated. Can you condense what he said?
  3. A. You should post this in the job bank. B. Where are you getting the money to pay everyone/supply everyone with the licenses/guns?
  4. Truth vs. roleplay -> what to believe

A business doesnt need to be hard coded intro the game in order for people to run it. The only thing needed is for people to be creative enough in manipulating the systems that already exist.
  5. Reflections

Probably. I think It's a blueprint in ue4 so it wouldnt be that difficult for the devs to implement.
  6. Real roleplayers

Honestly just kicking people, banning them for a limited time, and then perma-banning if they really mess up is fine. The best way to punish people is to not let them play the game.
  7. Currency Idea

This is an overly complicated system and serves the same purpose (with no added benefit) of a system that works perfectly fine. This system is called the free market. You only need 2 things to set it up. 1. A method for currency to be generated (maybe from selling crap to NPCs) 2. A method for currency to be destroyed (this could be a bunch of different methods, including death tax, AI vendors, hospital bills, housing taxes etc.) Players can earn money by working for other players (who have starting capital) or by doing one of the methods that currency is generated. This system is much simpler and infinitely scale-able.
  8. looking for a job

Check the Job Bank. Lots of trucking companies have posted ads there.
  9. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

One of the real immersion breakers for me in Asylum Life was that drugs were a victim-less crime. You sold them to the NPC dealer and made money. The cops were the bad guys, because they stopped you from making money. I think in Identity, when you do drugs you should get a buff and a really good one that makes it worth it to use. That way, players would buy them from each-other, instead of the dealer interaction being boring. Some Ideas: Meth gives you more health Coke gives a sprint boost Heroin allows you to zoom further when you aim Weed and Alcohol decrease your stress level. I think these effects should be balanced so that, the demand of drugs become very high, but the police are able to limit the supply (because they stop most people from selling them). This will make them realistically expensive and the effects should be worth the price. Thoughts?
  10. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

That is a fair point. I agree. Maybe meth means you don't have an aim-punch when you get hit (or gives you an aim boost now that I think about it, as amphetamines generally increase your reaction time and make you stay awake longer). What you said makes a lot more sense though.
  11. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

Not when they cost a shitload of in game money. Maybe if they were free, but that's a hole other issue. If you want proof to my claim, look at Atlas Life. People barely use drugs in that game and literally no one buys them from other players. People just grind it to make money and sell it to an AI drug dealer. The players didn't want to waste money on drugs when it serves them no benefit and ONLY has downsides when they could use that money to buy a shiny new gun or car.
  12. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

Similar to Arma's zoom. Not that ridiculous if it's executed correctly.
  13. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

Do you want a Identity to be a game where no players use drugs?
  14. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

I think they'd be shooting theit own foot off if they make everything hyper realistic. After all, this is a game, fun should always come first to realism.
  15. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

Again, from an economic standpoint, they will have 0 value on the player market. Meaning that no one will use them. I think that if you want to have immersion and have a "drug war" the police can fight, you need a reason for people to use drugs in game. Drugs being worthless, to me, is more immersion breaking than someone taking cocaine and running at 20mph.
  16. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

The Problem is, if there are no in game befits, they'll be worthless, and no one will use them. Meaning the cops won't have a drug use problem to fight (no one is afflicted by negative effects, because no one uses drugs), and criminals won't have a player based economy to sell them on, Meaning that running drugs will be the boring grind it is in Atlas Life.
  17. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

    As in, an Extra Zoom.
  18. The "Benefits" of Doing Drugs.

Because if there were no benefits they would be literally worthless, and no one would buy them to use them.
  19. The Neighborhood - Recruiting!

Ah. This clarifies a lot. Essentially you want to create a massive equity sharing organization. I don't see a problem with this.
  20. The Neighborhood - Recruiting!

Ok. It's good to know you have everything worked out. It's just that imo page is very general and doesn't really give a lot specific details.
  21. The Neighborhood - Recruiting!

What does "Help each other out mean?" It's a very general term and doesn't specify any requirements for membership. Who or what system decides who gets "help" and who has to "help"? It's better to work out stuff like this before your conglomerate exists.
  22. IF they allowed home invasions

This sounds like extra programming and extra features. It would require the Devs add a "Burglar/Thief" career path to the game, and program a bunch of features in order to accommodate for it. While not a bad Idea, it's not strictly necessary for the release of the game and is extra work that won't necessarily make more people want to play it.
  23. The Neighborhood - Recruiting!

I have a few questions about the things you have stated So you say here you want to set up a government, but you didn't say what the structure of this government will be. You have these advisers, but how will they come together to make decisions? Basically what I'm asking is: Do you have a specific system in mind for how the management of your company will make and approve decisions? As someone who plans to run a bank, I have a huge problem with this. Business loans inherently need high interest rates to offset the risk involved with investing in businesses. Basically, the best case scenario is that you lose money due to a majority of businesses failing or the worst case, you will crash the economy because you give out free money without appropriately compensating for risk. Where are you going to get the money to run these services? Yes you have businesses as "members" but what does that actually mean? Do they pay you a % of their profits as a membership fee? Do you act as a parent company and oversee the profits of the company and it's distribution? I'm not really sure how you plan to run this, aside from, "we'll decide what we want to do later." This is a massive conflict of interests. While not illegal, anyone who votes John Rockafeller to be president is an Idiot. The entire point of a company is to make profit. That is it's sole mission. If someone with loyalty to a company then controls the government, it is their obligation to pass laws to make a company more profitable. Meaning they either betray their company, by being a good politician, or they betray the people by being a good businessman. It's putting too much power in one organization. Oh what do you know I was right.... Overall my main problem with this is that when your goal is to do everything, you'll end up doing only most things, REALLY bad. I shake my head when I read about companies saying they want to do everything to make money. You're forming an organization that's planning on literally doing everything there is to do in the game, which while possible, isn't something you can do right from the getgo. While possible, if you're not already the best, you'll just get out competed by other more specialized companies. Start small and dream big. The Roman empire wasn't made in a day.
  24. The Most Effective Law Protection. Simulation.

This post was clearly written by a learning machine AI, and thus, should be ignored.
  25. WHEN should you buy the game?

Currently buying the game has pretty much no personal benefit to you. The game was successfully funded, so in theory they shouldn't need more money to complete it. Just wait until it's actually playable first.
