What I would do if I were Asylum right now
BridgetKV replied to Expressman's topic in The Town Square
This would be great. I feel that increased transparency would quell a lot of the anger in the community. They've tried it in the past but didn't really stick to it, so maybe they would benefit from hiring someone with more professional experience under their belt. -
That's disappointing. I only bought beta access for $29.99 when I did because they said that the price would only go up after the release of Town Square, but (after checking Steam as of this post) the price is $26.99 USD. It's not a massive price difference but three dollars could have gotten me lunch.

I'm so excited to play Town Square. I've been waiting since April of 2016 and now that there's finally a more definitive release date, I have finals to study for and three papers to write. I convinced my sister to buy the game back in July and she's been asking me when Identity's coming out and now that we'll be able to play her internet was knocked out in a storm and she won't have it back until mid-December. Anyone else in the same boat of inconvenience?

Anyone Else Unable to Play Identity on Release?
BridgetKV replied to BridgetKV's topic in The Town Square
@stethepea1Very true, and thank you! ^-^ -
As much as I'd like to support the devs this way, I think that we should wait to try to nominate it for anything until after it's been released. It may deserve it in the future, but we (the community) have not had a chance to play it at all. If you want to support the devs the best way is probably spreading the word about the game or just donating.

Suggestion on how custom clothing should work.
BridgetKV replied to Mikusiodaktyl's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
I've had this idea for designing custom clothes that I was hoping to implement in my own game someday, but I feel like it would work in Identity. Ideally, someone could choose from an assortment of individual pre-modeled pieces (like choosing a neckline for a bodice, then adding sleeves and potentially a skirt to make it a dress) and then apply a texture to the mesh. I apologize if this a bad explanation, but I feel like it'd be a good way to have custom clothing in a way that is somewhat doable for the developers. : ) -
This would be awesome, especially if someone role-playing as a professor could help others with real-life homework questions lol.

There's a disheartening amount of votes for "Never.."

For me, my favorites were Free Realms -- which introduced me to the genre -- and Mabinogi. What about you guys? What do you remember playing when you were younger?

Awesome! Glad to hear that we're going to see some more gameplay. I'm excited! C: -
This is a fun idea! It's neat seeing people's preferences in the community.

Will your real life stop with the release of the game?
BridgetKV replied to SunDiego's topic in Hangout
If TS comes out before summer semester ends my grades are going to tank lmao. -

Will Town Square be released if Website is not ready?
BridgetKV replied to ECorp's topic in The Town Square
Awesome! That's great news! -
"The simplest reason is that, in game development, making an accurate schedule is impossible. Even the most conservative estimates at the beginning of a project can’t account for obstacles that will come up along the way. Sometimes a level that a game creator thought might take two weeks actually takes closer to two months." Quoted from Jason Schreier for a Kotaku article titled "Why Video Games are Delayed So Often". I recommend giving the article a read, especially the second to last paragraph.

I want to name my character Olivia Burns. She's going to be a delivery truck driver who paints and designs in her off time.

This is a very cool post! Thank you for putting so much effort into showing us and summarizing this data.

I hope so too, but it doesn't look like it's in the cards at this point in time. Hopefully in the future, when they have a larger dev team. Twitch clips discussing this: (1) (2)

That's interesting. So we'll be placed into a server at random, assuming we don't join our friends through steam? Do you know if the servers will be regional (NA East, UK, ect.) or is it just completely random?
