I know I haven't signed into the forum in a long time, but it would be nice if there were at least one update per month. This would let us know that the developers are still alive and that there is some progress being made. Personally, I forgot the name of this project and haven't thought of it since their last video update on YouTube. Are there any plans on updating the community on what's going on, anytime soon?

Why do people do that kind of crap to their cars? Those obnoxious sounds, and obnoxiously low cars that get stuck on speed bumps. I've only recently gotten into cars, and prior to my recent interest, I was unaware of the obnoxious RICE "subculture" (as a friend put it). I forgot, what do you folks call a vehicle that has the body of, say, an economy car, but the engine of a sports car?

Hello, world. My name really is Jared. Before I get started, I would like to disappoint everyone with the following information: I am not a Subway pedophile, who is related to Peter Parker, and owns a jewelry store. I come from a military family, so I have called many places home. There is one city that I have moved back to five times now, and it's in Florida. In that sense, I consider myself to be from Florida, though I was not born here. To further disappoint you, I do not ride my pet alligator to Publix on my way to Disney World. Currently, I am seeking part-time employment, while studying full time at a university with cybersecurity as my major. At school, I am a member of a youth activist organization known as Turning Point USA, and I plan on joining AFROTC. Outside of school, I am a fledgling and not yet a full member of the Society for Creative Anachronism. As for my interests, I love to think. Philosophy, strategy, life plans, you name it. I love being academically engaged. That said, of course I love the rigorous sport of chess! Man, I get myself shaking from the adrenaline from a good chess game! Some hobbies of mine include reading, computer gaming, and airsoft. Some other interests include history (especially medieval), philosophy (already mentioned), politics, crafting (currently, I am working on chainmail, a European 4-in-1 aventail and an Asian 4-in-1 Korean Swajegap), and learning in general. I've been on the forum for a little bit now, having taken a break from studying for my last final, and so far, I am liking this community. I look forward to getting to know this community. You're getting kicked off automatically, it has to do with some bugged files in your game (if I recall correctly). Try verifying your game's cache integrity on Steam. For those wondering, the team here (Asylum Entertainment Inc.) operates the Asylum Altis Life servers on ARMA 3.

It's a pain in the butt for most people to assemble furniture, let alone build their own furniture (I being one of those, as well as a majority of humans on this planet). I'm certain there will be basic furniture to help get us started. By the way, overall, I like what you wrote.

I think it would be hilarious if we could turn the lights on, run appliances, open all of the doors, open the toilet seat lids, leave the door open, et cetera. That's just the prankster in me, not saying that I support the ability to break and enter.

We could attack their employees or employers (i.e. if the politician was a gangster grunt before entering office), and the politicians themselves. By attacking their businesses, we interrupt some of their income.

I doubt anyone is going to make very little in this game, just as in the real-world. A minority of people make minimum age in the real-world, and most are teens and young adults, and largely part-time workers. If one is making a living while earning minimum wage, then that one has some serious life issues, or is on welfare, or both. Otherwise, for the most part, people aren't trying to "raise a family of four" (a common claim) on seven US dollars per hour. By the time one has a family, that one typically has started a career of some sort. I can go very deep into economics for the economically illiterate (I do not intend offense there) if need be. In a proper free market full of competition and void of welfare leeches reluctantly working, there is good salary. Now, in regards to this game, once more, I do not think anyone will earn a horribly low wage, and if one does, then one can seek out another employer. Identity's simulated economy will not be nearly as complex as the real-world's economy, so keep that in mind too. My point is, a minimum wage would be unnecessary and would only be implemented in law as a "feel good."

Black Desert Online is a fantasy MMORPG, one with monsters, magic, and mythical races. It makes sense that they have some funny content in there. So, I don't think we'll see any long-eared elf-looking people or people with non-flesh skin colors. Unless you mean something else?

Hello reader, Identity will have a 3D sound environment, for when one is wearing headphones, correct? Most games do. As someone with a deaf ear, I find the surround audio to be somewhat unrealistic as everything to my left is completely mute; meanwhile, in the real-world, I can still hear a bit if someone is on my left side talking due to the nature of sound waves. My idea is to have an option to set the audio to mono, sort of as if I was listening through my speakers (which, technically, still output audio as left and right). I have tried to set my computer to send audio as mono to my headphones, but the limitations of my audio devices/drivers prevent me from doing so. For those wondering why I even wear headphones, it's so that I can understand voice communication since without them, it's more difficult for me to understand what one is saying (i.e. mishearing words, or not hearing them properly at all). It would really make my day to play a game that supports those of us with a hearing disability (in this case, complete hearing loss in one ear). There are a very few games out there that support this and I have played a couple of games with mono audio settings in a 3D environment (I cannot recall any game titles at the moment, should examples be requested). Maybe it will depend on supply and demand, from players working for a weapons manufacturer. From what I experienced in Asylum's Altis Life, they have a system that attempts to mimic supply and demand. So, if guns are plentiful and demand is low, prices should drop. If guns are scarce and demand is high, prices should rise. Here's a supply and demand graph to assist any readers:

I like that this game will be rated for adults, though that won't stop minors from showing up. Best we can do is accept that there will be a few. Thankfully, they should be a minority since this game's target audience age ranges in the 20's. Of course, as Shadow pointed out, there will be immature adults too. There's immature people everywhere. People will be people. Overall, this community's member ages do generally match the game's target audience, or at least what I perceive to be the apparent target audience.

It's unfortunate that the budget is limited, and I can easily see why. The quality of the game looks great, notably the good graphics, from what we've seen so far. I hope this project gets more publicity, that would help a ton.

I am hyped and this got me thinking of a role-play name. Perhaps I will go with the surname of my Korean side, Pak, which happens to be the same as nearly 4,000,000 other real-world Koreans. As for first name, I do not know; but, my first name will most likely be English/Biblical, which is something very traditional. I'll try not to pick a common name such as John. As for my occupation, I do not know. I am going to be realistic and admit that I will not open a business anytime soon. I might open a fast food joint, should the game allow that. My career plan, for the most part, will be political.

Though, America is far more democratic than it was originally in the First Republic/Old Republic. No longer do you need to have even a single ounce of interest in this land to be able to vote, all that is required is age and ID. Even non-citizens can vote in certain areas in the US. Even then, we are still a republic; but, very loosely so, and within this century, we will barely have a republican (not party) government. We have a constitutionally limited representative democratic republic -- that is the technical term for the United States form of government, if you want to get nerdy on the subject.

Sorry for my delayed response. Would that mean the use of force could be agreed upon in the contract, i.e. allowing the involvement of private security and warranting the arrest of the one who did not pay as agreed upon in the terms of the contract?

It does say the island will take place in the eastern US and is inspired by the Carolinas and Georgia. They said the location was chosen because of the climate and terrain that could be inspired from those respective areas (eastern US, Carolinas, Georgia). From what it sounds like so far, this land will be completely autonomous and therefore we'll be governing ourselves. In other words, a micronation.
