Exactly man.

Late to the show! Yes sir welcome welcome!

I agree with ELRIC up here. I understand that the game is set in modern America but I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate the nostalgic items for collections/use. Would be even cooler if these older items/objects were extremely hard to get a hold of. Like a 69 charger, yes. Or a Mosin-Nagant for the wall. An old Minolta 35mm camera for the photographers, a long with a full functioning dark rooms and photograph processing. I know for a fact if I was in someones apartment and distinctly noticed an older item that I'm aware does not exist in the current narrative, I'd immediately start trying to negotiate a price while I'm gawking.

See bud, you understand the importance of private military. Good man.

Yeah what James said. I wouldn't want the eating and drinking system to be a hardcore as DayZ or a survival game along those lines. Instead I'd rather it be structured around the food and water being "aid" to your character. Food gives energy, water gives hydration. Supporting stamina, skill progression etc. I'd also like the drugs and alcohol to be an "aid" as well. NARC on play station 2 had an excellent system. Pot mellowed you out, turning the environment in to a kaleidoscope of of colors and textures. Speed such as cocaine and well, speed increased stamina and your running speed. I'm not saying drugs should be implemented as a "power up" but certainly having some sort of character effect and not totally useless. Duration is key too, drug use in GTA is to short and a joke.

I can get into it lmao. Strictly RP. *Que Goodbye horses followed by Buffalo Bill* I'd post the vid but mods would have it out for me >_>

That's fucked because I was legit thinking of a food delivery service where we pick the food up at the store and deliver it to you....so if my guys go missing while delivering to a log cabin out in the woods....You're the first cat I'm calling

At this point in time, and I agree it's a bit early, how are the Dev's feeling toward the mod community? I wanted to get the conversation started now and let it grow over time. The thing here about mods, is that it gives individual players the option to "customize" or tweak their game playing experience. I'll use the most obvious go to for an example: nudity or gore. Where some people find it inappropriate for their game experience others may not. Now with this route of Dev approved or Dev developed mods comes the argument, "to each his own." This way one party can't say its unjustifiable that this game has nudity or gore or roller skates or w.e the topic might be. Creating a core foundation, then adding mods for the finer player tuned details is the way to go. Especially given the nature of this game, freedom.

Right so with easels and painting can we own multiple or as many as we want "depending on floor space" (cant seem to find exact quote but I thought someone had mentioned when placing items or furniture in your home you can place as many as you want as long as there is floor space. Correct me if you know what I'm talking about please.) or is the easel a "workbench" item allowing us only one. If it is a work bench item I can only assume there will be multiple kinds of work benches allowing us to craft in small portions items such as: pottery, glass blowing, (for lack of a better example, glass blowing is no small task) etc. This would imply "work benching": "Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!" Still in regards to painting I can only assume drawing will make an appearance as well. Seeing as we are able to write books and donate them to the library for all to read I assume we can also write notes or letters to each other and send them via a mailing system? If a mail system exists at some point will bill collection system be put in place as well. ( I assume a tax system is in the works for later which would imply a bill system as well.) As far as the high level of fidelity for the weapons systems goes, are you wanting to incorporate the level of detail that the guys over at Battle State Games are putting into their game Escape From Tarkov? Will we be able to plop down on our down filled couches or locked backed rooms and break the guns down for cleaning or swapping out parts that are applicable to that weapon platform? Eventually will you be willing to take it to another level of machining and weapons manufacturing causing a whole next level of layer to PVP interaction. I understand the idea is to keep weapons few and far between to counteract random death but wouldn't that be solely up to the players who make up the law enforcement aspect of the world? Wouldn't that be their job to keep criminals from manufacturing weapons let alone getting a hold of them and distributing them/selling them in the first place?

Guns, easels, work benches...

I hadn't heard that no, I kinda assumed weapons had wear and tear. Just really hoping the Devs are eventually aiming for BSGs level of weapon detailing. -

THIS :3 "@MaximeMoigne you will need a gun license to own a legal firearm in Identity.Otherwise you may be arrested by player cops!" -
We'd have to negotiate "module" prices as everyone will be confined to a square radius and "down range" transportation wont be an option.
-
lol thats a bad ass idea...

Pahaha jesus man the social dynamic of this. Like I remember smiling heavily when in the housing vid he said that we can have room mates. I was like oh man that's cool, that's pleasing, itll be nice having people around. But like how do I explain to my GF, who I live with, that Im dating a 38 year old balding fat guy that lives in his mums basement and that were on our way to getting hitched because his online character looks exactly like Scarlet Johansson but she never speaks so Ill never know its a 38 year old balding fat guy who lives in his mums basement. LMAO

Gotcha, just wanted a speculative guess based off of what you've been studying. Thanks man.

I'm sure we'll be able to ZEUS. I'll probably steal yours while you're smoothly walking up the stoop of your marks apartment.

AAAYYEEE Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too James! I appreciate the shout out, and Devs, I'm sure we wont mind if you guys take a couple days off to enjoy time with your families So please, do. *****THIS IS PURELY SPECULATION GENTLEMAN DON'T QUOTE US***** Side note: So James you've been watching longer than I have. What do you estimate? At the latest February for the module to be released?

Hopefully warehouse space will be available to buy, If not you'll have to use a network of apartments for production. Transfer that production to a central location for inventory then distribute. A network of apartments I may be willing to help you develop.. *I should say the town square module will be the testing ground for network production through apartments. Warehouses may come later on but for major production as of right now, a network will need to be established.
