Hello Mr. Cruz, I want to wish you the best of luck in running for Governor and I really like that you reached out to the police force for opinions and ideas. So regarding the tax rate I think that is something that may change quarter to quarter depending on the needs of the police. When crime is down the funds being sent to the police should be lower, opposite when crime is on the rise. The chief of police should request the funds from the governor and then the conversation starts regarding whats being asked for. As for the gun control I agree with Sporan but to add strong restrictions/checks on gun shop owners because who knows guns could be sold back door at a huge profit to avoid checks. Just some Questions for yourself: In case of a huge increase of crime would private security companies be considered? If Elected would you request a police escort? How would you determine who becomes the police chief/would their be a vote? What are you're views on low level drug crimes? Thank you for you're time Mr. Cruz

Me personally I think the rank of detective for major crimes IE: Murder, Large robbery, and drug rings. The role of detective would be very boring when these things are not going on due to great police work done by all involved (We all have quite times right lol). So in theory a detective would accept or deny a case depending on the case report from the patrol officer. If the detective thinks the case is valuable enough to dig in further he/she can do so if not they decline and case closed. At another aspect I would like to see detectives also act as prosecutor, keep their job busy right? These are just ideas my military police experience is vastly different from civilian law enforcement so just some thoughts and ideas.
