    Maybe with the delays to launch this will be ready to go and subsequently included from launch...they did say it'd be very soon after launch afair, considering the length of the delays and release of these screenshots...I wonder ??
  2. Which cars do you want to be in the game?

    I just wanna see a variety, also want the expensive highend sport cars to be rare and almost unattainable like IRL. Hate playing a game and everyone out there has a car or collection of cars worth multiple millions and there isnt a clapped out banger in sight...

    That no rush comment is sarting to get on my nerves! ?? Everybody seems to be saying it... ...but at the same time there is currently momentum and interest in the game. If the devs draw it out for too long they will lose support, revenue from refunds and interest and they may never recover from that. It's a fine line but I don't think its fair to say we're rushing them following 3+ months waiting on an "immenent" launch... Why not devert more persons /resources into getting the last 3 issues resolved and then get them back on their individual tasks once launch is ready. Personally, I'd be pulling out all the stops if I was in their position and getting the bugs resolved and the released launched...

  5. Backstory of a stuggling artist

    Initially a struggling portrait artist, D. Marlboro began his career capturing the character of Ash Hill’s most lively citizens. Rarely getting paid for the pleasure however, he reluctantly turned his hand to forging fine art. His attention to detail and undeniable natural ability quickly made him successful and with this success came money, more money than he had ever dreamed of making as an artist. With the money however came pressure, pressure to churn out forgeries, pressure to perform, pressure to undertake more lucrative cons like counterfeiting…his small cosy studio quickly became more and more like a sweatshop with deadlines, backlogs, angry (and dangerous) customers. Coping poorly, and as many of the creatively inclined do, he turned to the bottle, and then, to various other…substances. This dependency quickly overtook him, driving him further from the artistic expression he cherished and pursued initially and culminated in a severe case of writer’s block. Unable to summon the energy to meticulously scour over and reproduce the more popular workings of the grand masters, his debt began to mount exponentially and it quickly became obvious something needed to be done. Being all too aware of the value of art (real and fake)and with his contacts in both the artistic community and black-market he figured he could flip an original painting or two for a tidy profit, pay off his debt and escape the criminals he had inadvertently fallen in with. The challenge however was doing this without any capital. A cheap plastic party mask and an old, rusted unreliable shotgun later he had pulled off what the press described as a ‘strong arm robbery’ but in reality was much more like a hectic smash and grab. Regardless, a new bug had bitten; he no longer craved the chemical highs but the massive and natural adrenaline rush which comes post heist. The arm full of paintings he had secured from his first job where enough to cover his debt and buy his freedom. Finally free but with only a couple thousand dollars to his name he retired the old shotgun replacing it with a much more manageable and reliable .45 pistol, replaced his plastic party mask with a non-descript black ski mask and began planning his next hit. It wasn’t long before the target of his heists became irrelevant and he branched out from galleries into local shops and businesses and eventually into the realm of banks and the ever more challenging stash houses of drug dealers and criminals who had harassed and threatened him in the not so distant past… Thoughts, feedback appriciated!

  8. Task Tracker 4 days and counting..

    Tbh there's always going to be pressure from the community for the Dev's. As soon as the trackers completed it'll be when will the new website release/why haven't you released the website yet/what's the delay with the website. Then it'll be TS, when will TS release/why haven't you released TS, th tracker says its ready/whats the delay with TS. Then it'll be updates and new modules, so on so forth Just chill and wait. The Devs were most likely focusing all their attention on the stream and gameplay preview which IMO is much better than seeing an item or two (if we're that lucky) updated on the tracker... Additionally some issues might be more challenging and take multiple days to resolve and there's simply nothing to update...

    Looked fantastic, really glad to finally see it. I'd assume that the reason the Dev's ignored chat for the most part was to stop the stream getting derailed and sidetracked which IMO was probably purely necessary... I hope that the gameplay and future content quells some of the doubters and reassures anyone on the fence. The content looked incredible and detailed. The graffiti leak, in addition to all the other stuff, chess, movies, tattoos, etc for instance just highlights the level of attention the Dev's have and justifies the development time/delays IMO. Can't wait for release. Any chance you wanna give me Dev access in the meantime ?? Seriously outstanding work...
  11. Think @ECorp is looking for new info @MapleMooses that post is 3 weeks old at this stage and refers to things being 'very very close' like the website. Considering the tracker's been up and running for 2 weeks previous to that post it's quite a long time without some news. Especially considering there was supposed to be new gameplay footage, new website and we've yet to hear or see anything about either...

