Besides of that fact they won't let anyone be moderator outside of people they know on a more personal level. They don't need any more moderators anyway, Hairy can handle things quite fine on his own.

Your pledges stay with you whenever you join a new/reset server. Servers will usually be reset manually by the moderators so it's literally impossible to say how often. Automatic wipes may be administered by the dev team upon a crucial update or change to the game for example.
