Whilst it may be possible to run a campaign as an individual as those such as Gene Smith, Thomas Hetch and yourself, are doing, however, a stronger support and following ran by a large team shows more stability, organisation and coordination than one who stands alone. That's just my opinion though.

I did, in fact, understand the implication, however, I decided to respond with a somewhat more humorous response. Employees of The Hamilton Party will be paid with income earned from tax as this is covered under "government projects" and mentioned already via our website. You can find the mention via the "Tax" policy here. As I understand that there will be concerns in regards to money earned from tax going into the wages of THP employees, allow me to put it this way: Without the help of our Public Relations, Advertisement, Security and Website Translation Teams, this campaign would not be possible so, without them, I would have to disappoint all of my current supporters by stepping down as I wouldn't have gained even half of the amount of supporters that I currently have. As I have stated in the past, my employees are the gears behind the whole campaign. They make everything work from promotion and, if elected, actually putting things into place. For example, I plan to, in the hopefully-near future, host public events to help tackle gender discrimination and promote LGBTQ+ rights which I understand is a very large issue within the world. In order to host these and to put laws and acts into place, I need the help of the party to do so. The Hamilton Party is not just about me although I am a large part of that. It's about us ALL. I hope that helped to clarify that for you.

Nvm. Using mobile now and it’s still white/shadow.

Ah, I didn't know that Both?

It appears to be fixed, @NanoSpace and @Frostybeans, however, the font style seems to have changed if you look at our names on the left.

I'm on the Discord and someone said "John" (who is John?) is "fiddling" around with it. It was just a random person though so I'm not sure how reliable that info is.
-
Just checked it just now. The main page of the forums looks alright. Did they change the font on it? I think it actually looks better! But inside of an actual thread (like this one) looks absolutely terrible!
-
I'm honestly not sure what to think of this. I can see what they were trying to do; by making it look - perhaps - a bit "cleaner/smoother" looking? However, I REALLY dislike the giant white headings on the boards now, it makes it look worse in my own, personal opinion. It makes it look a bit uglier. As for reactions, I feel like they are attempting to copy Facebook in some way and I can definitely see people abusing the "Haha" reaction to annoy people by leaving "Haha" reactions on random, serious posts.

Exactly what I was trying to say earlier. Our own personal security are in charge of ensuring the safety of our employees at these large events (such as conferences), however, they will also assist the public where possible, although, that will mainly be the job of the police. The police are more focused on crowd control and our security are more focused on the safety of our staff. Unfortunately, we haven't looked into "free market economics" much, however, it will definitely be something which we'll aim to look at in the near future and as we approach the opening of the Town Square! As for control over businesses, all businesses are independently run by the founder and/or CEO of those businesses. How their business runs is dependent on their actions and we cannot force any business to act or perform in a certain way unless the business is currently violating a law in which they will be fined and required to make actions accordingly to prevent it from occurring again. As part of our Employment Opportunities Act, we will be reaching out to businesses to create strong partnerships and affiliations to create more vacancies for the unemployed. In return, we offer the businesses more traffic and advertisement and the possibility of ourselves using their service in the future. Under a separate character, I currently own Hamilton Homes which is a real estate business. This will be under a separate character entirely and should not, in any way at all be considered to be related with The Hamilton Party. This is clearly stated on the Hamilton Homes thread and on the Hamilton Homes website. Hamilton Homes is it's own, independent business which isn't affiliated with any political organisations or parties. Apologies, I accidentally pressed on CTRL+Enter and sent it too early.

The Hamilton Party is a political organisation and the "gears" behind my campaign for Governor. From the Public Relations (PR) Team to the Security Team and the Advertisement Team to the Website Translation Team, they all play a massive part in helping my campaign to grow and expand. Hamilton Homes, under a separate character, is a real estate business which isn’t in ANY way related to The Hamilton Party. This is also clearly stated on the Hamilton Homes Careers thread and on the Hamilton Homes website.

