Cars in town square?
Paul96 replied to Paul96's question in Tourism (Q&A)
finally found it. This actually looks pretty cool. Pretty much what i was expecting. Very Japanese looking and in this picture looks like steering wheel is on the right side instead of the left. like in the US. -

I see the orange concept a lot and was wondering the same thing. Also saw a picture of an old muscle in a garage that im wondering if its the rusty car. For the rusty car i imagine an economy car though, and the muscle car appears to be in perfect condition. -

That'll do. at least being able to check it out is enough till the racing module. I may be willing to get the $250 pack if i just knew what the car looked like. I want to start from the bottom, but the pledge cars will not be purchasable in game. -
sorry if this has been asked before, but i can't find a straight answer. My question is "if your pledge package includes a vehicle will you see it in the town square module"? I heard in a q&a video "yes" but mostly "no". As long as the models are made, by the looks of the video there can be cars. At least as a demo. Anyway just want to know so i know which package to get. no car, $30. yes pledge cars, $50. not paying extra to wait who knows how long for the racing module. I'll just buy one in game at that point. cars are the life of the game for me in just about every game, but open world games never get the driving right. too arcade feeling, ahem gta ahem ahem. By the looks of it this one will be great! Sorry if this is coming off rude or demanding. not how i mean it at all. Just my logic behind deciding on the package and games in general.

easy way to combat this is to allow financing. Credit card for the cheaper stuff and bank loan for the more expensive stuff. That way people wont be stock piling their cash to buy expensive items. heard you have to buy stuff in full though. it was specifically said about houses, so wonder if you can have a car on payments.

Yeah, for taxi i see a benefit in having options. for example buy the cheap car and spend more on fuel or the more expensive hybrid/electric to lower operation cost. (if there is a fuel system)

Midnight Club Los Angeles had custom plates, but it filtered inappropriate words. I remember trying to put a colorfully worded insult on one of my cars and it wouldn't allow it. No matter how many weird ways i tried to spell it. I see that being very time consuming to create the filter and some creative peeps will still slip through. Also personally I would prefer a randomly generated, but unique plate. Would add to the realism.

YESSSSS!!!! I want this feature. In real life every 5k miles is like reaching an achievement for me. It's a part of my relationship with my car (hard to keep track of time spent driving, but can see the miles). Would love to have that in the game and would add much wanted realism when it comes to selling. would also help if you are on a tight budget and want a car. buy a clunker. Also posted on another thread about having to maintain the car. Simple stuff like brakes, oil, tires, filters etc. With odometers you have to keep track of when to change the oil. Maybe have neglected cars lose power and break down as they get more miles. I love cars, so hope they get in depth with them.

That's what i was expecting, but in the gameplay video they had a Chevrolet Tahoe police suv. Also had a Dodge charger, but branded as a Doge and a Ford Crown Victoria in a screenshot. Wonder if those are placeholders for testing or if the cars will look very similar to real ones. The tahoe looks exactly like the real one minus the logos. Charger was hard to see.

Can the car battery go dead?

I doubt it, but would be cool to have fuel. And maintain the car (oil, brakes, tires, blinker fluid, ect. . . ) Neglecting the car would result in engine damage. With that could have a basic version of "car mechanic simulator" as a career. -
Problem with that is it's more of customizing a vehicle and selling that configuration. The car won't be truly unique, because there will have to be groups of parts compatible with each other. So if another player chose the same part group you will see other brands sharing the same look. Cool idea, but too complicated. Only saw one game like that, but don't remember what it's called. I personally would love to have this feature regardless. I draw cars and have fun sketching my own designs.

I had a similar idea, but not custom cars. My idea was new and used car dealerships/auctions. New car dealerships: limited amount of certain cars per server. That way you don't see the same cars everywhere. Also raising resale value of rare ones (creates demand). New car dealers need a dealer license which gives them access to purchase stock. I have a lot more ideas, but want to keep this short. Used car dealerships: Used car dealers will also need a license, but get their stock from buying player owned vehicles. Auctions: Damaged cars that players don't care to fix. You try to buy them as cheap as possible, repair them and sell for a profit (car flipping) Not sure if it's already in the game, but would be nice to, at the very least, have a craigslist type web page to sell your unwanted vehicles. With all those features it would also be nice to odometers and clean/branded titles. Doubt there will be anything like this, but would be cool.
