Kevin finishes connecting the spark plug leads in the engine bay of his '99 Nissan Skyline GTR when he notices the time on the clock on the wall of his shop. "Christ, its damn near supper time" He gives his hands a quick wash before getting into the drivers seat of his car. Kevin closes his eyes and turns the key in the ignition. After stuttering for a second the engine roars to life.He revs the engine several times, each time he lets off a loud noise comes from the turbo blow off valve. Happy that everything seems in order he shuts the engine off and gets out, patting the roof of the car. "Don't worry girl, I'll have you back on the road in no time" Kevin turns his hat right way round, grabs his red plaid jacket and his sunglasses from the office and heads out into the rain. He tosses his jacket on and hooks his glasses onto the front of his t-shirts collar. He gets into his Impreza WRX STI and heads of into town. He parks outside of a small pub located near some apartment buildings. Kevin flips down the visor and opens the mirror. He runs his hand through his short sandy brown beard before trying to rub the fatigue out of his gunmetal blue eyes. After a few moments he flips the visor up and steps out. Kevin stops outside of the door and pulls out a pack of cigarettes and knocks one out of the pack, grabbing it with his lips. He replaces the pack into the breast pocket on his coat while grabbing a zippo out. After lighting the smoke he takes a long drag, enjoying the storm for a few moments.

"Come on guys, there's a door with a door bell like ten feet to the left that doesn't let all the heat out. Besides that's a brand new door, I don't need people banging on it" *Kevin tosses Rosso one of the badges* "Professionaly done, made of enamel. I want to build a brand around this, get some worldwide recognition"

"Honestly no clue what's wrong, so I'm doing a complete teardown and rebuild to hopefully find the problem and fix it, my guy Ryan is on his way so we can work around the clock to at least be able to send out a running car that just needs cosmetics done. And seeing as how I am doing I rebuild I'm going to trash that shitty turbo the last owner was trying to use, and I am going to install a top of the line one instead. It's going to be a long few days for me, I'm probably going to have to swap out the tranny and the drive shaft as well so all the power doesn't get wasted" *Kevin opens the nearby fridge and pulls out a Monster energy drink* "Right then, I should at the very least get the engine out before handing this job off to Ryan" *Kevin heads back over the car and continues working on getting the engine out*

*Kevin grins* "Well there was a warehouse I was looking at near the docks, depending on what these cars go for I should be able to buy it straight cash"

"Branding" *Kevin pulls a gloss black badge with three gold letters reading UPB, and right under that in a smaller font reading Underground Performance Build, from out out the box. He tosses it to Shenji* "I'm thinking we put these on the back of builds that come through here and start to build some brand recognition. After people see just how well these cars perform, they will want one of their own, and if they know who built them, that just means more business for me, and more money for me, you, and Rosso. Of course I wanted to double check this would be fine with the two people who are doing most of the work on these cars, I'm just here to build them"

*Kevin finishes disconnecting some hoses when the doorbell rings. Kevin gets up to answer the door* "They better, total teardowns in this tight of a time frame are not cheap" *Kevin answers the door, and standing there is a courier with a brown box and a clipboard* "Kevin McNabb?" "That's me" "Right then, sign here" *The courier hands the clipboard over, and Kevin quickly signs his name handing the clipboard back. The courier takes it and hands him the box before walking off* "Yea, you have a good night too" *Kevin heads back inside muttering to himself* "Simple good night would have been nice" *Kevin sets the box on the table and opens it* "Hey Shenji, something just came that I've been meaning to talk to you about"

*Kevin closes his eyes as he turns the key in the Soarer, the only sound coming from the starter trying to turn the engine over* "Stupid fucking car" *Kevin gets out and slams the door shut* "That sounds great man, but I don't think there is a very high chance of getting this stupid thing done by Friday. There should be something by now, but there is absolutely nothing. I've checked all the plugs, the fuel pump is working, the battery is charged, and the OBD reader doesn't show anything" *Kevin flops down on a nearby swivel chair, resting his head in his hands for a moment before he suddenly perks up. He picks his phone up off the table, sending a text before heading back over to the hoodless car* "I've got it, I'm going to get my guy Ryan down here, me and him can work around the clock to do a total teardown and rebuild of this engine, hopefully we can figure out what is going on with it" *Kevin sets about disconnecting everything from the engine so it can pulled out*

*Kevin finishes pushing the Soarer inside before responding* "That's a tricky one, I am going to have to take a look under the hood, but I think I'm just going to try and get that Supra out the door as soon as I can. I mean it's running, so I'll probably repaint it, throw on some decals, new body kit, lower the suspension" *Kevin begins walking around the car forming a vision for it* "A custom exhaust system couldn't hurt, get it to sound real good, and maybe a custom interior. Oh, and underglow lighting of course. Probably give the engine bay a good scrubbing, get it shining"

*Kevin finishes loading the Soarer onto the trailer and straps it down before climbing back into his truck. Kevin enjoys the rush of cool air and the sound of the supercharged engine as it effortlessly pulls the loaded trailer through the city. Kevin parks near the Supra before hoping out* "Give me a second to get the door open, there should be two open spots inside so just pull in once the door is up" *Kevin heads inside, pressing the button to open the door. Once he is satisfied that it is opening, he heads back out to start unloading the trailer*

