Sometimes I think another factor could easily be from some people not understanding English that well. So they get all up and arms over something that someone has said. Even though what was said was not that.

Something I forgot to say. Is that the photography system they talked about reminded me of the ShaderMap software. Not sure if it is the same. Or that even ShaderMap would be good for game development. Since depending how the tool works it could easily be to heavy on the system.

@BrianHamilton The toxicity is not just about dates either. There is also the factor of being attacked because I hope for something to be on release. Not demanding them how they must do it at first release. Yet I got attacked just discussing this.

You are blinded by thinking this has anything to do with making all races and genders at start.(I didn't say that anywhere.) You were the one who lashed out at me saying I was some social justice warriors comment anyway. Which again if you read my post it had nothing to do with that. It had all to do with what they said they would have on the first release. Yet you attacked me anyway. Wake up comment was about you waking up and reading what I said with out your daze in your eyes and actually read what was there. Not read into things that isn't there, Or only read a part of it and not the full post.(Clearly that didn't work.) It is almost like you harp at me when I am commenting on a something they said originally would be out during said first release yet you do not harp on anyone else getting upset about delays why is this? If they couldn't or, wouldn't do it then why say they would do it? I will say this again I am asking them to have the basics of what they said they would have. I am not asking for the final version of all models. Just the basic versions of what they said they would have. An if they didn't it wouldn't be the end of the world. The thing about asking and hoping. You can always say no. It isn't a demand. It is about getting answers.(That I was wondering if they would or not. Since I know they could delay it. I was just trying to get that information.) Edited in: I also didn't make any demands I said I hope. I said I feel. I never said they are I never said they should. You can hope for things but if they do not happen you are just disappointed it isn't the end of the world. What you feel doesn't mean that is what it is.(You can feel like crap doesn't mean you are. Nore would I say he was giving a excuse. What I said is sometimes it feels like a excuse. I have seen how development can go a different way depending on where the developers see the priorities. Example building the needed basic models getting them finalized and finished in a test like environment. What I mean is that they build the models and animations first. An build them in a grey box test environment. Once the models are done and finalized then they move onto building the real environment. (I have not seen or heard of this type of building in a long time.)

An how am I to know if they are holding it back or not, If I do not ask? Since I have seen it clearly that it can take awhile and be delayed. I also know because I know development more then you may realize that it is about priority. An I am not complaining it will not or complaining it will. All I said was I hope it is not. Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. Nothing more nothing less. If you could take one thing out of what I said you could take out that I hope if it is delayed it will not take 5 years or more. (If you wanted to take Hellions case it took about 6 months if I remember correctly. I would prefer a delay to be 3 to 4 months if you must know.) Also isn't having male and female models testing the mechanic on how to switch? How it could cause bugs and issues for the models not switching correctly. Town Square after all is a alpha release.(From what I have read that is what has been said.) What you are describing is a demo.

You need to wake up really. Using words just to discredit someone else doesn't do anything for your point. An you have to realize immersion is a part of the character models. Are you saying Identity is a world where only the male race lives and roams the world? How would the population even breed if that were even the case? Wouldn't that in it self all go into immersion braking as you put it? Also how does a basic feature that was suppose to be there have anything to do with social justice warriors? What are you talking about? I was just wondering if they were and hoping they wouldn't because to me that is a basic feature. Something at one point they said it would be there. (From when I posted it.) Anyway the developer confirmed they are not holding it back. Here is the thing asking questions is how you gain knowledge. When it is a personal question putting reasons behind said question helps understand why you asked in the first place.

I was just imagining something funny with what you said. Someone going into surrender state to said person and a random person runs to handcuff or zip-ties them and takes off with them. Be almost like your under arrest then they surrender, then some random person runs over and says, nope they are mine. Criminal it would be like you better surrender then the person surrenders then, a random person runs over and says, you snooze you lose, this person is mine.

Just at times it feels like excuses to keep holding back the female model. So I guess it comes down to where the priority is. Since that is also a factor here. Sometimes as well it seems they want to bring them both up at the same state as well. If males have more clothing and more stuff at first that is fine. Just why can't the females have temp animations and all of that. An just one set of clothing and update that later? Also it is something I been sitting on when I have seen a few games in development before. Here are some game examples I know of positive and negative. Dead Linger was still in a alpha and in development. They never made it to making the female model before they just stopped. Star Citizen has been on it for what 5 or so years and at the end of this year if all goes well we will finely have the female model. Subnautica was going to have a female model at one point according to the developers. Now I got no clue what happened there. Now for the only positive example I know of is Hellion. Yes it did take a bit for them to add the female model but it does not seem it took as long. I just hope whatever happens it is more on the side of Hellion when it comes to if the female model gets delayed or, moved out of the first town square release.(A bit longer then I would like but still not too bad.)

As I said before I more can't wait to play it then see the video. (Before in the thread of this that got deleted.) I also hope what they show is for both sides of the character. Just to confirm that both genders will be playable in the town square. (As I said before I only worry or wonder if both will make it in goes back to seeing games where the female character model gets added in later in development. I just hope it does not happen here.) As I said before I hope these delays didn't affect the release date of when the town square was announced to be released. (If it does then it would be understandable honestly.)

