The devs confirmed this a while back but I can't find the tweet for whatever reason, maybe it has been deleted. All vehicles will require fuel, and will consume it at different rates. The MPG (or KMPG) will vary depending on the vehicle type and its modifications. As to who will set gas prices I am uncertain, but it will be most likely the mayor, or the owner of the gas station.

I'd probably buy a house in a town suburb to start off with, it's a good mix because you have the accesability of products from the city, and the possibility of leaving to the countryside at any point

I was just wondering if anyone else was as absolutely insanely hyped as I am for Doom 4, and if anyone has any details about the upcoming game that might be interesting to hear. I've been playing the Quake and Doom games since I was an infant, and it's been over 11 years since we've had an ID software game from one of their good series that gives me my fix of mindless killing, so the announcement of the new Doom was on par with the announcment of Identity, for me atleast. I have over 10,000 hours on Doom 2 alone, and around 9,000 on Quake 2 :P. So, does anyone else share the same interest as me in IDS Shooters? Raffen

I don't believe this game will be too graphically demanding, although the screenshots do make it look absolutely stunning. Why would you not want the movement to be alike to ArmA's? I find the movement smooth and a hell of alot better and more realistic than anything like Gmod or something of the sort. If you're refering to the vehicle movement then I absolutely agree, i'm really hoping the dev's do a good job with car handling and physics. It shouldn't be like ArmA's slippery mess of a vehicle engine.

My concerns, as I think will be shared by many, is the substance to the game. I have faith that the game will come out, and it will live up to it's promised standards in terms of development, but I am concerned that the Identity community in game will not RP as well as I want them to. It annoyes me that on the homepage of the website, the first two things you see are a short clip of someone shooting a rifle, and a gang member with an AK. I'm hoping to log onto Identity, when it comes out, and seeing everyone RP as they should, giving the game real substance and texture, but I don't believe there are that many people who want this game to really RP, and not just engage in firefights like on Altis life. I think Identity as a concept is perfect, but the main issue is that, as put as an analogy, the game is only the engine, the community is the rest of the car. If the rest of the car falls to peices and doesn't work as it should, then what use is the engine. In better terms, Identity will rely entirely on the community to make the game work right, and the community is the most unreliable part of any game.

I'm sorry if you took offense from that, I didn't mean any atall. It's just from my point of view that website did not appear at a passing glance to look incredibly trustworthy.

I've already pre-ordered. Also, that site looks incredibly dodgey.

@CletusRebel Well you might be the first to start your introduction topic with your in-game RP Identity, nice one

There is a system in place in the forums that highlights replies to topics from Dev's or admins in a slightly goldie brown colour, separating them from other comments, which is really useful if you're skim reading a topic and want to see the important replies. Unfortunately, quote boxes are highlighted in almost exactly the same colour as the dev's replies, like so. https://gyazo.com/422ecfe6f6e5623fe96119865a035cb5 I think it would be a much better idea to change the colour of the dev replies, so that these two do not get confused with each other when skim reading a topic. The game is said to be released in late 2016, Early 2017

Yes you can. Before starting a topic please search the QandA or search for previous topics that ask the same questions as yours. There are hundreds alike to yours.
-
Then please don't create something of the like again.

Honestly Lion, you're starting this intentionally and you know you are. This topic heading isn't even remotely related to Identity. What you have to understand, if you don't already, is that people ARE going to judge you, because of your age, profile picture and username. Making a topic about it isn't going to help anything. People have a bad reputation with people under the age of sixteen. We are not saying we have a bad reputation with you individually, but you must have the intellect to realise that if you are over sixteen, and you are playing a game with someone under sixteen, you are going to stereotype them as being immature or unknowlegable. It's like if you were kickstarting a game you really cared about, in a great community, and then a four year old stumbles in. You don't know who this four year old is, but you know that they are four. You also know that most four year olds are unlikely to grasp the idea of this game you are playing, and all of the four year olds you have come across have been exceptionally immature. Wouldn't that make you slightly less likely to like them or want to engage in conversation with them? If you think of this situation in that perspective, then you can understand where we are coming from. Personally, I have no problem with you atall. I don't know you, and for all I know you could be the most mature and understanding twelve year old in the world. But the guys don't, so you can't blame them for anything. But you can't help the situation by making topics that are only going to anger yourself and others. The way your going with this buddy, if you aren't careful, you are going to seem like one of the more negatively looked upon twelve year olds. I think the best way to resolve this would be to PM the guys who have doubts about you, and explain to them that you are more mature than you seem and that you will understand the game, and won't be a harm to the community. Hugs and Kisses, Raffen

When I was twelve I was playing The Incredibles on a gameboy classic, begging my mum for icecream and listening to metal midis, not pledging MMORPG's. Welcome sir.

Hello, I'm George. I have been a big fan / supporter of Asylum for a while, massively enjoying their Altis life servers especially. When I heard about Identity's announcement , probably later than I should have done, I sort of subconciousley opened my wallet to the kickstarter. I come from a hardcore RP background, ArmA 2 and ArmA 3 servers, and it's great to hear that users will be able to rent their own servers for that sort of thing.

I found out about it from going on Asylum website after playing alot of A3Life

As Identity will be a game devoted to MMO RPG in a real world sense, RDM is a big problem, and it is annoying on such games as Altis life or Gmod DarkRP. As there are moderators and admins already signed up for servers, I can imagine that there will be a great deal of security for players and punishments for rule breaking. Ofcourse RDM is inevitable, accidentally or purposfully. Some people are just dicks. There isn't really a way to detect RDM without making the game incredibly limited, so I imagine a user reporting system will be set up. If you are really worried about RDM or just rule breaking in general, I would suggest that you download a background window recorder too keep as evidence if any rule breaking does occur. If you have an AMD or Nvidia graphics card, this comes as standard. For more information read up about Death and Rules in the FAQ here:http://www.identityrpg.com/community/topic/7-frequently-asked-questions/

As the devs have promised that alot of jobs will be open to the public and not handled by AI, for example in Altis life, car dealership is handled purely by an automated system and not by a person buying / making / selling cars, I propose that everyone lists all the jobs that WILL NOT be handled by real players. For instance, will people be able to buy weaponry from shipments, craft it, and then sell it on to the public in their own stores instead of an automated system? Same with cars, food, transport ect. Basically it's to fill with all the jobs that we won't be able to do. If this topic already exists or the answer is in an FAQ somewhere please tell me or just delete this.
