@Trustvainer I am partnered with the neighborhood conglomerate, and I am the director or head of the department of mining section, therefore my company is the one that will be doing the surverying of the map not the conglomerate which is just a joint partnership of businesses. I hope that cleared things up for you. Sincerely, Baron Von Aurum

You sir are the one with lack of economic comprehension. I am a Social Studies, Economics, and Government Teacher, I have been studying this for years! What are your credentials because I can show you my degree. Yes, past presidents own businesses but they are not regulatory agencies, and they do not pass bills that will affect the industry in which they own the business in. If they do that is what you call "Corruption". Usually when in this place of power they set up what is called a Blind Trust for there company, but you don't know anything about that because otherwise you would of done it, just showing your lack of "ECONOMIC COMPREHENSION". Senators pass bills while in office as well but they do not pass bills that affect their own businesses they have personal interest in. Take a look at Donald trump he just relinquished power to all 400 of his business to resolve "conflict of interest". Because he has business all over the world. The U.S. Government fears his personal interest will get in the way of his foreign policy. This will be my last message because you are obviously so contradictory to your economic stances its ridiculous. Attempt to contact me in-game and you will be hearing from my legal team. Sincerely, Baron Von Aurum

So maybe you should tell your voters to have a little more respect? Assuming he is your voter...
-
Why would you post on someone else's thread?... Is that the kind of honor and integrity your voters can expect from you?
-
You are correct sir, he is beyond contradictory! No regulatory agency in the United States would ever own a business. That is a COMPLETE and utter "conflict of interest" Unless you plan on relinquishing Gold Coin Pawn I am not abiding, by the FMMB's regulations.
-
A business owner and a business regulator, makes for a great conflict of interest don't you think. Highly contradictory in my opinion and I believe the opinion of everyone else

1.) Every "GOVERNMENT" has had some form of economic regulation in place for there growing economy. Therefore, I would assume you are running for office, which would grant you the legal jurisdiction to actually regulate businesses in Identity. 2.) I offered you a compromise package to assure Aurum Mining would prevent this situation of class division because I am trying to Co-operate with your agency. You ignored it. 4. ) The assumption is you would be limiting my inventory because you are limiting my Profit of Margins, Where does the abuse of Entrepreneurial freedoms stop? Not saying the intent is there but if you open one door where does the other close? You essentially would be pulling the strings of my company like a puppet for consumer happiness. 7.) I intend to bring many goods and services to the table, and I will allow the consumer, not a "regulatory agency" regulate my prices with what the consumer believes is valuable by the extent to which they purchase. Taking a look at your example if Merchant A has expenditures of 100 dollars from start to finish to make a couch, but is an incredible artisan to where his work, services, and salesmanship are unmatched . Under every circumstance he has every right to sell that couch for 50 grand. This may destabilize the economy but economic classes were not created to be equal.Only in a Utopian society would that be possible, and having that mentality on this example is a very socialist way of thinking. Why should the Merchant be punished for outstanding work and the overall outlook of the economy when he is practicing his craft to make an outstanding living for himself. Now, however if he makes the couch for 100 and does poor work that is another story.

1.) 300% profit margin may be booming for your dreams, not mine. Who are you to limit my entrepreneurial goals? 2.) Laissez-faire is the best economic model because it allows business owners the best potential for economic growth 3.) In a Free Market economy you don't force the consumer to buy, if they don't like the service or high prices, they don't have to purchase 4.) I am currently the only Mining company in Identity, When the game start I'm going to aggressively mine Raw Materials, Are you going to limit my inventory as well? What if I clean the map are you going to take away my inventories and "trickle it out to other mining companies". 5.)Regulatory Agencies rarely work, due to push-pull factors necessary to make everyone happy I'll tell you what I can do, I will not allow you to regulate me. However, for for fear of me becoming a monopoly. In game when I begin mining resources, I will separate and properly price my resources in three separate packages. The low class package - The Middle class package - The high class package - This will ensure a middle class remains on my part at least, I could care less how other businesses affect the economy and I will not be punished for it I will determine prices at a later time but they will be within affordable range for each class once I get a feel for the market. As far as my resources I will not let you limit how much I acquire, because that just goes to show my hard work in game and I will not be punished for that as well. This is the best compromise for anyone because I do not limit myself to a 300% profit margin. and I do not limit my materials. And your still able to do your regulation thing.
-
by doing that practice not only would you be eliminating healthy competition in a laissez-faire capitalst free market economy. By getting other companies to sell the same goods for cheaper you are going from being a regulator to a proponent for certain businesses you favor. What specific indicators do you use in your business model to determine whats a "FAIR PRICE". Because what I consider fair you could consider outrageous and vice versa. Ultimately it should be the consumers choice to decide what is a reasonable buy and what not to buy.
-
I plan on starting the most successful mining company in Identity. We will provide everyone with the raw resources & materials to achieve there goals & dreams. My name will be Baron Von Aurum a business man who wears the most lavish suits and is a esteemed business man who's lineage in resource mining goes back centuries.

First off you are a self proclaimed business regulation bureau that has no legitimate jurisdiction over any business. Therefore, for the sake of identity's roleplaying community lets say we give you the authority to regulate us, @Honeybadger is correct you are approaching our conglomerate with a "guilty before proven innocent mentality" before you have any factual evidence of said crimes or illegal activity. Just because a Mafia is partnered with this conglomerate that is no proof that they are currently and actively participating in illegal crimes. Instead of coming to businesses with cease and desist letters, I would take a different approach, because if we don't comply with your letters what is going to stop us from continue what we are doing. You could use force, but we would just use it back.

A conglomerate is not a unfair business practice, have you ever heard of Warren Buffet, he owns a company called Berskshire Hathaway, He is a billionaire and one of the richest men in the country. I implore you to do your research before posting about about the regulations and co-ordination of businesses if you really plan on being a regulatory agency.
