Another great idea...but a ton of work for devs. Basically, this is like asking to add a stock market system - which would be amazing, but a hell of a lot of programming. This would be a cool mod (hint, hint*).

I'm guessing there will be limits, as to not allow one player to have a monopoly over too many assets and keep somewhat of a level playing field, but that's just a guess.

Perhaps, if enough people show interest in running a hotel as a business, the devs can implement it at a later date. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to add something like this - mechanics/algorithms, etc, but it would be pretty damn cool, imo.

My workaround - for all of this, is going to be Discord. If necessary, we can all be in-game and be on a Discord server and use voice or text chat there. Albeit, Discord doesn't have voice changing capabilities - yet. Either way, I think there are ways to make everyone happy, even if it's not all included in the game itself. Shout out to the devs - you guys are doing a fantastic job! I am getting antsy though and can't wait to finally PLAY! lol

For people who haven't RP'd, as the OP spoke of, I can see how one would think it would seem to break immersion. IMO, having voice only breaks immersion, since they're are no voice changing abilities in this game. For RP'ers, you can be anything and describe yourself and be that character you wish to be through writing it in text-based chat. With voice only, if I'm some big, burly dude and then I speak with some girly voice, THAT breaks immersion...completely. As an RP'er, I won't be RP'ing on this game unless they A) include voice changing (even if it would mean allowing MODS to do so) or B) having optional access to a text-based chat for the sole purpose of Roleplay.

I haven't had this experience and I have only done text-based roleplay, in-game and via Discord and Skype. I have yet to roleplay any characters of mine with voice, although it looks like it would be a blast. Still, I'm hoping for options.

Personally, I think it could be fun using voice, but it would be even better if we could use a voice that would make sense for the character, i.e. a voice changer, be it integrated or through a 3rd party application. Also, it's important to note, many people don't like talking/chatting in voice. Having ONLY voice as an option would really put off a lot of people. It's always better to have choices, rather than be pigeon-holed into anything.

Yep, I went for the $30 and then a wait and see period. I'm crossing my fingers that everything works out and the game is actually released. It could really be something special.
