Greetings, all. I am looking to move to Ash Hill from out of state soon. I just wanted to drop a line & introduce myself, as per what I've seen so far, Ash Hill seems like it will be a wonderful place to live once the town is established. My name is Mayglin Calaelin, & I hail from the city of Centolde. I am 36 years old, married, with 3 kids. I am hoping to enter a service field upon my arrival to Ash Hill. Perhaps a policeman, fireman, or something of that sort. I was a realtor until a couple months ago, when I began teaching at a local school. After realizing how out of touch we were with the kids & parents in our area, we decided to find a new place to call home. I look forward to meeting you all soon!

Prison time affecting career/job?
Mayglin replied to Raja's question in Tourism (Q&A)
I know that if I'm hiring someone, I'd want to have access to this kinda stuff. -
You could always start a news station or a newspaper & the "reporters" could be on scene & they could screenshot things & post them along with their stories on the forums or a website. OR, better yet, if there'd be a way to post those in game, perhaps on the internet. That'd be awesome. I think it'd be neat to see something go down, & then arrive on the scene & interview witnesses and officers. Then go get statements from the government officials.

Yes, agreed. With all of the other things going into this game, this wouldn't be that hard to add, I wouldn't think.

University as gerneral game education.

I actually like this idea. YouTube videos & using Google work, but there's nothing like in game experiences to help people learn their way around. -
I was wondering what types of delivery jobs there would be also. There's so many forums to go through, it's hard to keep straight what's legit & what isn't. LOL

I don't think that there should be age limits, but there should be consequences for their actions. There's a thread on here somewhere discussing all of this & many good points made.

Yeah, no help here. I constantly refresh the forums on my phone. When I'm near computers, there's a window open, refreshing......

Tow trucks?
Mayglin replied to Brudlee's question in Tourism (Q&A)
NICE. I thought about this the other day while playing Arma, while stranded in the middle of nowhere. -
I'm assuming you're talking a smaller server with, say, 50 or less players admitted into it?
-
I'd file it under disturbing the peace. Should be a law that a government creates, no doubt.
-
I'd be up for this.

Welcome @Indoorseeker I am new as well.

Very well said. I'm with @Jinx

We, the people of Identity, and the governing bodies in game, will decide what is legal & what is illegal.
-
Then they need not sign up for this game. If they market it correctly, & let it be known from the get go how things will be run, AND the devs have a strong backbone, I believe it'll work.
-
I like @157C approach, & I agree that 45 minutes is way too short. Also, as I've said on another post, if you've got people just running around guns a blazing causing havoc, politicians & police need to step in & do something about it. Those people need day or week long bans, "in prison", with no option of break outs. Just my opinion. You CAN NOT allow these types of crimes to happen in the type of game that you're hoping to accomplish. I'll throw my name in the hat for whatever political seat is needed to be sure that these laws are fierce for those that disrupt our lifestyle.
-
If we are building our own identities, couldn't the police force create these departments? Seems easy enough to me. These departments could be crucial to the game, especially when considering the younger generation & their RDMing.
-
Hmmmmm, I'm thinking of being an event planner after reading this post.
-
And if they do, they must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
-
Love this idea & all options/ideas in the replies.
-
If we are going to have governments, police, SWAT, etc, then when these acts occur, the president/governor must declare war on terrorism & they must act swiftly to take them down. Anyone RDMing would face the stiffest penalties available in game. I would recommend at least a week (real time) in jail. Also, if firearms are going to be hard to come by, they should be registered, & detectives should be able to investigate to find clues, & if a gun was left behind, or fingerprints or whatever, they should be able to do their job & find those responsible & bring them to justice.
-
It would appear that I have my first suspect for whatever crimes go down in Ash Hill. Perhaps this info will help me in training at the police academy......