Thanks for that info. I still though wish motorcycles had just a little bit of storage. So they could have a saddle bags on the bike. That is just me though. If we do have backpacks in game I will not mind no storage in bikes.(As long as you can wear your backpack on a bike.) Oh an if it is the plan to relay on micro-transactions to keep the game going I hope they make sure they enough stuff to sell. I say that because I have seen games close down just because to me it didn't seem there was enough there to buy. (I have seen this happen before. Population is high but the spending is low. An so are the amount of stuff one can buy.) I will say this whatever is done with micro-transactions please, please, please, never put in lootboxes. (I know this has been said before they will not but I still wanted to mention this again.) -

@LuckyDuck isn't the advantage to the a vehicle more depend on the type? Like the dirt bike and the motorcycle compared to the cars. Since last I heard bikes do not have extra carry capacity like other vehicles.(Unless that has been changed.). The only slight advantage I could give the bikes is being able to get to your destination faster. Though depending on how the game is structured that may not be a advantage at all. -

Win you are voted into being the governor/voted in to be a political figure. You do not get these things for free. Players vote you in that reside on said server. It isn't magically given to you. This was said in a stream awhile ago. Lose would mean you didn't get voted in.

If you are talking about the game I would say medical. If this was about real life I would pick other. The reason why I answer that way is because the full game may not come out in 2018. Just the first module has a planed date nothing else.(An it will not have any jobs in it from my understanding.) -
I personally can't wait to find out how the early basics work in this game. Also how the game feels to play.

Well I know I am not popular and honestly hope it stays that way. Though since I want to be in the medical field It is likely that will not be that way for long. This is because if this is like any game doing anything to do with healing tends to be rare job that is filled. (May do other side stuff but honestly that is the only thing I can confirm and rely on.) -

I know I originally said I didn't want to go into this. Yet this topic has been bugging me so I decided to go into this but keep it somewhat on topic.(Since the topic seems to be about keeping females. Looking like females.) It is fairly simple why they are though. It has to do with the female model they picked compared to the male model they picked. Then it goes into how much clothing they add on the female model. I have some comparison renders I made.(None of them have hair though.) I decided to show instead of talk really. All three side by side. Can you tell which female model represents what is normally picked? This is them back to back from each other where you can see that depending on who they would pick as a model can have a affect on the sizes. This model wouldn't work to well in fps games since the male has a much bigger hitbox if we wanted to go into skin tight hitboxes. This one would work much better but it is rarely used. What normally happens is they just take the shorter one above and just scaling it taller. (If they even bother changing it at all.) Sure this model as well you could tweak her a bit to make it so there is no scale differences from the male to the female. The point of this was showing that just changing the model to a better model can change how the hitbox would work. An doing so does not make the female male looking. (There is more that can be done here as well to make the hitboxes the same.) You could say yeah not all males are the same but really not all females are either. -

It is not it is price and resource management. It costs the server resources and client depending on the server nothing to do with the hotbox. A good deal of the times anyway the hitbox is the same size no matter what shape your character is. Like how they did with all points bulletin.(Big box.) Then you got to realize if first person and third person are not the same animation.(Which a lot of games they are not.) Since it takes a bit more to get animations to be the same and look right in first person and third.(They line it up in post and you in first person a lot of times are just arms your full character is not in first person. Which adds another reason why first and third person animation is not shared.) Then that adds to how much space animation takes on resources.(Resources refers to memory and cpu time. If you ignore these things you will have performance issues across the board.) In the end it all comes down to the costs. (edit: I could go into a whole big thing why female models are smaller then male models but this is not the place for that type of discussion.) -

I wish I could find more normal walks that I like.(I really tried to find some. See to much the same with small differences honestly. Even with what I posted here on my second post has that lol.) Personally I think all walks would need to have some feeling of flair to them. Like the first walks I provided as a possible example I didn't like because there didn't seem to be any personality flair to the walks. I personally out of the walks I found and posted I liked the sims 4 ones. They seemed to have some personality to them. Sure not walks I like as a whole but still. Mostly I was trying to post what the op wanted. Since it is good and all to go into what you dislike. It is nice to know what you do like and want. So it is easier to discuss talk about and so on. As well as the developers can't read are minds on what we would like. (I personally would like a more tough like walk with personality. Not a overly model walk.) Since all I got out of what the op said is what they do not want. -

I have not played GTA but I also didn't like there animations. I can't say I would like the animations above really either. It is a real person so I can't complain to much. adding some more from some games and other places..(Not real people.) Let me know if you like any of these walks? It is good to give the developers a visual idea on what you want that is why I am trying to help you. Not just a visual of what you don't want. -

See the thing is it just comes down to there animation budget. Then there is who they use if they use mocap animation. Since after all not everyone has the same style of walk in the real world. Some times they even use a male mocaping for a female. So it depends on how much not just budget when It comes to money in walking animations but budget when it comes to client and server resources. Adding some female walk animation resources that they could take ideas from. Yes there are many more styles out there but these two I could find to many out there are recycled of the same style of female walk. Do these fit with what you would like for female walking animations?
