  1. Analysis about the age of users

Already two years ago that I opened this. Wow ... came back to report bugs Glad too see we have a lot of people who voted. That gives a statistical value to this. Thanks to all.
  2. Analysis about the age of users

I'm 26 by now Time passes so fast just got an email from them ...
  3. Analysis about the age of users

I don't think people come back to the forums 24/7 like some of the kids do. My last visit was in June as of work and other problems so I'm sure you won't be the only one ^^ They just don't find it necessary to comment or vote here.

What was his reason? As I don't have many years for my own children it's always interesting to hear other opinions on this 18+ games discussion.
  5. Can individuals play an "Pre alpha version"? And before devs say no take this into account: I'm a software engineer myself so I know how bug fixing works and that it's difficult to test every edge case of a software. I would sign a contract to not leak any information, visual and audio footage, pictures or simply everything about what I see and hear. I would do this in my free time to help you out. If you would allow a small number of players you would have testing people for free. Players who didn't have anything to do with the development do different stuff than you would do. They'll probably find errors you wouldn't even think about. You just need a page where we can report bugs like JIRA. So for the Beta version you could eliminate the risk of having serious bugs which could scare people without an IT background away. We could meet via Skype for an interview so that you can make your own opinion about possible candidates. A final idea of mine is that people pay a deposit of 250€. You create different unique characters and map it to the person. If footage of this player get's leaked he will not retrieve his money back.

Hehe funny you mention it. My "Fostex T50RP" will arrive on 23.05. Counting the days. Both versions extremly good but it's just a legendary song and a legendary performance. So I'm big fan of music that not everyone knows. Your signature tells us to "Peace out :-)". I use this one when I want to have some peace for my soul. And it meets the condition of an "Unkown song" In my opinion not the best but worth knowing.
  7. Rate the above song

7 / 10 | -1 for 0 .. 1:00 | -1 for 1:37 .. 1:47 | -1 for 2:25 .. 2:43 I went through around 40 really great electro tracks I found recently. But it was nothing I would take to an island where I'm left to die alone. But with this song I would. No one can beat their performance nowdays. Legendary ... The guitar solo is the best thing I have ever heard from a life band. Chapeau! Sultans Of Swing. I would dance to this in the warm sand of some island until the end of days Sorry my browser wasn't on the last page ...

  9. Pay to play

You can find your answers here als well: http://www.identityrpg.com/community/topic/3114-subscription/#comment-30461 http://www.identityrpg.com/community/topic/3191-donation/#comment-31106 It's sad there exist people who don't understand how much work this people put into this. A donation for a P90 wouldn't be so wrong. I love Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis and that's why I always mention this P90.

  11. Analysis about the age of users

In my personal opinion players below 16 don't necessarly destory the gameplay. I mean of course they have a lack of experience but if you let them play with older players many of them adapt because they want to be part of such a community. At some point everyone here would troll. At least I'm a crazy troll if I have the chance to. And yes I even do bad stuff trolling just for fun because it is funny when people overreact. But if you have rules that people have to sign and to obey and some players break such rules than you have to punish them hard and they won't try it a second time. I talk about 24 hour ban for hardcore stuff. After that 1 week and the advice that this will be the last opportunity to obey the rules. And if nothing helped just take his account offline. And PLEASE. Don't start to discuss trolling here and whatever bullshit might come up to your mind. My point is: Weather old or young if there are rules and you get punished if you don't follow them, bad bahaviour won't happen often.
  12. Hello I'm really a fan of computers and the internet so here is a more detailed explanation I'm drunk at the moment so forgive me some mistakes. I noticed while reading a second and third time through my comment that I always have spelling mistakes. So you should know that in the digital life anything consists of 1's and 0's. Voltage high and low. For me it's fucking fascinating how we send and receive data through the internet. It's not trivial! Some fucking genius invented this long time ago and it still works. Even with all this tons of smartphones connecting. They couldn't possibly think of smartphones when inventing it but man ... it still works with all this devices. Incredible. But ok ... im drunk sorry. So this is what helpmed during my studies. So after you watchted this at least twice try to follow my thoughts. We have a server with one single "Scott CPU". OK? Next a player connects via TCP/IP. Damn this gets pretty difficult. I'm going too deep into this so let's keep things simple. A player connects. That player moves. The server has to calculate the new location of that player and send it back to him. Why does he send it back? We'll come to this soon. So all of this needs calculation. Let's say the server needs 1 second to calculate the new location of a player when he moves. Now as you asked for 1 second * 10.000 players. That are 10.000 seconds only for one move that a server has to calculate. Why does he need to send it back? Because if player 0 out of 10.000 moves another players lets say player 1 also needs to know about that movement. Because it's an interactive game. You see people move and they see you move. You are in america and they might be in sweden. But still when you press a button forward that other players also sees you moving. Isn't that fascinating? Anyways. Let's say that 10.000 players move 5 * a second because they keep walking all the time. That are 50.000 seconds (or 14 hours) just to be sure that when you press the forward key the player for sweden or germany or mexico or whatever fucking country that is currently on the same server as you knows that you did press that button. So now let's say that a player can drive around with a car, shoot around, buy things, die, ... , bla bla bla bla. Do you start to understand? Fortunalty we have CPU's that can to 3.000.000.0000 calculations each second so instead of 14 years we only need 1/14 seconds. That is so cool! But even that 3.000.000.000 calcualtions are too much when we have too many players trying to do too many things. I hope it might have been helpful. I tried by best. And here is another source where you can learn more about why 10.000 players would be difficult on one server: https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/computer-science/internet-intro
  13. Analysis about the age of users

Only 49 people out of several thounsands (im to lazy to look it up) found this thread. If you now think about that some might think it's funny to put anything but the real age the statistical value of this tends towards 0. If we have several 100 users we can simply ignore the few trolls. I tried ... Maybe we'll find more people. Thanks for participating anyway to all honest voters.
