The Steam reviews are negative, to simply say "Well they should've known it's a module" is a sad cop-out. People can complain all they want and they have the damn right to. Devs stopped having the luxury of "it's an alpha" or "they're a small team" once they decided it was okay to add MICROTRANSACTIONS to the game, when they decided you can pay a few hundred dollars for a house and a car, once they BROKE THEIR PROMISE of the alpha being NOT WIDELY AVAILABLE but just to the BACKERS. You can defend the devs all you want, and people can call them out for what seems to be like a cashgrab. They earned a million+ already and what have they really given us so far? Microtransactions, microtransactions, broken promise, microtransactions, broken module with absolutely nothing to do. THEY decided to RELEASE it on STEAM for EVERYONE, they could've waited, they could've done better with communicating. Sure, calling them names and being absolutely toxic towards them is not helpful, harassment and all that stuff is ALWAYS BAD. People are allowed to critize, and yes, people are entitled to it, especially those that gave up 50+ dollars. 2 months since any update is terrible, and it only makes people hate the team, hate the game more and more. They made promises, and if it's something they can't deliver, they shouldn't have made them. Hell, telling the community: "Listen, we get we promised this and that, but we simply aren't good enough at creating what we wanted. WE will still work hard to finish the game, but some things like X and X are simply unachievable. To compensate and show goodwill, we will remove some microtransactions like paying real life money to edit shirts and put logos on them, now you can unlock that with ingame currency only at launch!" would be met with backlash, sure, but at least they would show the backers that they are being honest. Again, idk if it's the case, but what my point is, is that they should communicate and be honest. It's a two way street, devs need to communicate, and the backers need to stay civil.
-
First off, you miss deadline after deadline, then you are extremely horrible with communication. Then you start selling BS like "Pay 5 bucks and you can create a custom shirt!" Something which SHOULD BE FREE. Dogs, cats, houses all that nonsense all money grubbing. But now NO DEDICATED SERVERS? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Only RENTABLE servers? This is DayZ level cash grab. I beg the devs, don't do this to the costumers. This shit is anti consumer as hell. Stuff like this honestly seems like this game is going to be just another cashgrab poor asset flip game. I honestly hope to god i'm wrong, hopefully some devs or mods can correct me if I'm wrong. With this, I would gladly be wrong, I honestly do. I've been looking forward for this game for so long, and if this is honestly the route you guys are going, I feel very, very, very let down. Many already said this game is too good to be true, and shit like this makes me think this might be the case. If this is all correct, this is honestly EA style bullshit. Edit: I recall that I've been TOLD by MODS a few months ago, that there WOULD be dedicated private servers eventually, looking through my history if I can find it. I am 100% certain though. If you can indeed create custom shirts and stuff without having to pay REAL LIFE money, then I'm okay with it. Then I can live with rent only server shit, even though I still hate it as a business practice. I get the devs want money, but to milk out every creative endevour and everything is beyond messed up.

Does this mean you have to keep buying the IRL 5 dollar token from the site? Or will you be able to create custom shirts (in full release) without having keep shilling out 5 dollars per custom design? If this is the case, that you don't have to keep paying 5 bucks per custom design and custom shirt or shoes etc, that would make it better. Mainly because I like creating stuff, so if you allow me to create stuff, I can overlook 90% of things I disagree with. Thanks for your reply, I do appreciate you taking your time

I got the founder pass which I paid 30 bucks for. Now I see that the Ride t-shirt thingy is also 30 bucks. So I assumed, I would get that one for free now, but apparently, to get that one, I need to pay 30 bucks extra? So it's cheaper to upgrade to the cabbie pack? I don't fully understand
-
Yeah, no. " this game is what Dayz,PubG, and Arma all wish they could have reached. " That's litterally what they said about all those games. Scum will unfortunatly be another generic game, with hackers and spawn campers. Game will likely die within the first 3 months of it's release. It simply doesn't look like it's really something special or unique. No doubt that there will be players having fun, but I don't think it will be as big as you are hyping it up to be

