  1. Identity competition? Nine to Five

if you believe that in the end when identity releases will look like it did in its rendered scenes then your a fool yourself... at least 9 to 5 they showed off realistically a work in progress game graphics and didn't just go over the top and make unrealistic scenes to and say hey look this is what the game will look like.. Why do you think tripple A games don't have games looking as good as they showed off in there scenes because its not realistic it dont work that way when making an actual full game you remember Emergancy NYC right ? the game Remember there first video footage they showed off let me remind you of it This is what there graphical features looked like in 2015 when they showed off there early game play video now go back and watch video of there actual early access release on steam.. YEARS latter.. they had nothing what they showed in there early videos.. they came to realise something and had to start from scratch or something but every game dev shows off super graphical game play in early development then by the end it looks nothing like it DAM YOU STILL SEE IT AT E3 by tripple A dev's so many games had graphical downgrades hard.. its easy to render a small scene in whatever engine there using with high graphical features and be like here this is what the game gonna look like man there plenty of fan made projects on you tube of people making insane graphical scenery open that up and make the game actually load the entire map at that level your PC gonna die... emergancy nyc still has to optimise there game to get it stable FPS.. and it looks like nothing from there early days im sure 9 to 5 isn't done graphical side either there just getting started i wish both projects the best of all the best... if you where to compare the town square video to nine to five while driving though there town square it looks almost the same all they would need to do is some more tweaks to there lighting and tweak other shit and and it would look identical besides normally developers focus on the mechanics of games and get all the features in game then worry about the graphical side of things game graphics don't make the game.. you can have pretty game graphics looking good but f the game play shit then its shit.. but its all about the game play and what you can do in a game all the kinds of jobs and if they do the mechanics right and not basic arcade shit have the game play fun then that beats graphics why do you think people buying farming sims to whatever else that look like shit ? for what the graphics nah man the game play.. its all about the game play and a good story man there still people playing garry mod RP you think they care about graphics ? lmao.. it don't mean shit..
  2. Identity competition? Nine to Five

what do you mean competition ? no offence to identity but they did everything plus more done in 2 months then what idenity has done in years.. if you watched the video.. took them 2 months.. id loved to see 3 years of there work.. if thats what they got done in 2 as for the arcade comment, thats 2 months of work only of course its going to look arcade lmao it took what years to get this identity to show off something that looked exactly the same its a shame though they went and made there own game they should of joined forces with this game and they could of had more dev's and could of made a pretty good game.. Its unfortunate though i don't think 9 to 5 will get its funding but to see what they got done in 2 months compared to identity years its kinda lol i like there ideas and its going to be somewhat a sim to i kinda hope they get the funding but i doubt it they got all the cool sounding jobs as well and features.. but i'm still loling they got more to show in 2 months of work only lmao.. all the housing and what not already done etc town even looks like there town square already done.. etc they even have driving a car working and whatever else.. all in 2 months.. how long did it take Idenity and what not to get everything together and showed off there first actual game play that looks the same as 9 to 5 (years) lol you can't compare..
  3. 1 TASK MORE BOYS!

its going to be like APB when it first came out just a little section with some pretty buildings but that actually turned into a game though.. how ever i don't see theses guys getting any where with the amount of delays and problems there having with just a town square module.. just think what gonna happen when they actually gotta program the planned game play features lmao
  4. This is pointless. . .

the amount of delays this game has had from its town square model to apparently almost being done many months ago same excuses over and over i only come on here each month to see there delay reason and move on iv'e seen fan made projects have more features and what not on you tube for a high school project made in 1000x less time, go look up some unreal or whatever videos of fans making scenes that look exactly like identity yo they can't even get the town square module done in time and been delayed 100 times how do you expect to develop a full map and add all the planned features and back end mechanics when there having trouble with the basics now lmao this game is going to be stomping land 2.0 but worse.. enjoy all the delay boys it will get there eventually but when it does come release time and they start getting everyone crash reports and hard ware problems and whatever else you wanna hope there actual developers and not just people who are fans of life mods and thought it would be cool and easy to make there own game after messing around in unreal engine for there first time and thought how easy it is to make nice looking rendered scenes lol you guys saw emergencyNYC game right years ago how they did there video looking really good graphical wise and game play back in 2013 they didn't hit early access for years latter and you know what happen they had to start from stratch and the graphics they showed off in there videos early on looking nothing at all like it did in the end not to mention all the features they showed off didn't exsist when they hit alpha lmao I can see it happen here now to lmao. and if by chance they pull off a in 6 years time and this game actually exist and looks as good as the promo videos with all its planned features then holly shit you will blow my mind
  5. This is the new video...?

