Dye packs were a system used in america to make money robbed by bank robbers useless. Basically a pack of dye would be slipped into the bank robbers bag with the money, after a little bit it would explode and cover all the money in blue or purple dye. It's because they want to keep the "Sub Hubs" (social gathering places) public and safe. Though I don't know why we can't have both public and private ones. As a workaround you could have one in your house.

As much as I disagree with their decision, the devs have said players will not be able to have ownership of the social hubs in the game. This includes clubs and bars. However, you can rent a concert hall and sell tickets to a concert.

Yes you definitely will be able to, just not legally. The devs have 100% confirmed that military grade weapons will be in the game, and nothing is stopping you from selling them.

They don't really release updates on a set schedule. More so when they feel like they have done enough work that it's worth talking about.

Money cannot currently be exchanged for goods and services, therefore, at the moment it has no current value. This may change once the town square module it released.

I don't know if stocks will be in the game, though if companies want to go public, I see no reason why one building to be dedicated to a market hub for trading. It's possible, and I actually do eventually plan for my company to go public, but at the moment, I don't think any companies are publicly traded (as money doesn't exist yet)

As far as I'm aware there aren't going to be Items worth actual money in the game.

While this is a really cool idea, it is a lot of extra work for the devs to implement. They are a small team and are still trying to get all the core features implemented. Musical instruments are definitely "fluff" for the game and probably won't be implemented at all, but definitely not at launch, especially to the level of detail you have described them. However, the devs did say there would be concert halls and you could put on a live concert using Virtual Audio Cable. This being a sandbox game means that just because what you want to do isn't hard coded into the game, doesn't mean you can't do it, as long as everyone is willing to RP.

Your career is the quintessential element of your character. What you do for a living, is very, very important to your character. For example, A cop vs a drug dealer vs the ceo of a corporation vs a security guard etc.

For most people, their job is a very important aspect of their character. How you make money (what you spend most of your time doing) is maybe the most important aspect of your character.

Well buying food doesn't remove value from the economy as the Devs have confirmed there will be farming in the game. Basically estate tax serves as one of the only ways for currency to be removed from the system. If you want to keep taxes low, that's fine, just don't get rid of them entirely (though if estate taxes are too low, you will have a lot of inactive houses on the server, so adjust based on circumstances). Inflation occurs when there is too much money in circulation. In RL, money is only created by the government, in Identity, money is created by selling to NPCs. Keep in mind, what's important is not how much money people have in their pockets, what's important is how much their money's worth.

No problem. I love talking about economics. First point regarding inflation: Property taxes serve 2 purposes. 1st, is to make sure people do not abandon their homes and is an indicator of whether or not someone is still a resident of the house (in non-RP terms, if they still play the game) However, there 2nd purpose, is where i object to your plan. You see, taxes serve as a way for currency to be REMOVED from the economy, as currency will be continually generated, and never really destroyed, if it isn't removed form the economy, it will lead to inflation, as everyone will eventually have millions of dollars. But when everyone is a millionaire.... no one is. As far as our health care plan, basically there needs to be an incentive not to death if you know a medic can resurrect you, and that "punishment" for dying should be a "fee" you have to pay the medic for doing their job. People don't get chronic illness is the game. The only medical service that exists is EMS. These people work for the government. They get paid FROM TAXES. If you decrease tax, you also have to decrease someone's budget.