I'm actually currently busy with a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure game, that I'll be releasing on Android, Amazon and IOS. Will have an open alpha in the coming weeks actually. I have dabbled with ORPG engines as well, 3D engines and such, was fun to do, but never became something serious
-
I'll keep it clean mostly, I'd probably punch people roleplaying as communists though, because those people are disgusting anyway. Probably pizza delivery or something. In games like IMVU I always created clothes and designed stuff. I hope I can still do that here for free. If I have to pay 5 dollars to upload a logo every single time, I probably won't do it, because that's just a cash grab which I won't do, unless I can earn irl money from it, like with IMVU

(Question) Are nazi symbols allowed?
jjustgreg posted a question in Tourism (Q&A)
Heya! I had a question. Are nazi symbols allowed for parties etc? The reason I ask this, is because I have seen some "Communist" flags here and there. I'm pretty sure this also means that the Nazi flags or variations of it are allowed, would be stupid to allow one thing, but ban another obviously. The reason I ask, is because I'm curious if we'll see a weird party like "Gay Nazi Party" or something silly like that. Thanks! -
Source: https://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/1666776116200553082 You're the one who seems to not know much about Steam. Everything is pretty much okay, unless it's "Trolling" or actually "Illegal". Porn, etc is all okay.

Everything is legal for steam now. Porn games, school shooting sims etc. Just FYI

Question in regards with the pledges
jjustgreg posted a question in Tourism (Q&A)
Heya, So I see that with different pledges you get stuff. Appartments, cars cash etc. But here's the thing. What's the point? If you pay $500 for an expensive pledge, you'll only get those things in official servers, so if you go to a private server you start with nothing. Or will you have those things in private servers as well? If this is the case, does it mean that private servers are "Shards" instead of actual private servers? And if so, does this mean things (guns, ammo etc) you have in one server, carries over to all? Just wondering -
Showing people around your pledged apartments?
jjustgreg replied to QuinnSinners's topic in The Town Square
Isn't that just on official servers? Like if you go to a private server, you won't get the stuff you pledged for, right?- 15 replies

identity Identity Map is bigger than the gta 5 map
jjustgreg replied to ProtectedSquid's topic in The Town Square
Bigger =/= better. If it's dead and empty, then it has no point. It's cool that they have a big map and all, but I'm tired of seeing games with maps that are HUUUUGE!! But then end up being as deep as a puddle -
I don't think so. You can hate the slow progress, but one thing the devs and mods have done so far is not censor too much. They did censor my post about Nudity, which is retarded af, but if they start censoring opinions, I'll pull my money back
-
If they start closing threads because they are negative towards the game, it shows to potential buyers that the devs are not to be trusted, and are against free speech. If you take your fanboyism glasses off and put on your critical thinking hat, you'd understand. You don't have to agree with the negativity but you can ADD to the conversation instead of shutting it down
-
Closing threads because you don't agree with them is pathetic. Let people show their frustration, most of us at one point have been scammed by Early Access games. If you start censoring people because they have opinions you don't like, you will lose even more people. Look at WarZ and games similar to that, where Devs have been banning people for "Wrong think". If you want "constructive" threads, then add to the conversation instead of whining to close it. Make the conversation happen
-
I guess if it were possible, it would be more likely to see swatstikas and full blown fascism, rather than communism or socialism
-
I like the idea, but we should think bigger. Why not have the mayor or ruling party decide these things. The positive about that, is that when "the people" see these things happen under the rule of a certain party, it could sway people to vote for another party. Creating a more dynamic power struggle. But the idea is interesting

