Just saying, the 3D modelers who are making clothes and hairstyles and more. They can’t program. So when the task at hand that is remaining for TS to release is a programming task, you can’t put the whole team to working on it. Nor can you put multiple programmers on programming one specific mechanic. Everyone writes code different and understanding someone else’s code is like learning a new language on its own. So it’s not a multiple-man task. It’s a one man task.

Do we have the rewards on every server?

Please tell me those aren't the final animations...
LightBringer replied to mrmccheesie's topic in The Town Square
Goodness no. Until they get the mocap sessions rolling in, these most certainly are temporary. Can't say how long they will stay though. But its all very much placeholder. -
There are seperate accounts for both the forums and for pledging to the game, yes. One account will be used to tie your pledge rewards to your game account while the other is there for visiting and communicating here.

I think it’s alright. We might not be the most open on names, but we’ve put them out there for people to see. Just got to look in the right areas. Appreciate your wishes in wanting to have respect for the team, Preston_Bodhi_343, but really, it’s okay

Since the holiday fell on their weekend which they already had off, they closed up for Monday as many other locations do that are closed up on the weekends.

Hi! Nice to meet you. My MC (corporation) is going to destroy all of you if you get in our way.

Way too much hostility here. Very inappropriate. -
Been a busy week with holidays and more everywhere. It will be up later today. Likely later in the night, eastern standard time.

A bit misleading with a title like that...

town square When are we to expect the module to be released?
LightBringer replied to Alphoni's topic in The Town Square
While that would be a more satisfactory thing to do, it sadly doesnt work that way with steam. The team needs to wait for the final update to be ready (the update that completes TS) before they can submit it to steam for review. -
town square When are we to expect the module to be released?
LightBringer replied to Alphoni's topic in The Town Square
When you purchase a package, you pledge to fund development for an upcoming game that has yet to be released. You can follow progress of the first module included in packages with beta access here: http://www.identityrpg.com/info/modules/townsquare/#tracker -
When you pay for the game, you are infact pledging to fund development for a game that isn't finished yet. The first module of Identity isn't out yet. You can follow progress on what is left to be done in Town Square before it's release here: http://www.identityrpg.com/info/modules/townsquare/#tracker Upon Town Square's release (assuming you have beta access), you will be able to link your Steam account to your Identity account to receive your key.

It's a game. Here was a glimpse of the Town Square gameplay streamed not even a month ago:

It's Community FORUM Right ? Why They delete my TOPIC?
LightBringer replied to SirPablo's topic in The Town Square
There are often reasons why a decision is made by a moderator or administrator that may be unclear to outside-parties, and off-topic discussion about an admin or moderator decision may be disruptive to a conversation. We politely ask that you trust and respect decisions made by staff. If you have an issue with a specific staff member, please report the matter to Beach_Ball. -
What you listed is planned to be vanilla content in the game already. But for mods to expand this, there is no yes or no. Mods are important in keeping life to many games but in Identity's case it might not be all that possible. Servers are cloud based by Google and actually run on a cluster of servers than just one. And you cannot host servers from your own home/system. This likely is a conflict when wanting to mod the game. They want to look into it but not until the game is fully released.

Some tasks are a lot bigger than others, and might not get done in a day. This is partially the case for the tracker not always being updated. Other times being because some devs choose to work overtime and John is the only one who can update the tracker. So once John leaves, he has to wait for the other developers to get out of the office which can go quite late! By then, John is often tending to his family and might not get to updating the game.

Require Memory and Graphics card
LightBringer replied to FireRealm8113's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
Adding to what has been said above, a system that can run games like ARMA 3, GTA V, Ark: Survival Evolved, ect would be a rough estimate to the requirements. Modules will be easier to run than the full game though. The devs did guess that a GTX 750Ti might potentially be the lowest GPU for the game but that should be taken with a grain of salt. There is no way to know the official min requirements until the game is released. -
Private Sever Cost
LightBringer replied to Jordan824's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
No confirmed price for servers, but the devs did say that they intent to make little to no profit on renting servers through them to make them as affordable as possible. -
Thank you for the heads up! I’ll direct this to the web-dev now! Nice find.

A couple of questions about the game
LightBringer replied to kioshi's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
When you purchase the game, with its release (early access or full release, depending on your package) you will be able to link your steam account to the website where you will then receive your key. If I recall, your character will transfer only in appearance. But that’s a maybe. Beta to full release transition will wipe progress. -
I am going to go with my gut feeling and say no on this. Murder is murder. Players cannot break into other's houses so that house is yours and it is 100% safe. It would be hard for the game's system to fairly and accurately detect if someone is trespassing and thus allow the murder to take place.

I don't think anything like an 'in game asset creator' would really be possible. Would cause for a lot of performance drops too as custom assets keep being added. Now, you can craft furniture though with a few different variables. You can change the material of, for example, a couch. The color can be changed too. And that's the case for a fair amount of furniture.

Extra rewards as a compensation for the constant delays.
LightBringer replied to Plumis's topic in The Town Square
I understand wishing for more, especially in return for going through all of the hardships development has brought, but those who paid did so to support game development, knowing there may be roadblocks. Same as every other funding project. In my opinion, whatever you paid for is fair. Especially after some of the higher packages have been boosted in rewards. But to compensate for everyone, I feel the only thing fair the developers could give people would be clothing or starting money. And all players already start with $1000. Giving every backer a car or home just makes the game too easy. Especially for those pledging less to get that ‘from scratch’ experience. While compensation would be nice, there is no good form in which I can see doing so that would make things still fair and fun and also feel like it’s enough compensation.- 51 replies

Modules are free?
LightBringer replied to KUANA's question in Tourism <span style='font-size:0.7em'>(Q&A)</span>
You will have to have pledged for the Founder's Package or higher to access the modules
