I prefer 3rd person too ^^ Feels weird just to be a pair of floating eyeballs and hands. And I really like looking at my character doing stuff when I play! I spend a long time in character creators.

There will probably be security guards in banks and personal bodyguards.

No, that's what like 80% of community is looking up for o: What would cops do?
-
Yeah, sure. It's your own fault if you make your crime public.

Yay Jake the Dog!

It's also because there are more important goals in development now than pets. It's unsure if pets will make it to launch or if they'll be added later atm.

Still no. Other people would have to know if you're in passive or not. Imagine a mugger coming up to you with a gun in an empty street and he's all like "Give me all your money or I'll kill you!" and you just... walk off because you're in passive? He shoots you and nothing happens, just wasted bullets? What about bank robberies? Criminals wouldn't be able to take "passived" people hostage because they'd be immortal. Or everyone could just go into Settings, change into passive and walk out like nothing happened. Death and injuries give the game realism and they make a lot of scenarios exciting, scary and enjoyable. What they're doing are "safe zones". Maybe in a private server's settings you could make the whole game non-lethal, but official servers won't be god-moded.

I'm sure they can! They're very passionate about Identity. They answer tens of questions on twitter, they're active on forums and they have sources and people to finish the game. ^u^ They want Identity to be a real thing just as much as we do, if not more At this point in development they're going to post an updated video really soon (hopefully) and they're making a playable social lobby module for us to try out the game. >u< Yay.

can't believe it's more than gta v with just up to 5 devs

It's on Steam Greenlight now, probably will be available on Steam around launch. They don't want any Early Access and will sell the finished product instead ^u^ -
Maybe on a private server if someone wants to play very casual.

Oh glob no. Have you ever even tried Second Life? I did. It's like online hell. And the characters look like monkeys by default. o-o In Second Life the only purpose is walking (and flying?) and, if you want- buying stuff. But you can't earn money for the stuff because there are no jobs apart from making your own stuff that people will buy. Second Life is a social game, but it's absolutely awful. Identity will be a Role Playing Life Simulation based on Cops & Robbers. It's more like GTA and Sims in my opinion.