Hello! So a year or so ago maybe longer, I posted the suggestion of "Nudity". Some people were for, some people were anti-nudity and some devs were unsure. This game will have a rating of 18+, it's a roleplaying game and it handles mature subjects as "Drugs, murder and Alcohol". So why not nudity? Just to counter the "arguments" that were used last time I posted this. "Nudity in the game will ensure that this game won't be able to go on steam" WRONG. Nudity is allowed on steam, look at Conan exiles and Rust. "Nudity will create rape culture. Males will harass females" Yes and no. Sure, there will be some that would run around with their penis out, this won't be disputed. But there are also people who will run around doing drugs, robbing people and drunk driving. Like with Rust and Conan, you could have 3 options. 1, no nudity, which would censor everything for the player. 2, Topless nudity only. or 3, full nudity. Those who don't like nudity can turn it off, and those who would like it, can turn it on. "If you want nudity so much, why don't you just go to a porn website?" Because nudity =/= porn. It's as stupid as me saying "If you like murder so much, why don't you just find snuff films online?". It's a non argument. "The Devs want this game on Twitch, nudity most likely won't pass on Twitch" As stated before, if you have the 3 options "No nudity, Topless or Full" it should be fine. Rust and Conan can still be played on Twitch, just with the nudity filter to "No nudity" "Why do you want nudity in the game?" Because it adds to the roleplaying experience. Like it or not, this game is a "Simulator" type game. I understand that some Americans find it easier to let their kids watch gruesome hardcore gore movies, than have them see a nipple. But as a European, nudity is simply not that big of a deal. As stated previously, this game will have an 18+ rating anyway, so why shy away from a nipple? If the devs want to add it or not, is up to them. I personally think that it could be a good addition. Even if it's "just for in the appartment".
-
@yaxy123 Oh wow, first off. You talk about Fallacies, and then make a buttload of them yourself. Anyways let me tackle your points. " this game is vastly different, this game is supposed to be realistic " Yes, and adding nudity makes it unrealistic....? " I don't think people will go drive drunk to troll as much as people will with streaking because it's much easier " And I don't think people will run around as much naked as you think. Why? Because this game is mature in itself. Sure, you will always have kiddies playing games they shouldn't, because some parents suck at their job. Not the responsibility of the creators. If you really think people won't randomly kill people, or drunk drive to "troll", but you do think they will do that with streaking, you're extremely naive. We both know people will use any tool they have to troll. Trolls will be trolls, with or without nudity. " This addition of nudity is only going to create trouble for communities that don't want people streaking as well " Then the server can simply change the nudity filter. " I don't believe in the benefit of adding nudity is not without reasoning, I was saying that the resources necessary to make this could be spent on much more important and better things " Because modeling a simple penis is more difficult than let's say a gun? YOU find it a waste of time, I don't. We can discuss for hours on end about if it's a waste of time or not, as this is subjective and not objective. " as this might create a culture of sex, rape " This is typically American. Oh gore and bloodshed is fine for little Timmy, but a nipple!!!!! RAPE CULTURE!!!!! So you're totally fine glorifying a "Murder" and "drug use" culture, but nudity = rape. Okay. " let me take an example: yandare simulator, it has no nudity and still is banned " Yandere Simulator was banned, as when Twitch looked at it, it was for a few reasons. 1, It's about school girls, which Twitch persumed were underage. Second, there was an ability that they did remove, but it included having them naked. The example of Yandere is mainly an exception rather than the rule. " I don't know if you know this but a lot of people that are hyped for identity are not edgy, horny teens, if they see this weird stuff going on in things like compilations they might consider the game too weird for them. " Well if they aren't "Edgy, horny teens" then why are you so afraid the nudity will create a "rape culture" and have those "non edgy, horny teens" troll people? You defeat your own argument. We both know there will people running around naked, but we also both know that people will troll through, random killing, grieving, drunk driving and especially voice abuse. If nudity is the thing that makes people "leave" because it's too weird for them, then they aren't mature enough to play the game in the first place. "What about people that want to turn it off but get their immersion ruined because someone is RP:ing naked but on your screen they have boxers or trousers on? " No, I'm not talking about trousers. I'm talking about blurring. " Would you like your mom or dad seeing you playing a game with a nude characters? " And this is the thing that destroys your argument about "Most are not edgy horny teens". I don't care about anyones parents, because this game is 18+. If your parents scream at the thought of you seeing a nipple, it just means you're not the right age to play it. Here's the biggest problem. You and I will never agree on this. Why? Because we differ too much culturally. The way you look at nudity and the way you want to "Prevent" it from going in the game, is the exact same way I look at guns and murder. You think murder and gore = perfectly exceptable. Whilst I think that about nudity. I don't care how many stats you grab about "Real life" drunk driving. It will be used as a method of trolling in the game, and you know that. Trollers will always find a way to troll. And if your way to combat "trolling" is to remove features. Then, let's remove guns, drugs, cars, voice chat and anything that makes an 18+ game fun. That way nobody will troll, because nobody is playing.
