I would also love to see this, although I doubt it will happen due to copyright reasons.

How will damage be taken
SkinnierSteve replied to JohnNYBlaze's question in Tourism (Q&A)
Yeah, the guy that is working on the game says he will improve it. His game is still a prototype, but that was just an example of the damage model I want to see in identity. -

It is said that you will walk with a limp if shot in the leg. Not sure how many shots you can take though, and not sure if there will be an overall health bar. I'm hoping for a damage system like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7BKGlj-kNs That game was made by just 1 guy, so since identity has more than 1 dev, they should be able to make it as realistic or even better than that. I hope they do it anyways. -

You can put your seatbelt on to reduce your chances of dying. But if you get hurt in an accident, you need to go to the doctor.

Welcome! I'm from South Africa too, nice to see I'm not the only South African on these forums, and I can speak Afrikaans. You are probably from Johannesburg though, since you get rain. I'm from Cape Town, where it's hot all the time with very little rain. Anyways, welcome to the identity community!

As I posted before. Even if they add the most brutal disasters, your house cannot be harmed in any way, so that is not an issue.
-
No. Devs said it's because they want players to know who are cops and who are not.

Homesteading, Pets and Horse Riding
SkinnierSteve replied to Charlabee's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
Your house can't be broken into, and pets can't leave your house. They plan on allowing pets outside after release. I believe farmers and farm animals is a thing though. -
If natural disasters are implemented, I highly doubt they will do any damage to your house in identity. Devs have stated that your house is your safe haven, and it can't be damaged, destroyed, or broken into, so perhaps having them in the game could be cool. I mean, it is confirmed that you don't have to worry about damage to your house.

Here's all the proof you need: http://whatculture.com/science/10-compelling-pieces-evidence-prove-aliens-visited-earth Aliens have been visiting earth for thousands of years, but the sightings and UFO crashes are all covered up.
-
Aliens are real. Not trying to be rude here, but if you really think all the UFO sightings around the world are hoaxes and believe in all the coverups and believe that out of infinite amounts of planets ours is the only one with life, you are very narrow minded.

Example of a solid build for Identity
SkinnierSteve replied to JohnNYBlaze's topic in The Town Square
I think those games I mentioned are just poorly optimized, that's why it ran so badly. I know most games will run at 60+ fps on these cards though.- 43 replies

Example of a solid build for Identity
SkinnierSteve replied to JohnNYBlaze's topic in The Town Square
I don't think it's overkill tbh. I have a GTX 1070 in my Pc, and I can't run some games on Ultra at 900P with 60 fps. Examples are Project Cars, dips to the 30's and 40's depending what track I chose, especially during rain. Rise of The Tomb Raider, jumps around the 40's, Watch Dogs 2, around 30's and 40's, and so on. All those games I mentioned maxes my GPU with that framerate. I saw people with 2 GTX 1080's that can't run watch dogs 2 with everything on max settings. They get around 30 ish fps in some areas, just like I do, but I'm not even on max. Even people with pascal titan x's are struggling with that game. And it's at 1080P. I play my games at 900P. imo, there's no such thing as overkill Pc parts for modern games, because requirements are becoming ridiculous nowadays. I bought my 1070 last year, and already I see games that needs 1060's or 980's to run, and games that wants 16 GB ram. Yes I have 16 GB ram, but still, it's just insane. But what I mean by that you can't get overkill Pc parts for modern games is because the current best parts are not even good enough for watch dogs 2, rise of the tomb raider, and project cars. Even at 900P. Well, Sniper Elite 4 runs at 130 fps with everything on Ultra for me, but that game is well optimized. Ghost Recon wildlands can be anywhere between 24 fps and 130 fps depending where I am, what I'm looking at and how much action is going on. But yeah, graphics and stuff have almost peaked at this point though, so you might not need an upgrade for at least 5 years as you said. I mean, My Pc is 5 years old at the moment, I just changed my graphics card last year from a gtx 560 ti 2gb to a gtx 1070 rog strix edition, and bought another 8 GB ram to make it 16 GB. My CPU is still 5 years old though, but I checked with MSI afterburner why my framerate was low, and my CPU usage was only at about 50% or so, and my GPU usage was maxed with those games. I didn't include the games that maxed my CPU, because of my CPU's age, but yeah, those are the games that can't be run well no matter what graphics card you have. Oh, another game, but that's probably just a bug. Euro Truck Simulator 2. When I am in exterior view, framerate is 60+. When I switch to cokcpit view, fps dips to 30's and 40's, even though GPU usage and CPU usage are low. But that doesn't max my stuff, so that's nothing to do with the parts. TLDR: Not even the best current GPU's can run Project cars, Rise of the tomb raider, and Watch Dogs 2 on the maximum settings even at 900P without VR, so GTX 1080 is not overkill, but might still run games 5 years from now since graphics and stuff have pretty much peaked.- 43 replies

I'm cool with the handling being like GTA 4, as long as the car damage is more realistic like BeamNG rather than GTA 4. I heard it will be like GTA 4 though. Although I hope more realistic, for example, much easier to total the car, components that take damage, like radiator, transmission, engine, etc. Realistic car fire, but no explosions. Also, car damage should be dynamic, unlike Arma 3 where the damage always looks the same. I want the car to deform realistically from impacts. A mix between GTA 4 and BeamNG, or even Wreckfest style damage would be cool. Although Wreckfest is not realistic, but I mean the deformation amounts could be like wreckfest. Parts should not fall off that easily, and cars should not drive when their engine is literally squashed into the driver's seat. But yeah, Gta 4 style damage with a bit more deformation, and easier to total your car would be awesome.

I can answer question 3 and question 5. 3. You can live in the woods, chop down trees and stuff, but you can't build buildings. You can get a camper van to live in though. You can hunt animals, chop trees for firewood, cook and eat the animals to survive. You can play identity as a survival game. 5.Pets can only stay in your house for now, but the game will get updated eventually to allow pets to go outside your house, so at launch you can't have a hunting dog, but maybe later. I hope I helped.

lol, that's a secret. You'll see if you ever manage to find out what I'm up to by stalking me in the game.