no fucking way really ? 3-4 years ? and they basically have a pretty rendered scene with basic place holders and bad animations I get it they need to do back end stuff for MP but dam i thought they'ed actually have something decent to show off by now I thought id just watched a video from a game that just started development 6 months ago i take it they are self thought and have no actual experience as in a degree or some type of course ? far as i know we just got a few people who gamed together who had an idea and thought they could make a game and then spent a week learning how to make pretty graphical scenes (That would never work on a real game) learned some basic GUI added to the scene (people have already done this all through youtube.) and then people just thrown 800k+ towards it and now there forced to actually try and make a game lol.. ill come back in a couple years from now good luck lmao.
  6. This is the new video...?

how long has this game actually been in development for ?
  7. This is the new video...?

(insert month and months of work befor theses dates ) Posted August 28, 2017 "One of our top priorities right now is to give all of you who have been waiting a glimpse of real gameplay in a video. Identity's funding and progress has exploded since we showed you the workings of the housing and apartment systems on YouTube, and now we want you to see vehicles, drug production and weapon systems. I can't promise any dates on this video, but it'll be soon. In fact, I expect you to watch this video before you receive the next dev blog. This coming video is sort of a catalyst, and I can't wait to show you what's in store after it." Posted October 12, 2017 "We wanted to give you a glimpse of the game development process and have been streaming on Twitch to show you how it's done. Four hour (or more) long streams have gone live since my last dev blog; keep an eye on Identity's Twitter for future stream announcements. We try to have at least one development stream per week. As a fan of Identity, one of the things you're going to enjoy most is the flurry of videos which will be coming soon showing off the social features of the Town Square. For a simple social module, there's a good bit of fun things to do!" Posted December 1, 2017 "With our expanding development team, we're able to focus our efforts in more areas of Identity's development. With vehicle and weapon systems now getting attention, we're once again progressing towards a short but feature packed gameplay video for you guys to check out. " Posted December 23, 2017 With the Town Square development moving along, we're not far off from showing the world real Identity gameplay! Like I said up there, January is going to be a big month. For us in the studio, we're excited to get our hands on a few new technology demos that might have a huge impact on Identity! For our fans, January is going to be the month you see the first true world gameplay video. Not only that, but soon after we're looking to release a Town Square trailer! Keep your eyes out on Identity's Twitter and Facebook. (another 4 weeks passes.) February 13th (finally the video) and now here we are after sevearl mentions of a video coming soon with feature packed and whatever else they said i was dispointed in what they shown all i saw personally was a fancy rendered scene in unreal enjine with some custom added GUI for the drugs and flunky animations the car driving it self and what not looked to be like already added place holders to the engine it self they give you for free for the ammount of time they spent making this video and to only show a mintue if that of actual basic gameplay that could of been recorded and done in less then a day to basically spend months working on animations and they where still flunky i suppose we all have high expectations so where giving them a hard time.. but i dont know i honestly see this being another stomping land or emergancyNYC (for thoes who don't know this is what NYC showed off back in the day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EaDOrBzU3g&index=6&list=WL as you can see it looked pretty good and looked like they made progress well fast forward to 2018 and now go look at the game on steam it looked completely nothing like it they had pretty much started from scracth (but its actually making steady progress) but my point remains This is what idenity is doing showing off fancy rendered scenes that i don't will cut in in the final game whatever road block NYC hit so will they of course this game will end in 3 ways be canceled.. be the the worse game ever.. or the best game ever.. we shall wait and see so far im personally not impressed YET from what i saw a basic unreal armature could of made the same video in much less time.. but i suppose good luck to the dev's your gonna need it.. iv'e seen unreal fans on youtube make side projects much better and in much less time then this lol..
  8. GAMEPLAY VIDEO

lmao is this the video that took several months to make ??? wow.. i was hoping to see some police lights to see if it looks good dam but hopefully it pays off in the end I don't how this took months to record.. though.. since its so short. but oh well.. this video was hyped way to much..
  9. Video

they sure as hell been recording for quite along time now could of sworn john was recording said video many moons ago.. after 501 delays there still recording said video lol it must be pretty f..ing good lmao.. or not.. we shall see inb4 3 minute video
  10. How Long Is This Video Delayed?