    Yeah that's fair enough and understandable. I think I've just a different attitude, I'd rather the game releases and that the Dev's focus on development rather than keeping us informed about a process thats always subject to change and somewhat distracts from that Development and could potentially derail or delay development at points. Just think of all the games which you've had no input into or where theres been no transparency but still released and well loved... Just my 2c

    But ultimately do we need to know all the details? How does that benefit the game, community or the Devs? Just opens the door for more nay-saying, critisim and distraction when the Devs could just be getting on with it...

    I would imagine to stop random rooftop shooting sprees and snipers which I know the Devs have discussed limiting long range weapons and scopes for this reason in the past so would assume its an attempt to reduce the threat... @TPlayswas thinking more like Arma myself than GTA. Massive explorable world with access to all buildings.

    I think it was a good idea and certainly better than providing another deadline/date which the Devs couldn't adhere to but I think some people need to manage their expectations a bit better. Keep an eye on it myself and honestly check most evenings but there's no need to post and stress when it hasn't been updated on the occassional evening (or over the weekend for that matter ??) some tasks will take more than a day to resolve and it will appear that little has changed according to the tracker but the Devs are making progress everyday behind the scenes. I guarentee the tracker only scratches the surface of whats going on in terms of development...regardless looking forward to the release when its ready just hope the Devs realise nothings perfect and not to obsess over the smaller issues

    Google lion vectors and have a gander but it'll depend on how robust the tattoo system is. Probably best to keep it simple at first till release then see whats possible...would love to be an artist, might even try tattooing was an actual dream of mine as a kid!

    That's a missed opportunity I think, doesn't encourage players to paint anything other than phalles tbh! With a slightly more robust system you could have some serious competition among the artists and actually make it a viable profession and very unique aspect of the game. People will want to decorate their businesses and homes and fine art and portraits are a great way to do that aswel as expressing wealth, support and appriciation. No import means all artworks will be custom which is a big plus IMO. Maybe it'll develop over time but I think its best suited to TS as painting and stockpiling artworks would be a great and productive way of killing time while we wait for the other modules. Anyways thanks for the info @subway244much appriciated.

    Any more on the painting feature for Town Square? How will it work? Is it essentially MS Paint or will it be a bit more advanced? Will there be filters or effects which you can apply to make paintings more stylish or cohesive? Can you impodt images or is it all done in game? I believe I read somewhere there will be original artworks with the possibility to produce copies or prints? Will originals be obviously original i.e. making them more valuable. Will the Artist need to retain the original to make copies/prints? Can someone open a gallery and sell high end art in game? Will artworks associate the artists name with them? Can Artworks be stolen? (Would love to see some forgeries and an undergroumd market for hot artworks develop in game, criminals targeting the valuable stuff, buying it as assests or providing expensive art as payment). I plan on playing initially as a struggling portrait artist and am working on my back story atm so am very interested in any additional info you guys have. Thanks

    Isnt a bug essentially something you don't understand or didn't intend on happening? It's very hard explain something you cant understand or never intended to do until you've figured ot out and resolved it. I also don't think the Dev's want to take time out of their day to post about temporarily broken features when they could be focusing on the issue and resolving it so we can all get our hands on TS. I don't think this is about transparency I just think IMO that talking about bugs all day would be soul destroying. Who honestly (outside of constructive critisim) wants to focus on the negative aspects of their job when there's so much positive...

    If, as you say, money's no problem and you're interested in the game and seeing it release I would because it improves the liklihood of that. I like supporting studios and Devs that are producing games I'd like to play. Havimg said that hou've supported them more than most already so there's no pressure ??

    I would imagine if the player is in the vicinity of the car it won't start counting down the 30 minute despawn timer. No actual authority or involvement with the Devs, just thinking logically. Cars are aways-away...anyway

    Undercover can make things very grey, instead with just cop, just bad guy its well defined and clear, reduces confusion, corruption and abuse.

    Agree wholeheartedly, thankless job (for the most part)!! Haven't been on these forums long but I have been lurking for years, always found it well manage, fair and a great source for information. Would be the case without you all! ??