-
As I stated before, it can differ from country to country. We could very easily talk about "Gun violence" and compare a lot of different countries. As you state "American Adults". I'm not from the US, and not everyone here is from the US. "I would find it very weird for someone to drunk drive to "troll" since it would make them suffer possibly jail time and a suspended drivers license (if that's a thing)" Robbing people can get you jailed as well. To think that NOBODY will "Troll" with drunk driving, is extremely naive. Just look at games like GTA:O, people find it funny to drive drunk and try to hold their cars straight. That is also trolling. And the thing you forget, is that servers can pretty much dictate the punishment for things. For example, they could have the nudity settings for all the "Official" servers on "No nudity". Not only that, they could simply say that streaking/trolling can put you X amount of time in jail. "I really can't see the benefits of adding nudity" If that's what you think, that's great. You can have your opinion. I can easily say that "I don't see the benefits of adding guns as it can be used to troll people". "I don't see the benefits of adding drugs/alcohol/anything". Just because a game has features, doesn't mean you're FORCED to use them. It's about adding immersion for people who want that. Just because YOU won't use it, doesn't mean IT SHOULDN'T be in there. The "trolling" concerns you have with it, I just told you how easy it is to fix that. Heck, even prevent it, without ignoring the entire feature for everyone. They could've made an simple "cops and robbers" game, but they added so many features, because the devs know, that even though not all of them will be used perse, it's about giving the players choice. @LordBenji The reason I don't go into further discussion with you is simple. I gave you answers, yet you keep repeating the same thing. Again, I answered your concerns about "Twitch" and "Nudity", yet you choose to ignore that, and again post something from Twitch, which I already gave an answer to. Yes, in the end it's the DEVS who decide what goes in the game, and what won't. That's why this is in the "Suggestions" section. If you look at the other topics in the "suggestion" section, you will see a buttload of things that "The devs didn't want to put in". I'm always open to discussion, but if you ignore me AND @Xzothi , then you shouldn't be angry at me, when I see your post as "Not adding to the discussion". In the end, you and I can have different opinions. You could hate the idea, and I could love it. It doesn't matter. It's about adding things to the conversation. For example, if you hate the idea, give me some arguments as to why adding nudity would be seen as a negative? I'm not asking for some MMO Porno nonsense, simply adding immersion, and even giving answers as to how they can be implemented, without the game having to suffer from Steam or Twitch. If anything, it would actually drive more people to the game. Some because they want "Tiddies" and some because they like the idea of a sim game with this scale, having the option to choose how far the immersion goes.
-
Now you're taking personal experience and translate it to reality. I've never seen a drunk driver in my life, however I have seen streakers. Does this mean that drunk driving shouldn't be in the game, because I personally have seen more streakers than drunk drivers? Is it rarer in statistics? I couldn't say, as it really differs from country to country. We are both right and wrong at the same time when it comes to this. I respect your point of view and I'm happy you chime into the conversation, that's important, so thank you :3. @yaxy123 You can't say that for sure. People could roleplay as a streaker, and to say that "drunk driving" has no intention to troll, then you are half right. Sure some don't do it to troll, but with any game that includes the ability to drive drunk, people will do it even knowing they could Randomly kill people. So yes, and no. @LordBenji If you're not going to use arguments but use "if you want X then go do X", then simply leave the conversation. It shows lack of maturity.
-
@LuckyDuck I understand where you're coming from, but you will still have people driving around drunk. That's also pretty unreleastic when there are 20 people or so doing that. I assume that running around naked in the streets would have the police run after that person. Even if they just add nudity of in your house, I think it would add more than make it negative. But then again, it's always the players themselves who choose how they use certain options in the game. @LordBenji As I stated in my post, they could do the "3 options" like Conan and Rust have, and those games can easily go on Twitch without any problem what so ever
