From what I've heard so far, yes, because of the amount of resources required to run the server, and I do not believe it'd be necessarily cheap either, so unless you have a big fanbase/friends you want to play with, renting a server wouldn't be the best option financially. I do not believe this will be an option simply as I said above, due to the extensive resources required. I am not sure about what I've said above, it is just to my knowledge and what I've heard/read on the Discord/Forums/YouTube videos covered by people like TheDynasty

Not quick at all, but I'd rather they take their time than release a broken game IMO. It's updated when the devs feel they've reached a milestone. It's updated as much as the devs feel they've made in progress. Also, I said in Discord, in my opinion it probably won't be updated (to 99%) or anything like that, it'll more than likely just not be updated and go straight to 100% upon release. No point in moving it < 11%.

The problem is people are making plans for the Town Square Module. You aren't going to be able to do much because it is as it's described a "Social Module," which means we'll be able to walk around and enjoy the scenery. I haven't been paying very much attention but I'm pretty sure somewhere they said the things you'd be able to do. (Maybe on Discord or something.)

I mean, he's right. One thread is enough. As little posts get created in General someone will 100% see his thread especially if they do what I do and sort by start date. Until the game actually releases the forum isn't going to serve much purpose other than use of finding other people to play with, or give ideas/feedback.

Sorry for the long post to such a simple answer, it's just hard to understand the answer without knowing all about it. Either they're unsure and they don't want to make any false promises. I know the 1 time I saw the Identity stream (They usually stream at a bad time for me) they were unsure if Motown was okay with them actually showing screenshots, and someone brought up something about showing gameplay and Motown was upset. As for your question, I doubt it'll take as long as 2018. Everyone's thinking weeks, I honestly think a couple months and they'll be done. They've been "polishing" things for a while now. And several times they've admitted to completely restarting.

I suggest you don't refund. They're finally talking.

Most of the games that don't are indie games crapped out in a few months.

Spending hours on hours making a game can be really exhausting, boring, and really repetitive. To be honest, I used to code a lot and I don't see a problem with them playing other games.

Assuming he has a normal tablet like every other, it should work. Tablets just move your cursor so if he wants to use it to draw ingame it'll be the same as him using his mouse.