all im waiting is to see if they actually know what there doing At the moment all iv'e seen is over the top 3D rendered scene's with some basic elements that 1000s of people have already done and shown on youtube if they believe that they can make a fully open world game at that detail online they need to think again why do you think if game enjines can make scene's look that pretty why haven't big game company's games dont even come close or look like it with 1000s of dev's because its simply not possible the amount of power you would need server side and client side would be huge.. emergancynyc tried to do the same thing 3+ years ago showed of a fancy scene next thing you know 4 years latter the game was started from scratch and looks nothing like its old video demonstration... for all we know the dev's could be just a bunch of random who could make a fancy rendered scene just like 1000s of other kids on youtube could Claimed this was how the game gonna look like and what not and everyone jumped on the hype train there a difference from having a nice rendered scene to an full pledge actual game.. good luck to the dev's though and everyone else i really hope they pull through i really do... EDIT oh wait im sorry they showed off some 3D rendered models.. pretty sure thats never been done befor.. C:
  11. Let Identity learn from APB?

if anything they need to learn from ARMA 3 Project life game play and Emerson, just the life mod in general i always wanted a game just like it but with better physics and vehicle handling and what not if island life was turned into a standalone game with better mechanics that can support it and what not it would be best game ever!!
  12. "the way that SWAT works is that when an event occurs which warrants SWAT reaction, SWAT officers will be notified and can report to a nearby HQ. While at the HQ they'll gear up and then deploy together via a SWAT APC/truck. This truck isn't a drivable vehicle, it's an automated system to deploy the SWAT people to the scene. SWAT is limited to the area of the event, as their equipment is very powerful." wait is this how its going to work with the full open world map ? like automated system Why not go with the way arma 3 does it there just normal police gear then get called they respond and put on the gear just add something that restricts them from getting the items from the trunk unless at a specific event zone Sounds kinda odd lol..
  13. This guy actually speaks truth to be honest as far as we know they could just be fans of the arma life mods Who thought they could make a game and just 3D rendered scenes after spending a day or two learning how to do it as far as we know they just used in game assets that was already available to them For people who have made almost 700k in funding and haven't recruited anyone and its still a small team and there doing whatever they want and doesn't sound like someone looking to run game development and setting up for the future of there game and hireing people like all the kick starter people are doing instead there doing nothing but keeping the money and playing games together.. We wont know until the actual game play module comes out way after town square to find out if they actually know how to script and do shit and not just self thought the basics and watched youtube videos there are plently of videos on youtube of people doing beautiful looking scenes inside a house if you think for half a second thats what the game gonna be like then think again rendering everything and everyone client side and server side on a box open map at that detail would be impossible.. you'd think if unreal was able to make scenes so beautiful and highly detailed by people messing around why dont all the AAA games companys who have 1000s of devs with skill why don't there games look like it ? because its not realistic when actually making a game it doesn't work its nice for a little rendered scene and maybe one day games willl look like this but not today not now.. the people at police 10 13 started doing the same thing they are only showing a bunch of 3D rendered models gave a half ass lame excuse to why there not going to show there tech demo anymore ( saying investors already invested so there no point showing it) then increased there funding goal from 100k to 200k without showing any evidence of actual game play or the game tech i myself was waiting to see the tech demo to find out if its going to be any good or is it going play like that enforcer game (on steam) and look like garry mod life in visuals and gameplay to be honest i don't think any of the teams police 10 13 or identity have anyone who has actually done a course or college or whatever or have any experience in making a game for all we know its just fans of life mods who got the idea that its easy to make a game and look we place objects and render shit in a 3D scene this is easy mode and ask for funding i dont think neither of the games will be as good as people think, for example look at emergancyNYC they did the same thing they renderd a scene that looked decent enough back in 2013 and said this is game play now go look on steam and tell me does it really look like this ? and how far back have they gone.. almost 4 years latter and they had nothing but started all over again but when you look at the video in 2013 you'd think wtf happen right ? this is why i dont trust people unless i know they have experience in game development look what happen to stomping land a bunch of people thought they could make a game and in the end they ran and took everything so dont get ya hopes up to me This team looks like a bunch of friends who thought they could make a game and learned the basic in unreal im hopeing they prove me wrong in time.. making 3D models and showing a view pictures doesn't tell us anything until we see something that wont come out for probably another 2 years im not gonna spend a cent didnt they say the town module was almost done they where just finishing it up ? you'd think it would be done by now or they would be working on it hard to release it but weeks latter still nothing just chilling playing video games and drinking cool aid lol
  14. New intelligence.

I dont think this has anything to do with identity development but some random guy learning how to use unreal and giving people examples and what not what he was working on it was posted back in feb last year..
