I have never been a band in a game before. Normally just mess around by my self. I could try it but there is no saying how well I will do or not do. Depending on the sound your going for even with rock you could use a double bass.(Also known as upright bass.) If you want more of that deep clean like sound. That is if you wanted a little difference to your band to stand out a bit. Just like I have seen some rock have a piano in it.(Example evanescence yes I do see them as rock) What instrument would I use? I would be willing to use a double bass or a bass guitar.(I do like the sound of the double bass more though.) If no interest then hope you can get positions filled before the game gets launched or after. I do want to mention as well that I will have also a ems job.

Xzothi replied to Xzothi's topic in The Town Square
Well I could see them not doing it. So I wondered if they will or not. Since a good deal of city like games do not have horses in it. -
Lol Still like that skit. Well if there are that many top secret assassins then I will be really busy. Sad thing is how secret of a assassin are you if people know you're a assassin?

Besides emotes, can we interact with each other? (Hugs, high fives, etc)
Xzothi replied to Kattycake's topic in The Town Square
I hope players will actually touch during these animations. A good deal of games I have come across they are always a bit away from the character and not really touching. (Only exception I can think of is second life.) One question though, will there be all types of kissing? Like french kiss and the like? What about with hugs will there be bear hugs and the like? -
Oh sweet so there will be ruins and caves and such. Nice

Will it be like how apb did it? Since in that game there was designated areas where you could spray paint a custom decal you made in the customizer. Not a free form type graffiti like real life. Or is it just designated areas with free form graffiti?

Captcha to register/login to keep bots away
Xzothi replied to MitchellTheKiller's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
Do note there are captcha bots out there. This wouldn't cure the issue fully. It should be more of a multi step process. The harder it is to do the less likely it will happen. -
For me I got the package where it has everything I want to start out with. Since you can't pick and choose rewards. I stopped putting more money into the project.

Something I didn't say that it could also be that it came from a used car dealership and that is all you could afford. I though prefer the grandfather version though. Gives the motorcycle some heart and history.
-
Well it has been said they are updating the webpage so this could fairly likely go with the updates.

People are complaining about the bike really? What is it called that you pledged for? A new motorcycle? No it is called a used motorcycle. If you look at it in RP sense it is more like it is passed on. Like it was your dads bike and probably your dads, dads bike before he got it. It could be said the same for the other vehicles. Only exception I see is the sports car. Guess you could say the sports car is also passed down some but it is more from a rich family. Though to me the sports car makes me think of someone going threw a midlife crisis.(It is likely because I have seen to many TV shows and, movies that go into a character having a midlife crisis, buying a similar car. So that thought is likely all on me.) I personally like the bike for what we get. It after all is the starter vehicle. Not the only vehicle of it's type in game. One thing to also note everyone will not like everything. So even if they made it into a bike some of the people complaining would want. Does not mean other people would want the same bike. You can't please everyone.

If I had to go with ridicules breast physics or, none I would go with none every time. I would like a realistic route as well so the bodies are more life like. This would also go for the men too. So body's have more flow. Not completely stationary. Some games even have the same physics in the butt moving in such odd ways.. They also need to make sure clothing is separate from the breasts if they even add physics there or anywhere else on the body. Otherwise you can get a weird affects. Even with hair effects it should have collision to the clothing and body at least. So it is more realistic. Always bugs me seeing hair go threw the body and clothing.

I wonder what kind of system they are planing to use. If they use Apb Reloaded system or even Mabinogi's system it would be nice. Some examples below on how it can sound and how it works. Apb Reloaded is more of a mixer then accually playing the songs like Mabinogi. http://apb.wikia.com/wiki/Music_Editor link to the apb one there.(Link the the Mabinogi version I down below.) With Mabinogi you did this with music scores. http://wiki.mabi.world/view/Score_Scroll Put a link to the wiki there to get a idea how music score system worked. Just mainly wanted to show results.