*After feeling his phone vibrate, he pulls it out and reads the text from Shenji, and flicks his mostly finished smoke on the ground stomping it out* "Well shit, hate to cut our conversation short, but duty calls. Who knows, maybe we'll run into each other again" *Kevin climbs into his truck, stopping at the garage to hook a covered vehicle trailer to his truck. Kevin heads down to Rosso's dealership, driving through town with the bass from the music blasting through the subwoofers. Once he gets to the dealership he turns the music down, but leaves the truck running. He walks up to Rosso and Shenji* "Right, so two questions, one, where is the car that needs to be moved, second, is it hot"

*Kevin takes a long drag from his cigarette, holding it in for longer than normal before exhaling to respond* "At one point I did, now I just work on cars. And as far as the car goes that depends on how long ago it was, I've wrecked more than my fair share" *Kevin takes another drag"

"Well then let me welcome you to this island. As far as pubs go, it depends on what you are looking for. If you just want a solid pint on the cheap, and don't care about risking a fight, I would say the pub about a block north of here would be your best bet" *Kevin points down the street* "But if you are looking for something a bit more quite and clean, I would say head south about two blocks, and there is this small place, not many people go there, so odds are this early you'll have the place to yourself" *Kevin points the opposite direction*

*Kevin lights a cigarette, a feeling of pure relief as the smoke enters his lungs. As he inhales he hears someone calling out to him. Kevin slips his Zippo and smokes into the breast pockets of his plaid jacket. He turns as he exhales to face the man* "I suppose I do, how can I help you?"

*After seeing Shenji off, Kevin finishes off his beer before setting back to work on the Mustang. After working on the car for a hour, Kevin thinks back to the proposal and pulls out his phone, texting Shenji* "If your offer of cards still stands, let me know the time and place -K" *After sending the text, Kevin heads outside to have a smoke to discover non in the breast pocket of his jacket* "Well shit" *Kevin heads down to the nearby 24/7 in his truck after locking the shop up. Once there he gets out and heads inside to pick up a pack of smokes when he notices the two people in the alley having a conversation*

*Kevin puts the wrench down on a nearby workbench and takes the finger* "Christ, you really aren't someone to fuck with are you" *Kevin walks over to the fridge in the corner of the shop and pulls out two bottles* "Seeing as how you're here, want a" *Kevin looks closely at the labels on the bottles* "Overpriced bottle of craft beer?"

*After sitting for a few minutes and collecting his thoughts, Kevin grabs his gun off of the table and heads out to his Velociraptor. He climbs into the truck, and places the handgun in its spot in the center console. Kevin drives through the business sector, stopping at his other shop just on the outskirts. He unlocks the door and heads inside, where he sets to work on the 1968 Mustang GT still sitting on the lift. As he works he starts muttering to himself* "Great going genius, it's bad enough having the mob higher ups expecting you to work on their expensive cars, but now you have started getting involved with the fucking Yakuza" *Kevin hears the chime of the door opening out front, so he heads out to see who it is, grabbing a large wrench off the table* "Hey who's there, we're closed today"

*As Shenji and Hanshi leave the garage, Kevin goes to Brandon* "When that guy comes in to get his cars, let me do the talking, I do want you to get the rest of the boys here though for just incase shit goes sideways" "You know you can count on me" *Kevin takes out the wad of cash from his pocket, counts out around half and hands it to Brandon* "I knew I could count on you" *Kevin heads outside and climbs into his truck. He opens the center console and pulls out a tan HK45. He removes the magazine and clears the chamber, and does a quick ammo count. After confirming that all ten rounds are in the magazine, he loads the gun once more, but does not cock it, and returns it to the center console. As he heads home a green Porsche GT3 nearly hits him. Kevin lays on the horn before continuing on* "Fucking dipshit Porsche drivers" *Once home, Kevin grabs his gun from out of the truck before heading up to his apartment. After a quick shower, Kevin tries to get some sleep. He wakes up just after 7am, and gets ready for the day ahead. Before he heads out to his truck, he does one final ammo check on his gun, stuffs it in the back of his pants waistband, and heads out the door. Once at the garage, Kevin heads in, giving a head nod to the mechanic outside smoking. Once inside he sees Brandon and three others inside of the garage* "Thanks for coming out guys, I appreciate the help" *A few minutes later the man who was smoking outside comes in* "Two cars just pulled up, I think the owners of those cars are here" "Thanks Mike, I've got it from here" *Kevin heads outside to greet the men* "You must be Yukine" "That is correct" "Right, well there was a slight issue with some of the cars, if you would just come inside we can discuss it" *Kevin and the four men head inside as the drivers stay with the cars. Once inside Kevin turns to Yukine, with both of his hands behind his back, one of them resting on the grip of the pistol in his waistband* "Some friends of yours took delivery of the cars as it was, a uhh" *Kevin grabs a piece of paper from out of his pants pocket* "Shenji Nagasaki, I probably butchered that to hell and back, but that is who has your rides" *Two of the men behind Yukine begin to move forward when Kevin pulls out his pistol, aiming it at Yukine, while taking several steps back* "Move one step closer and I will blow your boss's head off" "I know who this is that you speak of, and once I deal with him, I will be back to teach you some manners" *Once the men leave, and Kevin watches there cars turn around a corner, Kevin heads over to the phone in the shop, and calls the number on the bottom of the sheet of paper. After ringing a few times it's finally picked up* "Yukine is on his way with five others" *After listing for a few moments, Kevin hangs up the phone* "Thanks for the help guys, head home, and be careful" *After everyone clears out, Kevin slumps down on a office chair, placing his gun on the counter, his heart still pounding from the adrenaline*