Have you ever been to or even seen a public press conference? There's always police officers there. Why don't you ask them why they are "taking officers away from protecting the people"? What about concerts? Or Pride events? There's always police there. Why? To keep the people safe. The police officers and Security Team are there to ensure the safety of EVERYONE at the event, however, the Security Team are simply more focused on the party. However, that's not to say they won't assist the public. It's just that it's more of the main police's job to do that. Police are important at these types of events. Concerts might have private security, however, there will always be A LOT of police at the events too. So why should we hire a private security company such as Atlas when we have our own private security and the police force. Regardless of what the event is, if it will attract a lot of attention, police will most likely be needed. No offence, but that is just common sense. You don't need to "educate" me on anything. You may have been a community member for almost 2 years now but I have roughly double your content count meaning I have been much more involved within the community than you have. I'm not trying to make it a competition however, my point is that I have been keeping track of changes within the community either every day or every other day since I joined. I am well aware of the developer's statements in regards to the police however you are wrong. There will also be detectives, even though they may or may not be uniformed the same as other police officers. Our Security Team, as has been discussed already with every member of my party's Security Team, will be provided with free security clothing once the island is fully released and we have had time to get set up (since it will obviously take time once the island opens to get started. The Devs have already said people will start out in lower-paying jobs such as taxi drivers or delivery drivers, etc. and work their way up). We will design our clothing and provide it to the Security Team as a form of identification. There will be enough police officers to cover the rest of the island and to attend any important government events too. Officers appointed to one of our events should report in that they are unavailable for callouts as they are at one of these government events. All it takes is some simple communication. There will be plenty of other units available. Think of real life, imagine being a police officer appointed to a concert. If that's where you've been positioned, you stay until the end of the concert and until you've been told otherwise. You don't leave to respond to another call. You let other officers do that. I've corrected you. Your final question seems much more of a question for the Developers as I'm not sure how they plan on working that. However, the licences are personal to the individual person. As for the firearms, we don't yet know as it's far too early to know about that yet. Perhaps if you asked a developer or one of the Moderators they could tell you. However, for roleplaying sakes just now, until we know otherwise, if you are a police officer, the guns belong to the police department so, if you are fired from your job, you would have to return your weapon. As for going off-shift, we don't yet know. Are you done?
-
Let's clear this up quickly but firstly, let's break character and go OUT of roleplay. Let's look at real life quickly. The FBI, CIA and your everyday standard police officers are all a form of Law Enforcement. The only difference is that they work in separate departments and do different tasks, however, they are all capable of making an arrest. This will be how our Security Team will work. They will be a form of Law Enforcement, however, their department will be government-based, protecting important individuals from the party and being positioned during important events such as large press conferences, etc. In addition, police officers would, as they would in real life, also be available at such an event. I hope that helps to clarify that issue. To correct your statement of: "your political party, a non-government entity", The Hamilton Party is a form of representation (a "face" if you like, or even a "symbol") behind my candidacy for the Governor seat, however, they are also, much more importantly, the people who help to make it all happen. From the Public Relations Team to the Security Team and the Advertisers to the Website Translators, every member of our team helps my campaign to operate. I'm sure you understand that.
-
Okay, firstly, that escalated from 0-100 real quick. Let's keep the insulting to a minimum, eh? Our Security Team will, of course, have firearms so long as they possess a legal and valid gun licence. The Security Team will be government-funded law enforcement officers tasked with protecting our party members within the government. So they have already been mentioned within the thread and the website via law enforcement. Any other questions? Note: As stated at the top of this thread, the website will contain the most up-to-date information and this thread is outdated. The purpose of keeping this thread available is solely for the promotion of the party and to provide a rough outline of the party's views.

Hello, @NanoSpace, Thanks for the message earlier, unfortunately, I'm not able to reply since I'm currently very busy with some things in real life but I do appreciate the concept of this thread. I've been reading some of the other posts by @LuciousTimes and others on this thread and I agree that previous polls similar to this one have gone out-of-date and are not as accurate anymore as the Original Poster (OP) has failed to maintain it's relevance within the community. I hope that this is something you will be able to achieve by keeping this thread alive. If you can confirm that you will do everything in your power to keep this thread active - in which, of course, I will assist in doing so - then I will gladly direct my followers and supporters towards using this thread. Until now, I had been using the Updates List of Candidates & Poll which is no longer active. Best of luck to everybody in the political race! EDIT: Please note that you have listed @FrancePourLaVie as an individual without party when, in fact, she currently leads the Front Nationals Party.

So, I was originally planning on posting "Just 1 day to go!", however, after reading many of the posts on this thread, I just have to clear some things up. Firstly, the following quote is exactly right! What do you want? Do you want an awful, laggy, glitchy and broken game which was rushed because the player's were pressuring the Developers too much, or do you want a fun, smooth experience with minimal glitches and bugs in which the Developers were able to take their time and work out most of the bugs and glitches? Look, let's be completely honest here; if you're expecting an entirely smooth, fully-operational and working game as soon as this first module releases then you're only going to be disappointed. This is a WORK IN PROGRESS and the first module is strictly a SOCIAL module. It WON'T provide access to the entire island and WILL have some bugs and glitches which YOU NEED TO REPORT. The Devs won't be able to make the game excellent if you don't help to make it that way by letting them know about the faults. My conclusion is this: How about everybody just stops whining at the Developers for taking a while? They have provided release dates in the past and had to delay it because of new issues which had appeared and had, until now, promised to never provide any more release dates until they KNEW they were ready. If they are saying that they are ready now, then they are ready now, however, if they do, for whatever reason have to delay it (which I'm sure they won't but just if they do), then, whilst, of course I'll be a bit disappointed, I'll understand that these things happen and we just have to deal with it. Please don't pressure the Developers. They are only a very tiny development team in regards to larger video game development companies and have been working unbelievably hard considering that so we should be giving them praise, not pressure. The game will come out when it is ready. My best advice is to just wait until tomorrow and we'll see what happens then. After that, we should all just try to stop thinking about the release date and stop worrying about when it's going to come out because the more that we think about it, the longer it will seem like it is taking. Just forget about it and let time fly by. Happy Halloween in advance to everybody who celebrates it.

A place to get to know other Officers
BrianHamilton replied to LocalWateringHole's topic in The Precinct
Glad to see that you enjoyed learning more about us and that you seem to agree with our policies! Unfortunately, as I have been very busy in real life, I have been unable to respond to some of the applications, however, I do check them very often and will send you a private message shortly in regards to it. It's always great to have wonderful supporters like you who will help to make the island an even better place. Have a great day/night.- 13 replies

You don’t need to educate me on English and phrases, I’m well aware of what you meant and my response is still “Don’t be so quick to assume! Lots of people will be visiting the cinema!” -
There won't be any digging or fossil-hunting in the game so I'm afraid that this won't be possible. You could always suggest it as an idea but I'm very much certain it would just get shot down and rejected as it wouldn't be fun. Nobody really wants to be walking around digging for fossils. Plus, that would be an absolute nightmare to code; randomly digging up the ground in an open-world multiplayer game. It wouldn't work and would be too much effort for something that nobody really wants. Sorry.

I personally ADORE old movies. Especially black and white ones as do many of my friends. Don't be so quick to assume! Lots of people will be visiting the cinema!
