That game looks sick

Who knows eh?

The heck is this like No Man's Sky?

I would genuinely like to see those suggestions I mentioned to be put in a Borderlands game tho, I mean imagine how awesome it would be with all these new rpg elements to compliment the experience, I'd play the hell out of it then. Speaking of which do you still wanna play Borderlands sometime?

Either it'll be an MMO with customizable characters or an open world game with some online aspects. But either way it could probably be bad.
1000% That game would be a free to play pay to win

They should make a second one, it's completely possible if Activision get their heads out their arses and listen to their demographic instead of their wallets.

Yup, can't disagree with you there. Many people hated Ghosts before that too but I thought that was actually okay. Loved MW3 and played WAW the most tho.

1 hour ago, fataldutch said:they used to say its late 2016 - early 2017 (which is now the release date of the first beta access) , but the full game is probably late 2017 - early 2018. I have some doubts about the game, because they only show some screenshots from time to time and the only videos in 1.5 years are the 2 concept trailers probably made from unity assets. They said they are going to make a gameplay video sometime . well they say they finished it but they are not releasing it,which makes no sense.
they have 2 devblogs which is just absolutely ???. i get that this small team doesn't have much time to write big update's but atleast giving the community a simple text every now and then is not hard.
This is not a rant, i just really want to know because i'm quite intrested in buying this. but i wont until the community atleast gives some replies on this. NOT mod's and admins. please.
Like the other guys have already said, Asylum have been humble about their bad PR and I believe are now making a noticeable effort to pick themselves up. If you are new here however then I understand if you missed some of the details. I haven't really paid much attention to the deadlines as I knew they would be highly flexible from the beginning, especially for a small dev company. As a small dev it's very hard to predict from the beginning when betas and full releases will come around, after all they have other duties and their families to tend to, no doubt.
Keep watch for the coming months and I think you will be satisfied with their progress. They have just increased the progress bar on the first module for starters.

First of all when the announced the game thats the first time they started working on it so not much there was to give however we can see updates becoming more often so its not ambitious its reality
I don't think you understand the meaning of the word 'Propaganda' And what he said was actually true, it's just you've seen the deadlines change before he has, clearly.

@Shimozukachi @GeneSmith Alright you two, now I know Borderlands is out of the way are there any more games you would like to add to the forum post?

5 hours ago, Shimozukachi said:are you truely compareing fallout 4 with borderlands 2? rest in pepperonis
Shimo there's nothing wrong with embracing change with the Borderlands series, now you sound like one of the people which is the reason game devs get away with making releases barely different than the last

So... Yeah. Identity will take a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.My point proven, they waited until they had something to offer the community soon before they announced it. Identity was announced while they were still planning the damn thing.

10 minutes ago, Shimozukachi said:and what should they add?
I'd personally like to see more RPG elements added to it, in particular relationships with NPCs and purchasing property. As well as that custom gun and armour creation would be very nice. Then there could be silly little extra things like arcade games, mini games etc. At the moment you can what, buy from vendors and accept quests, that's it.

I recently read on the official identity twitter that they will probably not be restaurants in identity. While I understand that it would be hard to implement a sit down restaurant with waiters and stuff, I think there should be the ability to atleast open up cafes and bars.
There would be either a legit player behind the counter or a npc that you would interact with to get food or drink and then sit down at the bar or a table table to eat it. Perhaps the rent in these establishments would be less and they would typically be small because it is a little hard to make alot of money from a cafe or bar unless its in a really busy place. However i think a lot of people want them and also I really want to open a few and use them as fronts for my other "business" and I would love if some had a back room to conduct this "business". It would be cool if we could design the sign out front and maybe be able to customize the interior abit!
Depends if they are implementing hunger or not, if not then nobody will need to ever go in a restaurant.

Well they would have to remake it but it would look really strange imo if they did that.

4 minutes ago, Shimozukachi said:farcry blood dragon is literally just a reskinned, compact version of farcry 3 (i think we both know how the level ups works). the good thing about borderlands pre sequel is that it's a bit slower. that makes aiming with a sniper rifle more easy. i didn't compare the both games. i've just compared both games with their prequel and compared each content change in "percent".
Yes but FarCry Blood Dragon indicates it is an Arcade title and therefore a smaller game. (Not Triple A) And the reason it is slower is because it takes longer to move in zero gravity, so yes I guess you are right there.
-
10 hours ago, Shimozukachi said:well, i've played both games and i like the pre sequel. at the moment i've just played like 4 missions but until there it really got new content like conversations between the player character and the quest npc, new sorts of guns, that new oxygen system, more claptraps etc. you can't just say they've added nothing. the same way you can say battlefield 1942 is completely the same like battlefield 4. the only thing that's completely the same is the mg 08/15 from 1915. it's just the same like the mg 08 (german light machine gun from world war 1)
The quest system is the same, most of the game mechanics are the same, the fight for your life mechanics are the same, the loot system is reskinned but essentially the same, the oz and zero gravity don't make the game feel new for very long, and the interface is virtually the same. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but it's not different enough to warrant a new Triple A status. It would be more fitting as a DLC or filler game in between their next big title, like FarCry Blood Dragon was. Shimo what you need to understand is that 2K added a lot of superficial or small adjustments to The Pre - Sequel which is good, but not anything spectacular enough to call it a new game. Also you can't compare Borderlands to Battlefield because you expect different from each of those games on every release, for starters Battlefield is not open world which infact calls for less change upon every release.

@GeneSmith @Shimozukachi Infact, going back to my post on the off-topic section I wrote a review on the pre sequel actually, I tell all about what I think there.
