I'm sure once we establish jurisdictions through role-play, and once the game is released, we will know more information on how the police departments will work. Varying from local, county, and state law enforcement agencies, it will depend how the administration of each department will want to organize their rank/department structure. Ideally, and merely my opinion, local departments chiefs should be appointed by the city council after an application and vetting process. The Sheriff's Department should have an interim sheriff until an election can be held, and the state commander/chief/director should be appointed by the Governor. Having these processes will allow for checks and balances to occur, since the local and state administrators are appointed by an elected official and the Sheriff held accountable by their constituents. From there, each administration can gauge how many officers are needed within their jurisdictions for ample coverage of calls for service. Some agencies will have many auxiliary services, such as the state police; whereas the local departments may have fewer due to funding and employees.

Basic Information Name: Louis Tantalo Nickname: Louie Age: 36 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Sexuality: Heterosexual Occupation: Law Enforcement Background Louis Tantalo was born June 22, 1980 in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Louie has a twin sister, Rose; they are the children of Edward and Mary Tantalo. After graduating high school, Louie movie to Michigan where he attended college for two years earning his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He then attended the police academy in Grand Rapids, MI and was hired by the Lansing Police Department in 2001. In 2003, Louie married his college sweetheart, Dawn, and now they have three children: oldest son Jack, middle daughter Morgan, and youngest son James. Louie worked at the Lansing department for fifteen years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant in the Patrol Division. However, due to the troubling atmosphere in the department, he resigned from his position. The city in their recent elections had a change in city council members. Much of the attitudes towards law enforcement changed due to the nationwide outcry of alleged police brutality. The chief of police refused to comply with some of the city council's demands and was relieved from duty. Due to this, many other high ranking officials were asked to resign or left when an interim chief was appointed by the council members. Times are troubling for Louie and Dawn. With Louie being unemployed, money they had saved for their children's college fund is trickling away. The couple sold their home in Lansing after finding Dawn's brother-in-law, John, opened a brewery in Ash Hill and offered Dawn a position as the manager. The Tantalo's now own a home in the suburbs of Ash Hill. Louie is still seeking employment with the City of Ash Hill. Through the rigorous background and hiring process, he is still waiting to hear back. Dawn's work, The Raven Brewery and BBQ, is doing phenomenally well in the area and has recently released its latest brew of Nevermore. __________________ More information will be released throughout the coming weeks, including updates to Lou's employment and more background on the family.

I've worked at a police department now for three years as a dispatcher -- currently serving as the supervisor. I just finished up my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and I am continuing my education towards a Masters in Criminal Justice Administration. I have two more years left, then I'll be moving out of state and going to a law enforcement academy. However, relating to this topic, I have experience both from work and from university. The experiences range from: Firearms, Precision Driving, First Aid/CPR, Defensive Tactics, Patrol Problems, Report Writing, Michigan Criminal Law & Procedure, Traffic Management, and more. As for the experience needed on an MMO? I think I'm sitting pretty solid. Just waiting for the release of the game now.

Hey @ChillBilly -- thanks for bringing this topic up. This is actually one of my worries when the game is released if players try and create/bring in a 10-code system. I'm a dispatcher at my local department and our county doesn't use 10 codes. Most of the dispatching agencies in the State have eradicated the 10-Code system and like you said, most in the nation. There's still a few of them that do in the Upper Peninsula in MI, but they do odd things up there regardless... At any rate, we have three codes that we use in our department over the radio -- Code K for deaths, Code X for distress, and 10-25 for a Bomb Threat. Everything else is verbal. Lots of changes after 9/11 and the use of the airwaves!

Hello friends, I must admit, I stumbled across Identity from watching a YouTube video about upcoming games in 2016/2017. After watching the video, it sparked my interest -- so I thought I would check out the website to find some more information. I've been reading about the game and I'm definitely interested in sticking around and seeing what comes of it. By the looks of things, the community here is welcoming and excited for the release. A little about myself, I recently graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice this past spring. I'm staying at my university another two years to complete my graduate studies in Criminal Justice Administration. Afterwards I'll be moving out-of-state and exploring my law enforcement options there. I've been involved in various MMORPG's in the past, including Jagex's RuneScape. I was heavily active in their forum community and have been a player for over ten years with them. I've also been involved in various LE communities on GTA:IV, Habbo Hotel (old) and MyCoke (really old!). If there's anything you want to know, feel free to ask. I'm looking forward to being part of the community and I'll be patiently waiting for the release of this game. I'm Dylan, by the way.