Identity should be a one life game you die you pay $30 real life money to buy another life to get back in
Xzothi replied to Noah325's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
Yeah in real life when your dead you are dead. You do know you can have a perma death system in game with not needing it to be a real money fee right? You can just do it where you create a new character upon death. The new character in lore can just be the a close family member or someone in your characters will. So that your character in game pays a tax if you will by using in game currency.(Could also do that with no tax.) There then you got perma death system with out needing to pay real life money. -
Yeah I know. I was just mentioning the reasons why someone would want first person.(Which really does not have anything to do with VR.) With just a side remark wondering how they will do third person camera. I have seen a game handle it in away where the third person camera does not let you look over things that you are hiding behind. Also seen it where if in a car it will not let you see outside unless you are the driver. I have also seen it go the other way by letting you do all the above and see threw walls by turning the camera in the right angle.

Um no. That would be hurting a big deal of the player base. How many people would really buy the game again after they die? If anything having a system like this, would encourage people to hack the game. So they can keep there character and not need to pay again. What are the bonuses to this system really? -
Okay what? First person is about immersion being a part of the world. Also removes some exploits. Has nothing to do with VR.. First person has been in video games for a every long time. Way before VR was a thing. With a first person only game you can sneak up to someone. Third person you can't really. This is because with third person you can look behind corners see behind your back and so on. This game though will have both. I just wonder what there plans are for third person view though. Like how will they handle these exploits of people hiding behind things and you can see them but they can see you.

How will we download the game, and will it be synced with Steam?
Xzothi replied to sp00f_IOM's topic in The Town Square
Thanks for explaining with way it is planning to be done. Will it be free to download on steam but just need a payed account to work? Or is it more of you buy any version it does not matter where it is downloaded? As in if you bought it on steam you can go to the site sign in and download there if you want. Because you already bought it. Or it is also tied to where you bought it? Like even with the Uplay example you can't download it from Uplay until you get your Uplay account tied to your steam. Then you can download either place. -

Xzothi replied to sp00f_IOM's topic in The Town Square
They could ask you what version you want and not let you download until answer. If want the steam version you get the steam version but use the site version. So basically you get a key depending which version you want. Depending how they do it you could download the non Steam version but with out a key it will not run and you will not be able to log into it. They could also do it like how some games give you the option but once you pick you can't pick the other and can't download the other with out paying again. Like Steam DRM version or Non Steam DRM free. How would you pick you ask? On the site on your account. One issue that is not mentioned that will need to be addressed more so at launch. Is will they want to even send a client out to download from there site? Since they would need to host said file and bandwidth space for that file to send it.(At least from how I understand it.) You also have to make sure the file does not corrupt or just not work if to many people try to download it. It is easier with the modules since they are likely going to be much smaller size then the game will be at launch. Sure they could send it over to some other site to host the files. That are just linked into this site. They would need to make it account based for that option to work. As in you download it but unless you already got a account that has payed for the game then it will not work. Now they would also need to make sure not more then one person can log into the same account. Why does that matter? Well it matters because someone could download and use the client version here as someone else has the steam version on there computer and play it there. How to fix this? Well some software company's got this factored in by needing to activate and deactivate for each computer. Like a seat system. It is what Marvelous Designer, ShaderMap(payed version),ZBrush, just to name a few.(For a bonus mention Shade 3D may also but I am not sure.) So there are options they could do so there will not be a issue.(As long as they are willing too and can afford it of course.) -
I plan to live in a studio apartment so it relays on where they are located.

I just want to mention they could have the EMTs just change into gear at the hospital. As well as change into the correct vehicle. Not saying they will but just something I think it would fit doing like I suspect would happen for being a Cop. For trust reasons I doubt using your personal vehicle would work for these types of jobs. It would be hard to trust a Cop or a EMT that comes in some random rusted car. We will see what they do though. Some of this stuff is after all to early to really tell. To me this early in development there just trying to get the basics down. Then work on there plans after they have a basic idea of how they want to do things. Could also be they have everything planed already. They just will share it later when it is farther along.

I think it is to early to tell for some things. Other things we know this game is not of course.

I hope so because honestly. I just rather game with out steam. I like to have my games separate and, I like having games on different launchers. Not that I hate steam or anything I just do not want every game I play there. I know I am odd here for my reasons.
