Can we please have some honesty and transparency?

It's funny how people have to resort to name calling when other people offer an a different opinion. -
Patience is not simply the ability to wait, it's how we behave while we're waiting.
Alwynn replied to Veeblefetzer's topic in The Town Square
Nowadays, we have almost everything, at the push of a button. You want food? Click here. You wan't a car? Click here. With all this instant gratification readily available, it eliminates the need to develop patience. Of course, this is consequence for it. You have a whole lot of people who can't wait for anything because they're use to having everything now and if they don't have it now, they throw a temper tantrum. Just my take on the issue. I'll finish drinking my coffee now. -
A bit ago the same question was asked so, I used the search function and found Paratus gave an answer. Edit: Here's the link in case someone comes and says "source?"

Sounds like Black Desert Online forums. "We had an emergency maintenance..." the people on the forums "Compensation when?"

I'm in the same mindset as well. The tracker lacks clarity as to the complications that may be arising. It's also a bit too impersonal for my tastes.

I bought the biker package. I thought it would be a nice way to start out. Do a little bit of exploring before settling on a certain area or profession. Also, I wasn't sure how long it would take me to start receiving enough income to pay for all the "pretties" I actually wanted. (i.e. flashy apartment) I'm sure the starting cash on some of these packages would be enough to pay the rent for a bit but I didn't have the numbers to say how long. My only advice about which package to get would be *clear throat* "Don't pledge what you will miss" @AVANAH Love your quote.

You can't earn money in the first module. Nor will there be any jobs system in place yet. It's just the social module. You'll get to walk around the square, watch black and white movies, do some karaoke, talk to other players and customize your apartment. The starting money won't come into play until later.

I'd like a Dev blog as well. More information on what's been going on in the office and how far along they are is always a good thing.

It's not pointless, you can only speak for yourself. To presume to speak for everyone is just arrogant. Since you asked, however, here's my take. I bought the biker package. I bought full well knowing I may never see this game come into fruition.I take it as a write off.Simple as that.

I speak for myself, thank you.

I was thinking the same thing.

Town square isn't beta. Beta comes after all three modules are released. I'm not sure about the limitations of the game. As far as money goes, you make it by having a job or criminal activities.

I was just after clarification, I thought maybe I missed something somewhere.

I don't remember the devs saying it's two weeks away.

Maybe they hit a bit of a problem and it's taking a bit to resolve? In that sense, there wouldn't be anything to update since they're stuck? Just a though, I don't really know for sure.

When you log in and go to the shop, it will tell you which package you purchased. The next package will have an upgrade selection you can press to..ya know..upgrade it to that package. Example: You buy citizen for 15 the Founders package should say $15 with an upgrade now on the bottom right. Then you just click the upgrade now and go through the payment selection.

That sucks, sorry to hear it.

I would say Karaoke but I can't sing...At all. If it were allowed, I would probably be arrested for noise pollution ;). I'd like to spend a few hours/days seeing how I can set up my apartment. Maybe get beat in some chess. See if they're showing any Noire Films. Or the old 1940 mickey mouse cartoons.

I feel sorry for devs nowadays. Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Hit a snag and have to recalculate, "You lied!!!!!111oneoneone" At this point, if they release a broken or buggy module, even if it's before the release date, they'll never hear the end of it by some of these people. Morale of the story: If you're not sure about any game, don't back it.
