I imagine there will be some teens or younger players that will be an annoyance to whatever server they are in, however the same can be said with older players as well. I think the vast majority of players, regardless of their age, will be playing this game to roleplay properly. I don't think there should be any age restriction to applying for police, because there are many mature young players out there, many have great imaginations and bring great ideas with them. Some of the best cops, detectives, agents, etc may be young players who are very dedicated to whatever craft they follow in game. I imagine most older players will also be trying to make the best out of the RP as well.

Identity should be for consoles and PC
The1TheOnlyGonzo replied to Gifted's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
I think it would be awesome and would add more possible players to Identity, however this game will probably be to vast for consoles, but that is okay too. Games like these, that push the limits of genres and how game operate, push the producers of consoles to make their consoles better. PC games pioneer Console gaming, and hopefully this game can have the same effect to MMOs, RPGs, etc. -
@JamesLuck01 so there could be FBI or IA like positions within the Police Path? That may not be a bad thing for organization and career advancement. It would be cool if, in game, the elected government could open their own "departments" which could be used for government agencies, but I get that could really add confusion and clutter up the server

Will officer's uniforms drop for the taking (for impersonation)
The1TheOnlyGonzo replied to idkaname8's topic in The Precinct
Just because there is no system for it doesn't mean players can't figure out a way to impersonate or be undercover. For example: Manufacturing is something that can be done in game, therfore anyone could try to create an outfit that looks similar to police. If a player made said outfit and wears it in public, they could try to infiltrate the police. However if caught by police, they could be charged with impersonating an officer. An example of undercover work; An agent who is part of an operation against a criminal organization. the agent could disassociate with the force, maybe even be placed in jail or prison to aid their undercover story. The agent acts like a criminal and attempts to infiltrate the organization, while still secretly keeping his fellow operatives informed of his movements and actions. If and when he managed to infiltrate the organization, the agent would attempt to play the part inside the organization, and would try to find legal ways around any illegal activity asked of him or her. When the operation feels they have enough evidence to prosecute, they end the operation and carry out warrants for arrest. Or if the agent's safety becomes a liability, the operation could end to avoid getting their agent killed and the operation foiled. Both can be done without aN in game system in place. All it takes is a bit of imagination and thinking outside of the box.- 13 replies

Are you mentally retarded? Seriously, do you have an extra chromosome? You do realise entering a property without invite is needed by both criminals and authority? Furthermore this is a suggestion section, and this thread is just that, a discussion suggesting a concept that should be a section of a Cops Vs Criminal game. We clearly understand you have a wide stick up your ass about it, and everytime it is mentioned, it turns ever more so in your rectum. However this doesn't give you a right to tell people to leave because you don't agree. What are you a fucking 5 year old who has to get his way, even if it is retarded? Also if that is how you believe Identity will be, then perhaps you should go back to your Sims, where you precious world can't be shaken by individual thought.... Fucking kids need to shut the fuck up on this site with their stupid arguements of fucking nonsense. "I don't like this idea, so let's be a fucking retard to all who have a difference of opinion."

I was reading through the podium section here and it brought a question to the forefront which I feel must be adressed. Is government going to server/region based? For instance, the Conservative Party, if it is based in the North American Server, would it therefore only be able to run for North American Government of Identity? Furthermore, if governments are server based, could one government body attempt to manipulate or even coup another government body of another server? Could we potentially get a Globalist government? Or would all servers run as states so to speak, having a president elect overseeing all government bodies of all servers?

Only being able to enter a home with an invitation is limiting to the entire concept of this game.... So criminals, when wanted can go to their homes and wait for police attention to be directed else where. Police have no true way to execute a warrant to enter, because if the criminal refuses to invite them, they have no way to enter a premise. People can bitch about not RPing properly, but welcome to the public server of safe spaces..... The base intent of this game is cops Vs criminals. Criminals being able to enter homes without Consent and cops being able to enter a location with a warrant, even if they are not invited in should be part of the foundation of the game.

Corruption should be allowed in severs, however it should be built organically in the server. It also should be heavily punished in the server if caught for corruption (depending on the severity). Corrupt officers, detectives, etc should have to fear Internal Affairs, loss of their job/power, and possible jail time if caught. This would force corruption to be smart, and something not every officer, detective, etc could accomplish, or even attempt to be. This is just my thoughts tho.

Will officer's uniforms drop for the taking (for impersonation)
The1TheOnlyGonzo replied to idkaname8's topic in The Precinct
I think impersonation will need to be determined by the server admin. As there is no in game system for it, servers that want impersonation or undercover work, will need to set it up themselves.- 13 replies

I think major crime should be more than a few hours. Perhaps 6-12 hours of in-game servers time. If I open my own RL servers, prison time may be hours to days of time served. How else is the criminal underworld going to capitalize on your mistake, if they have no time to fill the gap? Plus it validates having court, or attempting a break, or trying to swindle guards and fellow inmates. I think realism should take focus over base entertainment. This is a role play of reality, Prison isn't fun, it is an institution for those that cannot fit to the construct of society. The RP should incorporate the danger of the criminal life not hollywoodize it. Just my opinion tho

It would be awesome if we could literally make our own motorcycle manufacturing brands. More then what GTA has offered us.
-
I would love a lot of customization options and plenty of bike variations. My dream would be classic custom panhead or bobber. I would love to have both in Identity.
-
I think branding will be another aspect for the business portion of the game. Those that are competing in manufacturing all most likely will be fighting for top brand recognition. I think that could be very cool, my only concern is players bringing in RL brands. What is stopping a player from opening their own shoes company called Nike, and using the checkmark as their logo? Will Identity have some way to counter the use of trademark and copy right images and brands?

@Hzap thank you for your interest in us, we cannot wait to get started on Identity and begin expanding. To answer your question regarding what style bike or bikes we ride, we ride cruiser, bobber, chopper, panhead, etc. we stay away from crotch Rockets ,modz, etc. I hope that helps you.

After the release the apartment customization trailer, Feared N Fearless is very certain they have made the right choice in expanding into identity. At this rate of steady progress in making a solid and deep game, we are confident in our choice in identity, and hope this community won't be a toxic place like GTA Online.

Apartment/Housing Customization Video
The1TheOnlyGonzo replied to HairyGrenade's topic in The Town Square
@ShenjiNagasaki chances are they will just do the base style of Western living or just the base of the main building and housing styles. The more specific I imagine will be left to the players to create and sell in the market. It seems this game is very focused on what the community can accomplish. -

So many people would like a rushed, most likely incomplete work? Seriously people need to understand that this is a 9 person passion project. If theY are not bending for the impatience of people, perhaps keep faith that they aren't putting out a money grab like Hello Games. Do you all want another No Man's Sky? Have patience, or make your own game. Sick of inpatient people who don't understand the undertaking 9 people have taken. 2016...fuck all the living. lol

OMG.....make your own fucking game of you think you could get this done quicker then the small team working on this game. Furthermore your feelings mean nothing to anyone. who gives a fuck if your disappointed, who tf are you Mr. 2-fucking-Posts. Seriously anyone who wants to bitch, go make your own fucking game or sit down and shut the fuck up kids.

If not, I don't see how it is the end of the world. I get we have been waiting (some longer then others), but I would much rather wait for a good game and good informative videos, then cliche trailers and B Rate, stripped title.

I still think it can be accomplished even without a system in place in the game. It will just need to be accomplished by police literally going undercover, and joining/infiltrating a criminal organization.
