Ah right thank you for a sensible answer -
Yes I heard you can get clothes, but the game is so buggy I can't even get past character creation....guess I'll try later

I just launched Identity today after waiting 10 hours for the thing to download and although I can't get past character creation (just yet at least) I cannot find the Founder's Hat that I was supposed to get in the wardrobe. Is it somewhere else, like a freebie in a shop or is it lying around my apartment somewhere? -
Yeah I can't believe how little customisation there is in terms of hair and face - I imagine they'll be an awful lot of doppelgangers wandering around (if I ever get to play) plus it would be nice if they showed thumbnails of what you were selecting in the clothing, instead of just empty numbered boxes....

Well, Kickstarter's terms are quite clear on what happens if the funded project doesn't happen: "The creator is solely responsible for fulfilling the promises made in their project. If they’re unable to satisfy the terms of this agreement, they may be subject to legal action by backers. " So let's hope it does.

To be honest, if they did release it earlier than this people would only complain about the bugs that weren't fixed. I'm a developer myself (not games but web apps) and I know that bugs happen a lot and fixing those bugs could cause others and so on. It must be a frustrating time for the devs especially with people ranting about it. However, having said that, I understand why people are frustrated - publishing release dates that were not met is not a good idea - and I can bet that if no definitive dates were given it wouldn't be as bad as it is. I get impatient when I've pledged money to a project that takes a lot longer than expected, but you know, recently I've seen games released on Steam that I thought were long dead - and they're usually worth the wait. I still have loads of other games to keep me busy whilst I'm waiting for this one to be released so waiting until it's actually ready isn't a problem...

Personally I don't care about a new website, they should just be concentrating on getting the Town Square module released...

I have to say though, I've followed many other independent studios and their respective games and most if not all of them are pretty much dead without any word from the developers. I guess the one good thing is that we're gonna actually get this game even if it is later than expected.

Yeah it's been so long I can't even remember when I pledged lol. I think it would be a nice idea from the devs if they upgraded people's pledge packages to account for all the delays....

I share your feelings, but even though I respect the fact that the developers are working as hard as they can and there's always problems along the way, they shouldn't put out a solid release date with a countdown timer if there's no guarantee. They should have released the task tracker earlier and given a more broad release time. Like, Q1 - Q2 2018 or something. There's always issues with giving out exact dates because people just get antsy when it's pushed back because the date couldn't be met - but that's to be expected. I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see what happens.
